Aventurine’s hand finds its way into one of the loose folds of Veritas’ tunic, before cold fingers trail inward to skim against Veritas’ ribcage. Veritas holds himself still against the urge to shiver. He cannot afford to show that he’s affected, to give Aventurine another point in his unending game.
Aventurine yanks at the fabric, forcing Veritas to double over, barely catching himself against the back of the chair.
Aventurine chuckles, his face too close. “Aren’t you going to reward me for my win, Doctor?”

“Is there something you need?” Veritas asks.
“Am I interrupting?” Aventurine teases, stalking closer. Once within reach, he trails the tips of his fingers along the rim of the tub.
“Yes.” But Veritas folds the book closed and sets it on a side table that is already piled high with all the books he intends to read in the future, and gives his full attention to Aventurine.
“I’m hungry.”

“Am I not always transparent?” Aventurine laughs as he pushes away the hands on him. “Exacting as always, doctor. Fine then. You have full permission to fuck me. In fact, I’d be in your debt — how does that sound?”
Ratio and Aventurine are trapped in a box with only one way out.

Ratio wakes with a groan.
That is to be expected—it’s been awhile since he’s allowed himself the… indulgence of a rut. There’s a dull headache building at the base of his skull, memories from yesterday playing through his mind in brief flashes, the saccharine sweet scent of an omega in heat still clogs his nose. There’s a reason he dislikes his own secondary gender, ruts were ultimately uncouth, unbecoming, alphas were no better than beasts and he saw himself above such animalistic instincts.
He groans again, inhaling sharply when he tries to shift his body and feels the jolt of sharp pleasure. He finally deigns to open his eyes, and glancing down seems to be a mistake—Aventurine’s bright gaze meets his. The merchant’s lips stretched obscenely around his cock, pulling off with a wet slurp to smile at him. He closes his eyes, dizzy from the sight.
Aventurine decides he doesn't really need a scent-suppressor around the doctor. (Or does he?)
