Summary
Slodalpyr had not been a place where important things happened since the worship of Kad Ha'ringer faded.
The old volcano was still sacred, but few cared.
That made it a good place to perform a ritual that no Goran or other Lorekeeper had approved.
... If any place could be good for that.Series

Summary
Jon Antilles has always followed the rules Dark Woman taught him. But right now they are in conflict. Surely Rule One (Follow the Force) is more important than Rule Thirteen (Avoid Mandalorians)? And there are children who need rescuing.
Maybe Jon isn't all that good at following the rules.
The idea that Mandalorians can recognize the Mand'alor's soulmate comes from Emrys_Fae's Fate and Choice series, which is tonally very different from this. Since that's all I'm borrowing, I haven't linked this fic as "inspired by" that series. I don't think it would please people who had liked Fate and Choice.
The first six chapters were beta read by the wonderful geniecat2 as part of Fandom Trumps Hate.

Summary
The Crossing of the Bridge is a ceremony that requires each new emperor or empress, on the first solstice of their reign, to walk the entire length of the bridge over the Istandaärtha from eastern to western shore, alone save for their nonecharei, carrying nothing but a brazier of incense. We can be relatively sure that this tradition traces its roots to the very creation of the Wisdom Bridge, and that the first emperor to enact it was Edrehasivar the Seventh.

Summary
It happened gradually, was the thing. The emperor’s rings were tighter in the evening than the morning; that was normal. And if the fit of the rings changed, little by little, the change wasn’t large enough from day to day for any of them to notice. And then Nemer found himself thinking it was time to contact Dachensol Habrobar about adding some ease to Edrehasivar’s signet ring, and realised all of a sudden that something had changed.
The signet ring had fit perfectly at first, Nemer was sure of it. Hadn’t it? Or was he remembering that wrong? Maybe it had always been a little snug, maybe they had accepted that it didn’t slide on easily in exchange for the security of knowing it wouldn’t slide off easily.

Summary
Don't you feel sorry for Csethiro Zhasan? The Emperor's wife has to walk side-by-side with the Emperor's whore.
--*--*--
Ugly rumours abound regarding the Emperor's secretary, and the Empress is unwilling to let them slide any longer. AKA: Csevet is alarmed, Maia is concerned, and Csethiro is ready to fuck shit up.

Summary
On the Role of an Emperor is a book written by Edrehasivar VII Zhas (personal name Maia Drazhar) around the late 1230s AEC, though it wasn't published until after he died in 1239. It is partially a treatise on what defines a "good" emperor, and partially an autobiography discussing the process behind many important policy decisions as well as choice moments from his personal life.
