Summary
An exploration of the chrysalis transformation of intimacy, the way it slips, always in a transitional state, backwards and forwards. Creatures caught in the depth perception play of deepening bonds, time, and space.
Or, Vulcans hide their thoughts from outworlders through stifling their touch telepathy with gloves. Kirk and Spock's relationship blossoms in the scenes caught in Spock's dressed or exposed hands.

Summary
Shoved to the ground, his robes coated in red dust, his hands practically bleeding with it (this is a metaphor—thankfully, his blood runs as green as his father’s), he tries to maintain a logical approach. “Vulcans do not resort to physical violence. We do not submit to biology in such ways.”
“What would you know about Vulcan biology?”
Everything. Spock is well above most of his classmates in the studies of the sciences, especially those specific to Vulcans. He did not understand why his mother looked as she did, why his father looked as he did, and why he, the result of the two of them, didn’t seem to match either of them enough. Curiosity has been his driving force since birth; when the crying was done, Amanda likes to tell him he raised an eyebrow at her in his first conscious act after birth. It is a silly story that no one believes, and Spock has asked her not to tell it outside of the house. Spock doesn’t know why he asked her to do that, just that he knows he is embarrassed by the story, by the clear editorializing of his life. Vulcans don’t lie.

Summary
Autumn, 1930, New York City. The Guardian of Forever has given Spock and Captain Kirk one chance. An enterprising and neighbourly woman, Edith Keeler, is able to offer them work when they arrive, but Jim realises her rate of payment won't be enough to get them the supplies they need in order to locate McCoy before their timeline is forever altered. With little honest and lucrative work available, Jim manages to make a series of connections which will allow him to be paid for sexually servicing men at a discerning hotel in the evenings. Of course, Spock and Edith can't know.
Much like "City on the Edge of Forever", this is a Jim Kirk character study featuring complicated feelings about life, death, and falling in love.

Summary
Bones, Spock, and Jim are three souls who are continually reborn, drawn to each other through time. In every lifetime, they live their lives until they meet one of the other two, at which point their past memories are returned and they can begin searching for their third.
This time around, in the twenty-third century, Spock and Jim are determined to make it work while they search for Bones. Bones, who is in the first lifetime where he has been able to transition without a problem.
It seems like a blessing at first: they have been given the gift of a diversity of experiences most lovers can only dream of. But every stolen lifetime comes at a price.
