Summary
The first thing that Billy notices, after he wakes up, is how cold he is. It’s not the frigid sea air from California, or the biting cold of Hawkin’s winter. Instead, it’s like the cold air inside of a freezer. It makes everything feel dark. It’s stagnant, unrelenting cold. There’s no breeze, no movement. Billy feels as though he couldn’t shiver, even if his body was desperately wanting to. He feels that if he takes anything beyond a shallow breath, something terrible will happen.
He feels watched, by something that raises the hairs on the back of his head, something that makes the icky tar of fear slide down his throat. He's one of those butterflies in museums, pinned in place, bombarded with the stares of hundreds of eyes. powerless to move, to escape, even though every instinct in his head is screaming at him to run.

Chapter 12's sneak peak:
“Do you feel that?” She asks Nancy. Her breath is visible now, puffs of near translucent white.
“Yeah,” Nancy says, and her footsteps quicken. Robin can feel her heart pounding in her chest as they pass one doorway, then another, then another. It’s not fast enough. “We need to get out of here.”
The words have barely left her mouth when a scream rips its way through the air, drawn out and horrifying loud. They both whip their heads around at the sound, and Robin can feel dread curling in her gut. There’s a couple more screams, each more terrified than the last, and then a gurgling wail that makes the hairs on the back of Robin’s neck stand up. That’s when she places the voice, when she realizes that she knows exactly who it is that’s screaming.
