Summary
“Baby?” Brooke calls as she comes in through the front door, wiping rainwater off her shoes and gingerly putting her drenched coat on the rack in the corner of the foyer. “Ness, you home?”
The woman behind Brooke snickers a little as Vanessa calls down that she’s coming, followed by fast, heavy footsteps running through the house. “Got her well-trained, huh?”
“You’ll see.” Brooke winks, but she doesn’t have time to say anything else—Vanessa’s footsteps have gotten louder and louder, closer and closer, and now they’ve stopped suddenly, signalling her arrival.
“Who’re you talking to?” Vanessa frowns deeply, and Brooke has to resist letting her heart speed up at the cautious, skeptical tone of Vanessa’s voice. It’s not like they hadn’t talked about this kind of thing before—they had at length, frequently fantasizing about what it would be like to have another woman act as a guest in one of their scenes. But that was fantasy—this is different. This is taking those hypotheticals and inviting them in, inviting them to become real.
Will Vanessa really be okay with this?
There’s only one way to find out, Brooke supposes.

Before she’d bought the first hotel, before she’d expanded it into a chain, before she’d even thought about getting into the hospitality industry at all, Vanessa had been a bartender. It was how she’d gotten her start, in a way; twenty years old but lying on her resume, mixing drinks and batting her lashes for the patrons of that first little inn, the budget place trying to be bigger than itself with a cash bar stocked pretty much exclusively with vodka, rum, and gin, plus whatever soda was in the lobby’s dispenser that day.
Or, Vanessa goes back to her bartender roots, and an intriguing guest just happens to catch her eye.

Summary
I have never been quite as artistically inspired by someone as I have by Anetra, so in order to work my way up to actually committing to writing one of the full-length real fics I want to write about her, I wanted to do a bunch of practice drabbles/one-shots to get my inspiration flowing. Not Beta'd or even really edited much since this is a writing practice exercise.

“I-I’m good, I’m about to propose to my girlfriend. I’m headed down to the cafe.”
Vanessa thinks for a minute. That’s kind of strange. She’s going to propose to her girlfriend….in the hospital….wearing a hospital robe? Vanessa isn’t one to judge so she just murmurs a soft congratulations and then when the elevator arrives, she says good luck.
“Thanks,” the blonde smiles shyly.
What a shame, Vanessa thinks, she’s very pretty.

Summary
It isn’t until Lana Del Rey starts to emanate from their bluetooth speakers, as the door of their bedroom slowly cracks open, that Vanessa’s mouth runs dry.
Brooke looks positively sinful, a red bralette crossing over her back with a matching thong digging into her sides above her hips, nipping in at her waist. Her locks are haphazardly tousled over her shoulder, already resembling sex hair before the two of them have even done anything. It makes Vanessa wonder what Brooke’s gotten up to, whether she’d let her hand travel between her thighs before Vanessa had gotten home from work. The black heels and thigh highs make Vanessa want to run her hands all over Brooke, to ruin her while still keeping the stockings in place, along with the collar-like necklace that drips with jewels around her neck.
“C’mere, baby.”
