Summary
Before the collapse, Izuku Midoriya trained to save lives. These days, he spends more time ending them. Quickly, cleanly, and as gently as he can manage.
Survival is routine, until a botched supply run brings him face-to-face with someone far more dangerous than the infected. Katsuki Bakugou is volatile, sharp-eyed, and armed to the teeth. He doesn’t trust easily. He definitely doesn’t trust Izuku.
Unfortunately, staying alive might mean working together anyway. Skeptical of one another, but equally impressed, Izuku and Katsuki forge a pact. Their groups will combine their manpower to flee the city. Permanently.
They all get what they need, but of course there's a catch: disturbing the dead tends to catch the attention of the living. And the living are just as hungry.
I was homesick for Buffalo NY and this was the result. Yes, you can follow their routes on maps. Enjoy.

“Oh my god.” He hunched forward and dragged a palm down his face, before it settled stiffly on his knee. “Just shut up, Deku, all right? Knowing I’m talking to you makes talking hero shit impossible.”
“Oh,” Izuku sighed, looking away. “I mean, all right. If it makes you more comfortable. Shutting up now.”

“You love Dynamight,” Kota said.
Izuku let out a long-suffering exhale. “I beg your pardon?”
“You forgot Hero Dynamight over your girlfriend,” Kota continued. “That means that he’s… he’s the love of your life.”
Kota’s cheeks reddened like he was embarrassed about what he had just said. Izuku stared at him. He didn’t know a Hero Dynamight. But there were a lot of heroes he didn’t know. The world was a big place, after all.
“You grew up together,” Kota barrelled on. “You tell us all the time how the two of you are friends. He guest lectures here sometimes. You… you don’t know who I’m talking about?”
Izuku swallowed hard as he looked at Kota’s face. If this were any other student, he wouldn’t believe it. But Kota wasn’t the type to joke or kid around, especially not with something of this magnitude.
Izuku accidentally gets hit with one of his students' quirks and temporarily forgets the love of his life - who is not, as it turns out, his current girlfriend.
