Video Transcript: Discussing the Latest Episode of My Hero Academia feat. Hitoshi Shinsou

[The background is a clean whiteboard with three markers and two erasers. Izuku, in one of those rolling office chairs, spins into frame from the right. Text appears superimposed on the whiteboard above him. In green comic-sans it says DEKU. Another chair appears from the left, and Shouto sits down and looks at Deku with a very unimpressed look. Above his head appears SHOUTO in an icy-blue times new roman font. Deku shoots the camera finger guns as he stops spinning.]

Deku: Welcome back to the channel guys. I'm Deku, and this is Shouto, as the writing above our heads probably reads. With Kaachan editing, you never really know. 

[At that moment the names above them change so that Dekus reads NERD and Shoutos reads HALF N HALF]

Deku: Anyway. As you might have gathered from the title, today we're welcoming you back to Conspiracy Corner to discuss the latest episode of My Hero Academia. I'll have to throw up a big spoiler alert, however, so if you haven't seen the newest episode, beware the spoilers. 

Shouto: But if you clicked on this video you probably don't care about spoilers or you've already seen the episode, so moving on. Today we have a special guest with us, who isn't normally part of the channel, but Izuku insisted we make an exception for him. 

Deku: Hey! Shinsou is our friend!

[A head of purple hair pops up between Deku and Shouto and gives the camera a dead eyed stare. Above his head in purple marker font appears MIND FREAK before quickly changing to SHINSOU.]

Deku: Everybody give a warm welcome to Shinsou, who plays Mind Blank in My Hero Academia.

[Deku claps while Shouto and Shinsou stare at him with equally blank faces.]

Shinsou: Who allowed this pure ball of literal sunshine to host this?

Shouto: Uraraka said he was "likeable".

[They both nod solemnly as Izuku pulls out one of his infamous notebooks from thin air.]

Deku: After the most recent episode, and that cliffhanger they left us on, I have so many conspiracies. Some more plausible than others, but they are all great!

Shinsou: No, no, no, no, no! Let's talk about the real conspiracy here. Where do you keep those notebooks? You always seem to have at least one with you. You pull them out at the most random times. Like just now! That notebook was nowhere to be seen until you pulled it out of nowhere! 

Shouto: I think he keeps them in his hair. Why else would it be so messy?

[There is laughter heard off screen.]

Uraraka (off screen): Tell us the truth, Deku! Where do you keep them? What's in your hair?

So we've all seen the screenshots. We all know there was no official reply. But I am here to supply you with PROOF that Deku is at least dating someone, if not Kaachan. 

[gif: Deku passed out on a bean bag, one of his notebooks clutched to his chest. Uraraka and Tsuyu are crouched over him with evil smiles and markers in their hands. Someone off screen says "Leave him alone or else" and they both run off laughing.]

[gif: Deku is still sleep on the same bean bag, but someone has covered him in an All Might themed blanket and his notebook is nowhere to be seen.] 

[gif: Deku smiling at something off camera. A butterfly lands on his nose. Uraraka snaps a photo and says "That's going right into the wedding slideshow." Deku blushes but denies nothing.]

[gif: Shouto is vehemently explaining one of his conspiracies while Izuku spins in his chair and sips what is presumably coffee from a mug. The video pauses and zooms in on the mug, which reads "Worlds Best Stupidest Boyfriend"]

[gif: The whole squad is seated on a grey couch for one of their monthly Q&A's. Tenya is sitting in the middle. Tsuyu is to his left with Uraraka perched on the arm beside Tsuyu. [Mina and Denki are holding up a camera. They appear to be in a dark closet surrounded by clothes. They are both covering their mouths to muffle their laughter.]

Mina (whispering): Hi guys welcome back to another vlog. You probably already know what's about to happen because of the title of this video, but this time it's special. Today we're trying to prank Bakugou with his boyfriends help. While he's not here in person, he's sent us all his plans. 

Denki (whispering): This time we have to succeed!

[Mina puts her hand over the camera and the screen goes black for a moment. When she removes her hand, Mina and Denki are standing outside. Mina hands the camera to Denki, who turns it around. Mina silently slides open a glass door to reveal Bakugou leaning against a counter with his phone pressed to his ear. He turns to stare at her as soon as the door opens. Mina slowly closes the door again.]

Denki: I don't think this is gonna work.

Mina: It's gonna work.

Video Transcript: What's In Dekus Notebooks 

[Shouto is standing blank faced in front of a white board. Deku is nowhere to be scene.]

Shouto (to someone off camera): How am I supposed to do this? Izuku always does the intros. 

[Someone off camera says something indistinguishable.]

Shouto: Okay. Welcome back to conspiracy corner. Izuku isn't here today because we're discussing him. Or, to be precise, his notebooks. If you're new here than you probably don't know what The Notebooks are. Roll the clip. 

[A minute long montage of every time Deku pulled out a notebook during a video. There's one where they are walking down the street and Deku clearly does not have a notebook. The camera angle changes and suddenly there's a notebook in his hands. The next scene is Deku waving his hands around excitedly, All Might written in all caps behind him. Tsuyu enters the frame and asks something which prompts Deku to flip open his notebook that wasn't there before and show her something. The final one is when Tenya is talking to Uraraka when Deku appears behind them, notebook in hand.]

Shouto: Half of this video will be discussing the possible contents of his mysterious notebooks. At the end we'll see if I can get my hands on one of them.

I, along with the rest of the DekuSquad, have been asked to participate in a Youtuber Battle Royale during Vidcon. So far the other guests include, but are not limited to, Nejire-Chan, HatsumeForge, ChaosCrew, and Lemillion. Each day will host two different challenges, and the team with the most points at the end of vidcon wins. 

The schedule is as follows:
Day One: A Scavenger hunt in the morning and a game of capture the flag in the afternoon. 
Day Two: A puzzle game in the morning and a gaming tournament in the afternoon.
Day Three: Laser tag in the morning, and the final even is being kept a secret.

Video Transcript - Vidcon Introduction Recording - DekuSquad

[The camera is pointed at a large group of young adults split into smaller groups. Each group has another person standing behind them also carrying a camera. Directly in front of the camera stands the five recognizable figures of the DekuSquad. In front of them, at the center of the group stands someone in a suit.]

Announcer: So here's what's going to happen. This will be the meeting spot. You'll be expected to show up here thirty minutes before each activity and meet back here when the activities end. Each team will have a cameraperson to follow them around, live streaming on the official vidcon youtube channel, and after the convention we'll edit all of the film together for you all to post on your own channels. Now, the rules. 

[The announcer hands at least one person from each group a piece of paper.]

Announcer: Over everything else, safety is our priority. If anything happens, you'll hear me over the sound system announcing that the challenge has ended abruptly and you should follow any emergency protocol needed. 

Tenya: That is very admirable. Safety should always be top priority. 

[The rest of the DekuSquad giggles as Tenya chops the air.]

Announcer: Right... Anyways, the first challenge begins at nine thirty. It's your responsibility to read the rules before then and meet back here at nine. Until then, you're free to do what you want and enjoy the convention. 

[The group cheers and scatters. The DekuSquad all stop in front of the camera. Some speak in hushed voices to the camera man but Uraraka looks right into the camera.]

Uraraka: See you at nine!

Video Transcript: Chaos Crew Live Stream

[The video opens with Mina, Denki and Sero waving at the camera. In the background Bakugou can be seen scowling as crowds begin the enter the convention center. Kirishima is presumably behind the camera.]

Bakugou (in the background): This is so stupid. Why did you idiots drag me down here?

Mina: Welcome back to the vlog guys! Today we're live streaming our exploration of vidcon so those of you who couldn't attend still get to see it! We're all here, even Baku! Eijirou lost the game of scissors-paper-rock earlier so he has to be the camera man for the day. 

[The camera pans around the filling convention center to show the other youtubers, all pulling out their own cameras.]

Eijirou (off camera): Look! Theres Ochako and Tsuyu! We should go say hi! 

Mina: Yes! Baku Crew gooooooo!

[The camera moves up and down as the ChaosCrew rapidly approaches the DekuSquad. As they get closer, Ochako notices them and turns around. Her and Mina run to meet each other, talking faster than the microphone can pick up. Deku dissapears from the cameras view and Kirishima greets Shouto and Tenya. Tsuyu and Sero shake hands before laughing and hugging.] 

Mina: Since we're all here and the first challenge doesn't start for...

[Mina looks at her empty wrist before obviously remembering she doesn't wear a watch. She laughs nervously.]

Deku and Bakugou (off camera): Three hours.

Mina: Right, three hours. Since the first challenge doesn't start for three hours, why don't we walk around the convention together. We hardly get to hang out! This is the perfect opportunity!

Ochako: That is such a good idea, right guys?

[Ochako turns to look at Shouto and Tenya who are nearby. Both avoid eye contact.]

Ochako: Right, guys.

[This time Shouto and Tenya nod quickly and Ochako seems appeased. A few minutes later and the large group of youtubers have made their way to some of the booths.]

Denki: Ohmigosh you guys look it's the My Hero Academia booth. There's the actors! 

Shouto: Look, Izuku, there's Shinsou.

Deku (off camera): Shinsou!

[Izuku runs into the camera frame quickly, smiling widely. He bounds up to the booth, the rest of the group following close behind. Shinsou greets him with a small smile. The other actors shake his hand. By the time the rest of them have caught up, Izuku has his phone out and it taking selfies with the actors and actresses.]

Sero: Wow you're the guy who plays Mind Blank, right? I remember you from Deku and Shoutos video. 

Shinsou: Yep.

Denki: Wait, how do you know Deku and Shouto? 

Shinsou (with a heavy sigh): Izuku and I went to college together. We shared a couple professors and ended up together for a project. Izuku insisted he ask some of his friends for help. Eventually I met them all and became an "honorary member of the Deku Squad" if my memory serves me correctly.

Bakugou (off camera): Sounds like some shit Deku would pull.

Ochako: He's part of the family now. 

Deku (in the background): I don't know what he's saying but Shinsou is lying!

[There is laughter form everyone, including the actors. Deku turns back to his conversation with Yagi Toshinori and Eijirou, still holding the camera, approaches as their conversation comes to an end. Yagi is handing Deku what looks like a signed poster.]

Yagi: There you go, my boy.

Deku: Thanks dad.

Yagi: Of course, my boy. Oh, and by the way, your mother asked me tot ell you to call her more often. She worries, you know?

Deku: Yeah. I'll call her later, okay?

[The camera pans to Ochako, who is making a cut motion across her neck. The video shuts off abruptly.]

in the last two hours i have gotten over a thousand people asking me to explain "the notebook conspiracy" because of some stupid live stream where Deku allegedly called Yagi Toshinori, aka All Might, dad, which somehow revived the whole "deku write My Hero Academia and that what's in the notebooks" theory. I haven't been able to find anything that confirms this actually happened, but here's the basics of the notebook conspiracy. 

- Deku has these notebooks. There were seventeen at the last official count, but there's likely a few more by now. Nobody, not even the rest of the Deku Squad, knows where Deku keeps these notebooks, and he is infamous for pulling them out of nowhere during videos. A lot of people say they edit them to look like he's pulling them out of thin air, but he does it on live stream too, so that theory doesn't hold water. 

- Almost no one is knows what's in the notebooks either. From what Deku has shown on camera, there are some very complex notes and calculations, though nobody is sure what they're for. 

- In a video posted a couple years ago, Shouto theorized for half an hour on what could be in Dekus notebooks, even going so far as to ask the man himself. Deku denied everything of course, even having a notebook, much to Shoutos' chagrin. Eventually Shouto got the rest of the Deku Squad together and they all decided what ever is in the notebooks must be super personal or a government secret. 

- Kaachan knows what's in the notebooks, so he's in on it. Whatever it is. 

- Deku is a huge fan of the show My Hero Academia. If you haven't seen their whole playlist of My Hero Academia based videos, from Conspiracy Corner to Cosplay, than you are really missing out. But in every My Hero Academia related video, a notebook appears. 

Some Deku Squad fans have come up with theories of their own regarding the contents of the notebooks. Some are more plausible than others. One that really started gaining traction in the last few months was the theory that Deku was the writer for My Hero Academia and the notebooks are filled with the script. At first, nobody paid this idea much attention. It wasn't particularly interesting, nor was it likely, so it was ignored in favour of some of the more.... out there theories. 

Then Deku started hosting more of the actors from My Hero Academia as guests on the channel, and suddenly the theory didn't seem so impossible. The whole "deku calling All Might dad" seems to have pulled this theory from the grave.

Video Transcript - Day One Morning Challenge - DekuSquad

[Once again the teams are gathered into one large group at the center of the convention center. The area has been roped off from the public, but there are still large crowds of people around the ropes watching. Directly in front of the camera stands the DekuSquad with the exception of Tenya who is currently attending a panel.]

Announcer: Welcome one and all to the very first youtube battle royale. We have here seven teams who will participate in each challenge. Depending on their completion of the challenge, each team will receive a certain amount of points. At the end of the convention, whichever team has the most points will be crowned the champion until next year. Now, let's move on to the competitors. Comprising team one we have Nejire Hadou from her channel Nejire-chan!

[Nejire smiles brightly and jumps up and down. Around them the crowds cheer, some holding up signs.]

Announcer: Next we have team two, made up of Mei Hatsume from HatsumeForge.

[Hatsume grins wildly and taps on the strange device strapped to her head. She leaps forward, trying to swipe the announcers microphone, but he seems to have expected this and he moves back easily dodging her. Hatsume returns to her spot in front of her camera woman as the crowds cheer for her as well.]

Announcer: Next we have Tomura Shigaraki from his channel Deadly Pranks. 

[Tomura grins, but for once most of the crowds are silent. His grin quickly turns to a harsh scowl and someone in the back of the crowd boos.]

Announcer (coughing to hide his laugh): Moving on, we have the Deku Squad, though I've been told Tenya is attending a panel right now so he wan't be participating in this particular challenge. We do still have Uraraka Ochako! Tsuyu Asui! Shouto Todoroki! And last but not least, Deku himself!

[The crowds cheer for each of them.]

Announcer: Next up is, and I'm sure I don't even have to introduce them at this point but what else am I getting paid for, Togata Mirio, aka Lemillion!

[More cheers, more signs, and more smiles.]

Announcer: Everybody give a warm welcome to Amajiki Tamaki who you might also know as SunEater!

[Tamaki blushes and hides his face in his hands. Mirio throws his arm around his shoulder and laughs loudly. The crowds cheering only grows louder.]

Announcer: And last but definitely not least, we have the entire Chaos Crew! Mina Ashido, Hanta Sero, Kirishima Eijirou, Denki Kaminari, and they even managed to drag Katsuki Bakugou along. Now if you can all quiet down once more, we can move on to an explanation of the challenge. I'm sure you all have already looked at the schedule and seen that this mornings activity is a scavenger hunt, but it's a bit more complicated that that. 

[The screens around the convention hall flicker on to display a set of rules numbered one to four.]

Announcer: The rules are as such, no sabotaging other teams is rule number one. Each team will get a different list of items they need to collect from around the convention hall, and no list has the same item. Rule two is all items have to be obtained legally and fairly. No stealing, "borrowing", or otherwise illegal methods. Rule three: no leaving the convention hall. You can enter the vip section, the creator area, and any panels, but leaving the actual building is an automatic out. Finally, the fourth rule is no outside help. Each team can work together or with other teams if you so wish, mind the first rule however, but help from anyone not participating is forbidden. 

[Deku raises his hand, a notebook in his other hand and a pencil tucked behind his ear. Nobody is sure where they came from.]

Deku: Since Tenya is part of our team, but not here presently since he has a panel to attend, can we still get help from him?

Announcer: Yes, that's fair game. He can also choose to help other teams if he'd like, since he is still part of your team. Are there any other questions before we begin?

[Silence.]

Announcer: Alright then. If I could have one person from each team line up, you will be randomly picking your list from the seven in this box. Step right up.

[The video opens with Tsuyu staring straight into the camera. Without so much as a single word, she holds up a printed piece of paper that reads in bold font "Chocolate Cake Recipe". The screen goes black, only to play the DekuSquad intro. Various clips of videos, old and new, flash across the screen. In very curly, elegant font words like "chaos" and "dissent" float across the screen. A clip of Deku yelling "Kaachan!" plays and the words are replaced with "friendship" and "other sappy stuff" instead. The screen fades back to black before the camera focuses on what appears to be a kitchen. Uraraka, Shouto, and Deku stand in the center.]

Tsuyu (off camera): So they have no idea what's going on just yet.

Deku: Nope!

Tsuyu (off camera): But I had to kick Tenya out because he would actually be good at this and that would ruin the whole point of this video.

Shouto: Which is?

Tsuyu (off camera): You three are going to bake a cake!

[Shouto turns and walks away, completely blank faced. No one seems surprised. Tsuyu continues o without missing a beat. Uraraka grins at something off camera.]

Tsuyu (off camera): You two are going to bake a cake.

Uraraka: Thank goodness it's only us, Deku. I bet Kaachan couldn't bake a decent cake if he tried. 

Kaachan (off camera): BLEEP you round face! I'm gonna make the best BLEEP cake you've ever BLEEP seen! And you won't get a single BLEEP bite of it. 

Deku: What about me, Kaachan?

Uraraka (laughing): Yeah, Kaachan. What about Deku? After this you won't see each other again till Vidcon. 

Kaachan (off camera): BLEEP you BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP chipmunk cheeks! I can see the BLEEP nerd whenever I BLEEP want to.

Video Transcript - Day One Morning Challenge - ChaosCrew

[The camera moves up and down just slightly enough to give the impression that the cameraperson is running. In front of them, the Mina is holding a piece of paper and pointing at objects as Eijirou, Denki, and Sero run around her grabbing whatever she points to. Lagging slightly behind them, Bakugou rolls his eyes at everything.]

Mina: Okay guys this is out second the last item. We just need a plaster and a permanent marker. 

Denki: Where are we going to find a plaster in this place?

Sero: I'm sure they have a first aid station somewhere around here...

[Eijirou suddenly stops and grins.]

Eijirou: Wait guys... the Deku Squad is here. 

Mina: Yeah... so?

Eijirou: And who in the Deku Squad would not be caught dead in a place like without a first aid kit, especially since they're accompanying Deku who everyone knows is prone to injuring himself?

[Mina makes a silent "oh" with her mouth and grins too. Denki and Sero still appear confused.]

Eijirou: And who did Deku ask the announcer about? Who isn't participating in this specific challenge but is still here, at the convention? Who is currently doing a panel on videography safety?

[Denki and Sero just stare at him. Eijirou and Mina sigh.]

Eijirou: It's Iida.

[Denki and Sero both make a face as if the secrets of the universe have been revealed to them. Soon all four of them take off running towards a set of nearby double doors. Bakugou mutter under his breath but jogs to catch up. The group throws open the doors and runs up to the stage.]

Mina (out of breath): Tenya! Dude! Do you have a first aid kit?

Tenya: Umm, yes. Why? Is someone hurt? Did Izuku run into another window?

Eijirou: No, we just need a plaster!

[Tenya reaches into his backpack which is on the ground next to him. He pulls out a first aid kit that seems far to big to fit into a backpack, but nobody questions it. Tenya gets up and walks over to the edge of the stage and holds the kit out to them with a serious look.]

Tenya: I'll need that back before the end of the convention, however. 

[Mina nods and Denki offers a salute. As the group runs out, Tenya returns to his spot at the table.]

Mina: Now all we need is a permanent marker!

[The group looks around desperately, catching sight of Bakugou who is leaning against a nearby wall. He hold out his hand, and as the camera draws closer, you can se he's holding a permanent marker. Mina jumps up and down while Eijirou cheers.]

Eijirou: Way to go bakubro!

Bakugou: How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?!

Eijirou: Awwww come one! You let your boyfriend call you Kaa-

[Bakugou slams his hand over Eijirous mouth and he stares pointedly at the camera. Mina giggles off camera as Bakugou slowly removes his hand.]

Eijirou: Sorry! My bad, dude!

[They're back at the center of the convention hall in the roped off area. Mirio is standing in front of the camera, chatting happily with Nejire and Amajiki. The announcer claps a couple times and the chatter fades away.]

Announcer: Welcome back everyone, I trust you have a good lunch, because this next challenge will be rather physically challenging. Welcome, folks, to capture the flag. 

[The screens around the convention hall flicker on to display seven flags of differing colours.]

Announcer: Each team has exactly ten flags of their team colour hidden around the convention center. The harder they are to find, the more points they are worth. There is also one giant white flag hidden somewhere secret worth as many points as all ten team flags. You have the next half hour to find all your flags. At the end of that time the team with the most points wins. 

[The screens change again, now displaying the same four rules as last time.]

Announcer: The rules haven't changed. No sabotage, don't do anything illegal, don't leave the convention hall, and no outside help. You may work together with other teams, but keep the first rule in mind if you choose to do so. 

[Mirio laughs loudly, drawing the attention of the crowds and the other competitors. The camera pans over to where the Deku Squad is standing, Izuku holding a notebook and looking up with wide eyes somewhat reminiscent of a deer in headlights.]

Mirio: He really does the notebook thing? I thought that was just clever editing! 

Shouto: No he does that at least thrice a day. 

Uraraka: It drives us insane. 

Tsuyu: They disappear as quickly as they appear too. It's a mystery. 

Tenya: We also know about the conspiracies. 

[The announcer claps again drawing attention back to him.]

Announcer: Anyways, I'm not sure how anyone will focus after that fascinating revelation, really, but it's time to pick your team colours. Once again, can one person from each team line up?

um is anyone else as caught up in the Deku/My Hero Academia conspiracy as I am? Because the more I look at it, the more plausible it seems. Especially if you look at Dekus old tweets, back before he got some of the actors and actresses on the channel. His friends responses to the tweets really seal the deal. 

"I can't wait to see how All Might deals with the supposed death of his son in the upcoming season!" Deku tweeted this three years ago, before it was revealed that All Mights son Dekiru hadn't actually died. How did Deku know???? What else does Deku know that we don't????

I've been rewatching every video posted to the DekuSquad channel that mention MHA and GUYS!!!! There was so much proof we didn't see just because we didn't know what it was proof of!!!!! Just look:

[The camera turns on to reveal Ochako, Tenya, and Deku seated in a semi-circle in front of the camera. Ochako has a blank face, Tenya looks confused, and Deku is clearly trying to hold back laughter. Ochako moves her hand as if she's stroking a cat but there is nothing in her lap.]

Ochako: We've been waiting for you. 

[Someone laughs off camera.]

Ochako: Or should I say...... we've been waiting TO DEFEAT YOU!

[Deku bursts, doubling over in laughter as Ochako grins.]

Ochako: Todays challenges may be difficult for some, but not us. Why? Because we have a secret weapon of course. 

[Ochako throws her hands out to present Deku who's still laughing.]

Deku: Whaaaa? Me? I'm the secret weapon?

Ochako: There is no one better at puzzles and games than our very own Midoriya Izuku. Also I've promised him that if he wins one of these challenges for us, I'll buy him that limited edition All Might hoodie he's been eyes for the last two months. 

Deku (mumbling): It's only been one month. 

Tenya: Sadly Shouto and Tsuyu won't be able to join us, since they are caught up in their own endeavors. 

[The camera pans to Shouto and Tsuyu off to the side, seated at a picnic table with Mina and Denki. There appears to be a game of Monopoly on the table and all four are concentrating on the game.]

Ochako: Yeah... they're gonna be there for a while. But no matter! We will still defeat you! Or no hoodie for Deku!

Deku: Hey! 

Tenya: We must also prepare for the possibility that we do not win, however. 

Deku: Exactly. Kaachan can be very determined if you tell him he can't do something. I'm pretty sure he would win if he really wanted to. At this point, I'm almost certain he only runs on spite. 

Ochako: Spite and love maybe.

[Amajiki is standing next to Mirio and Nejire with his hands covering his face. In the background are seven tables with something on them, though it's covered in a cloth.]

Amajiki (whispering): Why does the camera have to be pointed at me? Why can't people just watch someone else?

[Mirio laughs as the announcers steps into frame. The rest of the contestants quiet down, and a small crowd of convention goers begins to gather around the tables.]

Announcer: Welcome back everyone. We're nearly halfway through the challenges, can you believe it? Anyway, if you're smart you'll already know that this mornings challenge is a puzzle! At each table here there is the same puzzle. When I give the go ahead, one person from each team will remove the cloth and begin working on the puzzle. For teams with more than one person, you may choose to swap the puzzle solver, but you may only ever have one person working on the puzzle at once. 

[Someone in the crowd boos and Amajiki, who is only half in view of the camera, turns so he's facing a wall. Nejire pats him on the back solemnly.]

Announcer: Now I'm sure by now you know the rules, but we'll put them up once more as a reminder. 

[As the screens around the convention center switch to the familiar list of rules, Deku and Ochako grab Tenya so that they form a triangle holding hands. Deku and Ochako begin chanting "Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules." With a sigh, Tenya eventually gives in and joins them. Most people stare in confusion or horror.]

Shouto (off camera): Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Why are we doing this again? Rules. Rules. 

Tsuyu (off camera): Rules. Rules. Rules. Don't question it. It was Ochako-chans idea. Rules. Rules. 

Amajiki: I'm scared.

[The announcer laughs nervously.]

Announcer: Right, uhhh, but the rules are the same. No sabotage, in fact, no messing with another teams puzzle at all this round. Please don't try to do anything illegal. There's no leaving the convention hall, as usual. And for this challenge I'll emphasize the fourth rule, no outside help. In this particular challenge that also includes any other teammates. Alright teams, you have five minutes to devise a plan and choose who'll attempt the puzzle.

So for all of you out there who aren't in the loop vidcon is live streaming the #youtubebattleroyale which leads to some highly amusing content but that's not all it also leads to some accidental reveals. Like how Deku from the Deku Squad said something veeeeeeery interesting about Kaachan, the infamous unofficial member of the Deku Squad. 

[gif: Deku talking to Ochako. His words are subtitled in bold white font. "Kaachan can be very determined if you tell him he can't do something. I'm pretty sure he would win if he really wanted to. At this point, I'm almost certain he only runs on spite."]

Ummmmmmm Deku???????? Do you mean to say not only is Kaachan at vidcon this year????? But he's competing in the youtube battle royale????? This might be the biggest hint to Kaachans identity we've ever gotten, and I am here to break this down until I'm about to cry and maybe until we have his true identity.

So the competitors in the battle, minus the Deku Squad, are Tomura Shigaraki, Mei Hatsume, Mirio Togata, Nejire Hadou, Tamaki Amajiki, Kirishima Eijirou, Ashido Mina, Kaminari Denki, Sero Hanta, and unofficially Bakugou Katsuki. 

We all know Kaachan is a guy, so we can knock out Ashido Mina, Mei Hatsume and Nejire Hadou. 

We also know that while it's not common knowledge, Mirio Togata and Tamaki Amajiki are a Thing™ so we can kick them out too

Tomura Shigaraki openly hates the Deku Squad, especially Deku. (why they even allowed him to come to vidcon is a mystery, especially with all the harmful pranks he pulls)

All that leaves is Kirishima Eijirou, Kaminari Denki, Sero Hanta, and Bakugou Katsuki.

Ochako (off camera): Go Deku! You can do it!

Bakugou: Yeah whatever do your best or something...

Eijirou: Bakubro! I thought we were buds! Pals! Friends! Then you betray me like this! What happened to pals before gals? Fries before guys? Chicks before-

[Bakugou comes from behind and slams his hand over Eijirous mouth.]

Bakugou: Shut- Did you just bite me?!

Eijirou: Dude you have got to stop doing that!

Bakugou: You have five seconds. You better start running!

[Eijirous eyes widen and he turns and books it in the other direction. Bakugou counts down from five out loud before he takes off after him. Sero stares after them before sighing and with a resigned look he steps up to the table and pick up where Eijirou left off.]

Deku: I did it! I finished!

[The camera pans over to Deku, whos standing over a now completed puzzle. Ochako and Tenya cheer as the announcer joins Deku and examines the puzzle for a moment.]

Announcer: Congratulations Deku! You've just won the first event of the day for your team!

[The camera turns on to find the whole of the Deku Squad standing behind a curtain. Ochako is comforting an obviously nervous Izuku while Tenya is running around asking if everyone is ready. Shouto is standing with a blank face, as usual, and Tsuyu is staring at a Monopoly board set on a table in front of a red couch.]

Tenya: All right, sixty seconds to opening. 

Ochako: Come on Deku! It won't be that bad! These are our fans! They are going to love you!

Deku: But Ocha you didn't see some of the questions they were asking! How can I look them in the eyes after reading some of those tweets. I'll never be able to face them again, not to mention Eijirou. 

Tenya: Izuku! Get yourself together! We're going on in five...

Shouto: This is going to crash and burn. 

Tenya: Four...

Tsuyu: You don't know that for certain, Shouto-chan.

Tenya: Three...

Ochako: Come on Deku! You can do it! 

Tenya: Two...

Deku: I'm going I'm going!

[Tenya stares in horror as Deku plunges through the curtain. Beyond the curtain the screams of the crowd can be heard, and Ochako dart in after Deku.]

Tenya: Wait! Guys!

[Shouto shrugs and follows them with Tsuyu following close behind. Tenya sighs and pushes the curtain aside to join the rest of his friends. The camera follows them to show Deku and Ochako waving to the crowd as Shouto takes his seat at a nearby table with five microphones. Tsuyu grabs Ochakos hand, who takes Dekus hand, and the three of them take their seats. The camera settles down in front of the stage as Tenya takes his seat.]

Ochako: Welcome to our panel guys! We can't thank you enough for joining us today!

Tenya: Allow us to briefly introduce ourselves before we begin. I am Tenya Iida. 

Ochako (stage whispering): He's the mom friend.

Tenya: I am not! I am simply more responsible than the rest of you. I often assist with the editing of the videos and the upkeep of our channel. For the most part, I keep the rest of them alive. 

Ochako: Just admit it! You're totally the mom friend!

Tsuyu: If Tenya-chan is the mom friend, what does that make me?

Ochako: The dad friend of course!

[Ochako nods sagely as Tsuyu sighs heavily.]

Shouto: I'm Shouto, you probably know me from Conspiracy Corner. I don't do much other than that. Sorry. 

Ochako: Oh! Me next! Me next! I'm Ochako Uraraka and I am the heart and soul of the Deku Squad. I started the channel about ten years ago and help with each and every video, even if it's only in a small manner. Mostly, I make the others do funny stuffy for the camera! I'm also in charge of interactions with our fans! In fact, I arranged this panel!

[The audience laughs and Ochako smiles brightly.]

Ochako: Now we can't forget the very namesake of the Deku Squad, Deku himself!

Deku: Ha, thanks Ochako. As you heard my name is Deku. Actually that's just a nickname, a moniker if you will. My name is Izuku Midoriya and I do a lot. You might have seen me and Ochako do some prank videos, Tsuyu and I do a lot of hiking vlogs, and Shouto and I host Conspiracy Corner together. Really, I do a little bit of everything, on camera at least. Off camera I'm basically useless.

[Deku rubs the back of his neck, blushing wildly, while Ochako covers her mouth, obviously trying to hide a laugh.]

Deku: A-anyway. Let's get on to why we're are here in the first place! The question and answer you guys have been asking for. It's been what? Four years since our last?

Tenya: Indeed! I have a list of appropriate questions queued up so if you would please defer to my list.

Ochako: Tenya! Don't be so uptight! What is the point of this if we don't adds some excitement! We'll pick questions randomly from the hashtag as well as accepting some from our lovely live audience!

[The camera pans away from the Deku Squad for a moment to showcase the cheering crowds filling the auditorium. The camera quickly pans back to the Deku Squad to show Ochako and Deku waving rapidly.]

Tsuyu: Speaking of which, I noticed a very interesting question on twitter just before coming out here, Would any of you mind if I chose the first question?

Deku: Not at all! Take it away Tsu!

Tsuyu: Thank you Izuku-chan. This question comes from @blluescluesstolemyleftsock. They asked if we would consider doing a game night. Specifically, the mentioned the games uno, monopoly, and mario kart. 

Ochako: Sorry guys but we value our friendship and don't look for ways to destroy it. Kaachan on the other hand...

Deku: Kaachan and I hang out every Friday night to play games. Usually super smash bros, but sometimes we venture into board game territory. Do you guys remember when I told I lost our copy of Uno on the plane coming home from Pax? That was a lie. Kaachan threw it off the hotel balcony when he lost to me. 

Tenya: Okay! Next question!

Shouto: I have an interesting one, if I may. 

Tenya: Go ahead, Shouto. 

Shouto: @forwardyouremails asks if I am Endeavors secret love child. 

[Shouto looks the camera dead in the eye and sighs. Deku breaks down in laughter beside him.]

Deku: Oh how the turns have tabled. 

Shouto: I suppose this was bound to come up eventually no matter how hard I try to forget about it. No I am not "Endeavors" secret love child, but Enji Todoroki, the man who plays Endeavor, is my father. 

[The audience screams and Shouto stares into the distance.]

Ochako: Well there you go! One secret revealed! How many more can you pry out of my friends slash colleagues? 

Deku: Too many. The answer is too many. 

Tenya: It is my turn now! Twitter user @fruit-y says "I've been watching since the Anime Analysis series and I want to know if Deku would consider doing something like that again. Maybe an analysis of some popular movies or books?" So Izuku, what do you say? Would you consider doing another analysis series?

Deku: Yeah I don't know... It takes a long time to watch or read whatever and then it takes more time to analyze it. I'll have to think about it, but it's not off the table. 

Ochako: Next! Next! It's my turn to pick a question! Everybody SHUT UP!

[The crowd silences. Deku and Tsuyu stare at Ochako with wide eyes as she pulls her phone out and flicks her finger over it.]

Ochako: This question comes from our good friend Hitoshi or @SilencePeasants. 

Deku: No! Ocha how could you betray me like this? You too Hitoshi!

Ochako: Shush Deku! The grownups are talking now! @SilencePeasants asks if Deku is finally gonna tell us where his notebooks come from? 

[The camera zooms in on Deku, whose clearly empty hands are covering his face. The camera pans to Ochako sitting next to him smiling evilly before turning back to Deku. His previously empty hands are now holding a notebook. He stares at the notebook with confusion. The camera zooms back out.]

Ochako: You guys saw that right? Right? 

Deku: Wait guys...

Shouto: Yes we saw that. Tell us the truth Izuku. Where do they come from? Tell us!

Deku: But this isn't mine...

Tenya: I too am rather curious, Izuku. Please do tell us. 

[The auditorium doors slam open as Deku opens his mouth to reply. The camera spins around quickly to show Bakugou from the Chaos Crew standing in the doorway. Bakugou is holding a notebook near identical to the one in Dekus hands. The crowds around them begin to whisper.]

Bakugou: Deku, you dumb BLEEP, you took the wrong BLEEP notebook. 

Deku: Kaachan! My notebook!

[The crowds start to shout as Deku stands from his seat and jumps off the stage. He and Bakugou meet in the middle and exchange notebooks. Deku jumps up and hugs Bakugou.]

Bakugou: Let me go, Deku, I have to get back to the nerd herd.

Deku: Thanks Kaachan!

[Deku lets Bakugou go and turns around. He starts to walk back before pausing, spinning around again, and kissing Bakugou on the cheek. He runs back up to the stage to rejoin his friends.]

Bakugou: I'm gonna get you for that nerd!

[Deku laughs and Bakugou leaves.]

Ochako: Well, there's one question answered for you guys. Though it quite a dramatic reveal if I do say so myself. But we never did get the answer to the question that matters! Deku! Where do the notebooks come from?

[Everyone stares at Deku as he sighs and tucks his notebook into a yellow backpack that previously went unnoticed at his feet.]

Deku: Fine. You want the truth?

[Deku looks Ochako right in the eye with a completely straight face as he speaks. 

Deku: The void. I pull my notebooks from the void.

[There is silence. Then chaos. Hitoshi jumps out of the crowd and yells 'I knew it!' Shouto screams. Tsuyu silently stands and walks back behind the curtain. Ochako throws her pencil at Deku. The panel dissolves into chaos.]

Deku: Anyway guys thanks for coming, but it looks like we're gonna have to end it earlier than expected.

Video Transcript - Day Two Afternoon Challenge - Deadly Pranks

[The camera flickers to life only for Shigaraki to immediately scowl at it. The camera quickly pans away to focus on the Announcer in the back ground.]

Announcer: Welcome back everybody. I'm sure you're just itching to get to the challenge, but first we have to go over the rules one more time. They haven't changed, don't worry! 

[The Deku Squad grabs each others hands and they begin chanting "Rules. Rules. Rules." again.]

Announcer: No! No! Not again! We are not doing this again! Someone shut off their mics! The rules are as follows; no sabotage, no illegal methods, no leaving the convention center, and last but not least, no outside assistance. There, the rules are done, there are no more, stop chanting! Stop!

[The Deku Squad separates with disappointed looks.]

Announcer: Thank you. Onto the challenge. This afternoon we'll be forcing-  uh I mean inviting you to participate in a gaming tournament! Each team will choose one member to participate in the challenge, but unlike last time there is no switching out, so choose wisely. Once each team has chosen a participant, you'll sit down at your designated computers. The winner will be decided in a round-robin style tournament, with the game played changing with each round. You have five minutes to plan a strategy. Go!

[Each team takes a step away. The DekuSquad and ChaosCrew huddle up to talk, but all the other single person teams do their own thing. Tamaki pulls out a DS. Nejire starts talking to the fans waiting beyond the velvet rope enclosing the area. Hatsume drops to the ground and falls asleep(?) while Tomura just scowls.]

Tomura: As if any of these NPC's could beat me at a gaming tournament. 

[Mirio, who was standing nearby with his own camera man turned towards Tomura. Where Tomura was evil incarnate, Mirio was the exact opposite.]

Mirio: Don't be like that, dude! This is all just a friendly competition, after all! We can all still be friends even is we win or lose!

[Tomuras scowl deepens and he turns away.]

Announcer: Alright! That's time! Everybody send in your recruits and let the tournament begin! 

[The DekuSquad pushed Ochako forward.]

Ochako: I'm going to defeat you all!

Announcer: Such passion! But do you think you can tone it down a little bit? I think you're scaring the kids...

Ochako: Huh? Oh yeah sure. I'm still gonna win no matter what!

Announcer: Okay then...

[The Chaos Crew shoves Denki towards the tables and he stumbles forward. Hatsume startles awake from her spot on the ground as Nejire, Tamaki, and Mirio make their way to their own computers.]

Hatsume: Are the computers top quality? Have they been given any upgrades? What's the frame rate on these? What's the screen resolution? I could do that right now if you want me to. It'll only take a few minutes then boom! High quality, souped-up computer fit for any gamer. I have my tools and everything. 

Announcer: No thank you, Hatsume. I think our computers will work just fine as they are. 

[Hatsume shrugs and takes her seat. Tomura is the only one left standing as he glares at the announcer before making his way to the only empty computer left.] 

Announcer: Let the tournament begin!

[The camera turns on to reveal Tsuyu and Ochako making funny faces at the camera. The announcer can be seen in the background trying to get everybody's attention and failing miserably.]

Tenya: Has anyone seen Izuku? He isn't answering his phone! This is a great cause for worry! He won't be able to participate in this mornings challenge is he does not arrive soon. 

Ochako: Chill, Tenya. Deku had an awful hangover and he's sleeping it off at the hotel. 

Tsuyu: I believe his boyfriend is staying with him to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. 

Tenya: That does not reassure me!

Announcer: EVERYBODY SHUT UP I HAVE THE TALKING STICK NOW.

[Everybody goes silent.]

Announcer: Thank you. Now, as I was trying to say before, this morning's challenge will be a little different. Previously, the challenges have always started and ended in this area, except for today. Today we are locking you all in a dark room full of obstacles while you try to hit each other with lasers! Sound familiar? That's cause it's laser tag!

[Still silence.]

Announcer: Act excited or I'll kick you out.

[Slowly, one by one, the teams start clapping and cheering with nervous smiles.]

Announcer: That's more like it! Now, we have to go over the rules...

[The announcer eyes the Deku Squad as if waiting for them to do something. Ochako stares at her with wide innocent eyes. The camera almost misses her smug smirk.]

Announcer: No sabotaging other teams. No stealing or otherwise messing with their equipment. No leaving the laser tag arena, unless explicitly told otherwise. And absolutely no outside help! Get it? Got it? Good. Lets suit you guys up and throw you into the dark abyss of laser tag. May the odds be ever in your favour.

Izuku could feel the sting of fluorescent lights against his eyelids before he ever fully registered being awake. The room was quiet but for the soft hum of an air conditioner and the gentle sound of pages turning. Izuku pried his eyes open, nearly rolling off the bed as he tried to get up. 

"Deku, you fucking lightweight. What did I tell you about drinking so much?" 

Despite the nasty headache building and the fact that he narrowly avoided what would have been a painful meeting with the floor, Izuku found his lips pulling into a smile.

Video Transcript - Day Three Afternoon Challenge - Chaos Crew

[There is nothing but black.]

Eijirou: Bakubro, dude, please let our camera man go. He wasn't trying to insult you when he said to get out of the way! You were just standing in front of the camera. 

[There is the sound of a struggle and the lens cap is taken off the camera to reveal a worried looking Eijirou, Mina and Denki excitedly taking to Ochako, and Sero sleeping in a blue plastic chair. Bakugou steps into frame seconds later, holding what looks like a yellow backpack.]

Eijirou: Thanks dude.

Bakugou: Whatever. Have any of you BLEEP seen Deku? He left his stupid BLEEP backpack at the hotel again.

Eijirou: I think he's over with Tsuyu playing Uno.

[Bakugou stomps off camera.]

Announcer: Welcome back. If everyone could please take their places with their respective teams so we could begin, that would be great.

[The chatter dies down as the participants find their own teams and wait in front of their cameras.]

Announcer: Alright. I bet you are all excited for the final challenge since we've kept it a secret up until now. This challenge will be very different from the previous five, since today we are requesting the help of our audience!

[The announcer throws their hands out to the crowd of onlookers waiting just behind the barrier. The crowd cheers loudly.]

Announcer: Before we get to that, we need to discuss the rules. I swear to god Ochako if you start chanting again I will not hesitate to kick you and your friends out of this competition. The rules are slightly different this round since instead of seven teams, we're combining you all into two teams with ten people on each team. There is no sabotaging the other team. No braking the game rules. Absolutely no leaving your designated area until you are told to. And no outside help. This includes anyone not on your team. 

Announcer: Some of you may think these rules sound quite different from usual, and they are! That's because the game we'll be playing has very specific rules of it's own. Perhaps you've heard of Two Rooms and a Boom, because that's what we'll be playing. 

Announcer: For those of you who haven't heard of Two Rooms and a Boom, I will give a brief explanation now, and later I will explain more in depth and answer any questions you may have. There will be two teams, a red team and a blue team. The red team will have a bomber and the blue team will have a president. The two teams will be randomly split up into two rooms. Over the course of the game people will be exchanged between the two rooms multiple times. The end goal for the red team is to have the bomber in the same room as the president when the game ends. The blue team wins if the president and bomber are not in the same room. 

Announcer: So? Are we set to begin? We'll draw lots to place you all on teams, then well ask each to to select some volunteers from our audience to round out the teams.

[Nejire is standing on one side of a hallway with Deku, Tomura, a few unrecognizable people, and Bakugou.]

Nejire (whispering): Hey wanna colour share.

[Tomura eyes her skeptically before giving a curt nod. The camera moves over her shoulder to catch the reveal of the bottom of two blue cards. Nejire nods seriously.]

Nejire (whispering): Do you know who the bomber is?

[Tomura sneers and shakes his head walking off.]

Nejire: How rude. 

[A timer rings out and everyone looks up from their conversations.]

Announcer: Alright, leaders you know the drill, Meet me in the middle.

[Bakugou leaves the group of about ten people and meets the Announcer and Tenya in the middle of the hallways. On the other side of the hallways is another group of about ten people. Tenya and Bakugou speak to the announcer for a moment.]

Announcer: Alright hostages, please change rooms. This was the final round. 

[Two people, one from each of the two groups, cross the hallways to join with the other group. Bakugou and Tenya return to their teams.]

Announcer: Alright! Everyone reveal their roles! It's time to see whose won.

[There's some shouting, someone is revealed to be a spy, and Nejire reveals her card, which is blue, to the camera. She giggles as the camera focuses on Bakugou proudly displaying his red card that says 'bomber'. Nearby Deku sighs and holds up his card that is blue and says 'president'.]

Bakugou: Ha! Take that Deku, I won!

Deku: But Kaachan that's so mean! I can't believe you'd kill me like this!

Announcer: The red team wins since the bomber is in the same room as the president. Everyone on the red team receives a point. Who would like to play another game, this time just for fun?

[The crowd cheers and all the card are handed back to the announcer.]

Announcer: All right, let's pick some new volunteers.
