"Anyone ever told you that you get a staring problem when you get high, Harrington?" Eddie asks, head lolling to the side and briefly obscured by a cloud of smoke. Steve freezes like a trapped prey animal and here, under Eddie's amused face, he has never felt more like one.
Adventures in the Upside Down included.
"What?"
"You think I don't see you, but I do. Watching me."
Eddie's eyes are staring right through him, large and dark and fucking gorgeous and Steve tries to swallow but feels his throat stick. Eddie hits the joint again and smiles, like he has a secret Steve doesn't know about.
"You stare at everyone like that or am I just special?"
Steve is feeling brave. He’s feeling cocky.
He’s feeling high on Eddie Munson’s weed and Eddie fucking Munson’s attention.
“You’re plenty special,” he says, using Eddie’s own words against him, much to his obvious delight.

“Acted on it.” Stede says. It hangs in the air for a moment. Ed smiles.
“Honestly I thought this was a game of chicken, mate. I was waiting for you to crack.”
This does something to Stede. He steps forward with that smile he only has in these circumstances. He puts his hand on the small of his back, his other hand slinking up into his hair. He pulls Ed forward, and for a second Ed thinks this is him cracking. But Stede pulls on Ed’s hair, stopping them from a kiss at the last moment.
“Oh, I really don’t think you should have said that.” he murmurs, and he’s so close Ed can practically feel their lips brush together.
“What?” Ed asks, but Stede’s already walking away. “Mate, are you on about?”
Stede doesn’t turn around.

“What do you want? I’ll do anything.” Blackbeard pretends he doesn’t hear the way he sounds as he says it, like he’s gratefully signing away his life.
“I think I want you to - to fuck me.” He’s quiet, barely above a whisper. “If you want that.” His voice catches like silk on metal, and Blackbeard’s brain whites out for a little bit. He opens his arms and Stede crawls up the bed and kisses him, touching his hair, mouth wet and trembling.
“I’ve thought about it. I’ve - wanted it,” Stede tells him, and the image (Stede on his hands and knees fucking himself on Blackbeard’s cock demanding more, Stede riding him, little jumps of those gorgeous hips, prick spurting without even a hand on him, Stede with those legs up over his shoulders bent almost in half shocked speechless by how good it feels- )
— might have crossed his mind. Once or twice.

Summary
This is what had always been most treacherous about the Forsaken One--people are usually acclimated to its presence, long before they’re sacrificed to it. Loneliness isn’t the experience of finding yourself the only person in an empty room. Most of the time, people feel loneliness like a habit. Sometimes, there’s no reason for it all.

The man laughed, taking a step forward and raising a hand to point at him.
"I'm you, from the future!" he said, then swayed, eyes going unfocused, and collapsed to the floor in a dead faint.

Bookmarker's Notes
They’ve done this so much, not much else to do on some of these planes, and Magnus knows that when he presses his thumb to Taako’s clit softly, he’s going to get a whimper, a nod, and Taako’s trembling thighs to egg him on. He does, and it all settles low in his belly as he rubs circles with his thumb, uses his hips to rock into Taako slow and easy.
This is exactly how he likes Taako—splayed out against Magnus’s bed because it’s comfier, his hair fucked out of its bun, sweat slicking him in a glistening reminder of exactly what Magnus can reduce him to. It’s perfect. If he could somehow etch this memory of him behind his eyelids so he never loses it, he would.
But since he can’t, he settles for a mumbled question of, “Stay like this for me?”
“Don’t get all sappy on me now, Mags,” Taako teases, his voice slurring around the words, barely even glancing at Magnus as he says it. “I know I’m the most beautiful elf you’ve ever seen, homie; you don’t have to tell me every time you’re inside me.”
Magnus laughs, full-bellied and too loud for the moment. He says, “I know I don’t have to.”
“Listen, you keep fucking me like this, and I’ll find my way here every single day, hombre.” When Magnus guides his other hand down, trails his fingers over the insides of Taako’s thighs, and presses at where he’s already got Taako so full, Taako whines, lolls his head to the side. “Twice a day.”

Another take on Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship over the last six thousand years, told in between the canon scenes from the beginning of episode three.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Crowley…”
“Shut up,” Crowley murmurs. He slowly raises his head, dragging the bridge of his nose against the point of Aziraphale’s jaw, and presses his mouth to Aziraphale’s throat. His lips hunt out Aziraphale’s pulse, and he lets out a shuddery little breath when he finds it, which Aziraphale echoes above his head. Crowley’s grip on Aziraphale’s wrist tightens, and it might be painful but Aziraphale allows it anyway, with his arm still around Crowley’s shoulders.
Crowley feels a bit dizzy with it all.
“Fancy me, looking for a heartbeat on an angel,” he mumbles. “Like that means anything.”
“It does,” Aziraphale says. “It does.”
“Shut up.”
“I love you very much, Crowley,” Aziraphale says. “And it means everything.”

Summary
Crowley was standing in the middle of the room, hands in his pockets, looking a little lost. Aziraphale eyed the distance between them. Five steps. Five steps, and six thousand years, and a battlefield spanning an eternity.
The story of the little moments over the millennia that shape an angel’s regard for a demon, and the way he slowly, with great reluctance but inevitable surety, falls in love.

The demon tipped his head to the side, and Aziraphale realised with a jolt that he was watching him in the reflection in the window. The angel flicked his gaze away, heart thudding.
Crowley turned to look at him, taking a breath then letting it out, slow and controlled. Aziraphale looked back, stomach swooping. It felt like falling. It felt like flying.
Crowley jerked his head away, sitting up straighter and shifting his leg back from Aziraphale’s. “Not… not yet,” he whispered, the faintest flush on his cheeks. “Not… here.”
Aziraphale stared, mouth parting in surprise. “Not yet?” he repeated, whispered voice a little strangled.
The demon actually squirmed, shifting in his seat. “Aziraphale,” he hissed through clenched teeth, a warning.
Aziraphale cleared his throat, facing the front of the bus again. “Right. Yes.” He looked down at his hands in his lap, flexing his fingers then balling his hands into loose fists. “Not yet.”

“I’ve been thinking,” Aziraphale says again, “that it might save some time if you just moved in, wouldn’t it?”
The glass in Crowley’s hand shatters, sending sharp shards cascading to the floor.
“Oh, Crowley, really?” Aziraphale sighs, waving the mess away. He takes the crooked stem from Crowley’s frozen hand and tosses it in the bin by the sink. “Must you break everything?”
Crowley barely hears him. “I’m sorry,” he says. “What?”

Crowley found himself blurting out, “I bought you a cottage.”
“Sorry?” Aziraphale said, eyebrows going up.
“We don’t have to live there. Could just use it for a holiday, if you like,” Crowley babbled on. “Or a honeymoon. Unless you’d rather—we could go back to Florence?”
“I’m sure the cottage will be perfect,” Aziraphale said, and then kissed him, right in front of all the humans, and presumably, the Almighty Herself.
“I put lots of books in it,” Crowley assured him.
Aziraphale gave him that heart-meltingly soft smile. “Will it have you in it?”
“Yes?”

Summary
Aziraphale knew Crowley liked him. He'd known it with a horrible clarity since around 1100, which was at least a thousand years after the first time he'd thought of kissing Crowley, and some eight hundred and odd before it occurred to him that the specific quality of Crowley's regard could be very dangerous for both of them, if they actually admitted their feelings aloud.
It was also two weeks since any of that had mattered at all anymore.

"Human spine to snake spine," Aziraphale said, holding his hands out to demonstrate the general range of his point. Wine sloshed over the edge of his glass and vanished just before hitting the sofa's upholstery. "And yours is over here, on the snake end."
"You've never been a snake," Crowley pointed out. "You don't know how bendy a snake is. From the inside."

Summary
Aziraphale, for as many books as he’s read, isn’t sure he has the words to explain the vastness of his feeling, the burden of denying something so all-encompassing. He’d need years to do that. Decades, maybe. Now isn’t the time even for silence because they have important things to do, but he can’t bring himself to break whatever’s happening between them. He’d stand staring at Crowley until they turned to stone. Until Heaven and Hell came to punish them with whatever cruel and unusual means they’d come up with.
(A story in which an angel and a demon survive, Crowley abruptly moves in, and Aziraphale learns about what matters.)

“I just…I thought things would be different, you know?”
“They are different, Crowley,” Aziraphale pointed out, trying to be gentle about it. “The world’s still here for one.”
“No they aren’t,” Crowley growled, sitting up unsteadily to look more directly at Aziraphale who froze where he was. “Nothing’s different. Nothing that matters at least."
Crowley and Aziraphale react rather differently to the the not-end of the world. Aziraphale is determined to find out why.

Aziraphale really couldn’t care less about what he had to do at the moment. He knew exactly what he was doing and he wasn’t about to stop for anything. “I could have you like that for eons, taste only you for the rest of eternity.” He reached down to rub circles around Crowley’s clit which he was delighted to feel twitch against his fingers. “You could do that again couldn’t you? I could make you do it again. Would you like that, love? You could have whatever you like, my mouth, my fingers—just for you. Only for you, my lovely.”
Crowley sobbed above him, clinging to him harder than ever. “Stop, please, God, angel, you’re killing me—”
Aziraphale moved so he could look him in the eyes. “Never.”
There was something very breakable in Crowley’s eyes, something like belief for just a moment before he blinked it away. “Fine, but at least have the decency to fuck me while you’re at it. Please, I’ve been waiting so damn long.”
Aziraphale blinked, caught a bit off guard. “Can I?” he asked, wanting to more than anything but determined not to be selfish.
“You’d better, unless you want to see me actually lose it.”

“Not objecting, just a point of uh, theological interest: is this a temptation? I mean are you tempting me here, or is it…uhm?”
Aziraphale opened his mouth as if to protest, closed it again, and finally offered: “Well actually now that you mention it I suppose it is. I mean I am, yes. But temptation seems such a loaded word, doesn’t it? I just thought, in for a penny in for a pound – if they’re even watching they already know we’ve been consorting together, so we might as well make the most of it. Crowley squeezed his eyes closed. “Stop it,” he hissed.
Aziraphale went still.
“No, not that you idiot, keep doing that – I mean stop saying things like that.” He was breathless, undone. He’d held it together through six thousand years of the worst that heaven, hell and humanity could throw at each other, an apocalypse that wasn’t, and one low-ranking angel telling him he was lovely in a hotel room would finally prove to be the one thing he couldn’t withstand.
