Summary
Duff is absolutely in love with this girl. He dreams of her holding his hand, kissing his cheek, telling him things he wants to hear; the whole mile and a half. She's gorgeous, and funny, and real cute when she dances - and she's over at his house a lot, so she knows him pretty well, too.
The problem? She's his older brother's "kinda-sorta-girlfriend".
After more than a few chance encounters with her, Duff realizes that, while she's a great girl, she also has more than her fair share of secrets, and there's a reason that she puts up such a good front - it's so that she doesn't feel threatened enough to run away. On the inside, she's crumbling, and the only thing worse than worrying about her sanity is the fear that she'll leave him for greener pastures when she does get better.
