No, rather Shinsou is hit with a quirk that thoroughly strips him of every inch of his dignity and actively encourages him to choose a new identity and never be seen again.
The quirk makes him cry. Specifically, it makes him bawl when he looks at Aizawa and Yamada.

Summary
Jesse was born with a genetic mutation - one that's documented but still rare. He has cat ears in place of typical 'human' ears, and while it's a challenge, Jesse isn't one to let something like that control his life. That isn't to say he doesn't hide them, because he totally hides them.
