Katsuki waited for the courteous rebuke, for Izuku to thank the man, but decline his offer, to carefully extricate himself from the situation. Why was he taking so goddamn long about it, he should just reject the loser and move on.
“Sure, why not.” Izuku spun in his seat to glare at him. “Guess I might as well, right?” he said. “Not like anyone else is going to ask me to dance tonight.”

"You don't get to just disappear on me!" Katsuki snarled, face inches from Izuku's. "Almost two months, Deku! Two fucking months of radio silence! I thought something happened to you, I thought—"
"If something happens to my baby, I will fucking kill you!" The words exploded out of Izuku before he could stop them.
"Kacchan!" Izuku lunged forward, grabbing his shoulders. "Breathe! Kacchan, breathe!"
Katsuki gasped, sucking in air like a drowning man. Izuku ran to the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water, shoved it into Katsuki's shaking hands.
"Drink. Slowly. That's it."
Katsuki drank, eyes still wide and unfocused. When he finally lowered the glass, his voice came out hoarse: "You're what?"
OR: UA Teacher Izuku Midoriya got pregnant. That's it, that's the plot.

Which is why, after having a sexual relationship with his childhood friend/enemy/rival/ally/best friend for six months WITHOUT a label, he's pretty tired on whatever game the nerd's playing.
Except Izuku seems quite content with their dynamic, and he wants to tear his hair out.
Something has to change... and, thankfully, a missing sweatshirt and some hot chocolate does the trick.
