Ghost's entire brain short circuits.
There's a solid five seconds, minimum, where he swears every cell in his body stops dead. He barely manages to mumble a "shut it, Johnny", which doesn't get Soap to look even a little bit apologetic. Instead, he just chuckles, knocks their knees together, and settles in for the ride home. He looks completely unaffected, like he didn't say anything at all.
