"Oh we're live!" Zoey's eyes flick up to the camera, her smile widening and both hands coming up to wave vigorously.
The chat explodes in greetings.
Rumi remains close to the camera, her brows furrowed together. "How do you know we're live?"
Zoey gestures at something off screen, "Because I hit that," and then she points over to something in the corner that makes Rumi visibly balk. "And because everyone is saying hi."
Rumi blinks slowly, "That's moving very fast."
Zoey lets out a laugh that is equal parts fond as it is amused. She reaches across Rumi for the mouse, faint clicking audible before she's addressing the chat. "Guys, baby's first stream! How do we feel?"
Or, Five times polytrix is almost outed on Rumi's stream and the slow descent into total freedom

Lara seemed to realize something was bothering her. She placed her book in the sleeve pocket in front of her. “What’s wrong?”
“You know, we haven’t talked,” Sam started, looking at Lara earnestly, deciding to just bite the bullet. “About you leaving me behind, and all that.” There was a tinge of bitterness at the edge of her tone, one she just couldn’t help.
Lara seemed surprised, but she seemed to know this conversation was coming, if the look in her eyes were any indication. “I wanted to protect you,” her friend finally said, fiddling with her fingers, though Lara didn’t seem convinced by her own words. “From Trinity.”
“I know,” Sam responded softly, and kindly. “But you didn’t have to leave. Not like that.”
