Chapter Text
Dream had a thing about ink. Tattoo ink to be exact, and the masterpieces it became. The way it turned the blank canvas of an irritating, ugly person into something unique and beautiful, something he wanted to run his hands over and worship. Tracing lines embedded in skin with featherlight fingers until the skin beneath them was sensitive and covered in goose flesh, eliciting whines and sighs from lips that he would probably never kiss again after whatever particular night it was ended.
Sapnap called it a kink but Dream liked to think of it as a deep appreciation for an underrated art. And if it gave him a job, a passion, something to spend his time doing and be happy about doing it? Just another plus. If, of course, he could find a shop to hire him for more than a few weeks.
You see, Dream had these pesky things called standards (an ego as big as the ocean is deep, Sapnap liked to correct) and refused to do any work he considered beneath him, anything cliche or boring. Not hearts and barbed wire, no names of girlfriends or boyfriends, nothing so overdone and usually regretted by the time the high of nightlife and drunk love evaporated into the morning sun.
Not to say he wouldn’t do names or simple ink, he would, so long as there was a meaning behind it. Something to remember, something to hold dear. A lost loved one, a new life welcomed into the world, even something random and colorful to hide away old horrors carved into skin with things harsher than Dream’s needle. He wasn’t heartless, rather because his heart was big and dipped in ink he cared deeply for what marvels he brought to life in a stranger’s skin, and he wanted those who had them and those who saw the ink to be just as awed by the finished product as he always was, just as proud, just as satisfied. Parlor owners, to Dream’s irritation, didn’t seem to share his views on their craft.
“Stupid walk-ins are how we get paid , Dream.” One owner, a scruffy older man named Schlatt had snarled with visible distaste for Dream’s pride, “Commissions might be more exciting but not everyone wants to or can pay five hundred dollars for a mid sized patch of ink.”
His mentor, Puffy, had even turned him down with a similar reason. She’d had a sad little smile on her face when she turned him away, her voice soft and caring as it always was.
“Dream I love you, but I can’t keep an artist that only does maybe two tats a month.” Puffy had cupped his cheeks and given them a gentle squish, “We’re not high end enough for that… I’m sure you’ll find the right place, I’ll help you look okay?”
Dream had agreed and thanked her for all she’d done, from taking him and Drista in when they were kids to encouraging him to follow his passions, and finally for teaching him everything he knew about laying ink into someone’s skin. He would never not be grateful to her, but he knew she was right. He needed to stand on his own feet, and he was excited to find the right place for his art.
He really just wished it was easier done than said.
Dream spent months bouncing from parlor to parlor, scratching out of his house when Sapnap met someone willing to pay and not complain about it not being a proper shop. How else was he supposed to keep his skills up when no parlor had standards? Maybe it was illegal, but his work was art and his space was clean, no one Dream set his needle to had ever complained about the results or worse, gotten an infection from improper care. He was a master of his craft and damn proud of it, using Sapnap as a test monkey and portfolio if anyone wanted a reference of his work.
His friend was always more than willing to let Dream try out a new technique or style he picked up, having a taste for pain and a love for the end results that came from hours of whirring needles and ink smeared hands. Sapnap was a walking art exhibit and Dream loved him for it, the way he showed off every piece he could on a daily basis, the way he would let Dream worship over the ink and skin and soft sighs spilling from chapped lips on quiet nights when they held no one but each other. It was familiar, comforting to know he would always have his Sappittus with him even if he had no other place in this world.
Dream loved the nights they’d go clubbing almost as much, loved watching the hidden black light ink spring to life across their skin, Dream’s random derpy smiling faces that he had carefully coached Sapnap through scattering across his arms and back with one rising high on the left side of his throat. He loved watching the flames that danced up Sap’s arms and legs along with a massive panda on his back, hidden in normal light by a monochromatic kaiju come to life beneath flashing lights. They never failed to get looks and praise for their bodies, their ink, Dream’s precious artwork. It stroked Dream’s ego and reaffirmed his belief that he should never do mediocre work he hated, only his beloved originals.
Walking into their favorite club, owned by Sapnap’s ex, always brought a grin to Dream’s face, his excitement mirrored in Sapnap’s smirk. Quackity was attractive in an almost dangerous way, dark eyes that shone and glinted in the flashing lights, midnight black hair just as half trapped beneath a beanie to keep it from running wild, only for hand to shove it off and run through the thick locks in shadowy corners. Lips that rose to a smirk, crooking the scar that ran down the left side of his face into something sharper, meaner, hotter. Quick to laugh with a sharp wit and a silver tongue, a kind heart with a generous nature, a good guy, but he and Sapnap had decided that being friends was the best route for them. Sapnap was too quick with his temper and wild ideas, Quackity too calculating and cautious. They worked great as friends, but clashed too harshly as anything more than that.
Tonight was no exception to the looks shared between the two men, inked skin glowing beneath flashing lights of teal and purple and pink and Quackity’s favorite shade of blue. The club was modern and neat, with two circular bars on opposite sides of the large first floor, DJ booth and VIP tables on the second story overlooking the dance floor. Dream let out a laugh and immediately shed his leather jacket as they walked to the bar, tossing it to their friend Nikki for safe keeping. With it gone Dream was left in a lime colored tank top, clashing slightly with his ripped up black jeans but he liked the way the color went neon in the lights of the club. Nikki visibly cringed at his fashion sense, but laughed at his antics nonetheless, she was used to Dream’s quirks.
The small peach haired woman was one of the sweetest people Dream knew, and spotted some of his most colorful works. Flowers and birds, black light music notes hidden in flames for a time long past. Nikki had wept once that sleeve was done, and Dream had nearly regretted it until she smiled and pulled him into a hug with a whispered thank you.
“Hello boys!” The aforementioned woman smiled warmly, the metal hoop at the corner of her bottom lip glinting in the pink light of the bar as she tucked away the jacket, “The usual start?”
“Nikki, you're an angel.” Sapnap cooed, as she slid him a shot of the top shelf vodka usually reserved for VIP’s. The white crop top he wore rose a bit higher as he knocked back the bitter liquid, giving a nice flash of the intricate steampunk heart on his chest.
“And you are a flatterer.” Nikki giggled, somewhere between shy and coy as she peered at a brightly colored pufferfish on Sap’s inner arm, “Is that one new?”
“Yep, just finished healing!”
“It’s very pretty, the way it lays almost makes it look like it’s swimming when you move.” Nikki’s accent was always pleasant to hear, laughing the words as she looked up at Dream after finishing his drink, some fruity rum filled concoction she called a Dreamboat, “Very nice, Dream.”
“Thank you.” The blonde smirked and leaned on the bar as he sipped his drink, savoring it instead of knocking it back the way Sapnap liked to, and asking the question that always began his game of hunting, “See anything else pretty tonight?”
Nikki tapped a finger against her lips, humming as she pretended to think. Dream didn’t prod, not playing her game of bait and bargain as he simply swirled his drink. He felt the alcohol already seeping into his system, making the bass pounding through the club heavier, the lights brighter, the atmosphere thicker with potential for bad decisions and fun with prettily inked people whose faces he wouldn’t remember.
Nikki broke the game first with a huff, letting her hand fall back onto the glass of the bar, “Well, there was someone with neon black light swirls all over their legs here with Q, fluffy brown hair and something peeking out under their shirt that would have been pretty.”
“Ohhh, if they’re with Q then they’re definitely someone I wanna meet.” Sapnap grinned, knocking back his third shot before clapping Dream’s shoulder with a grin, “If it’s something I think you’ll like, I’ll let you know.”
“You’re the best Sap.” Dream laughed, grabbing his friend’s exposed waist to pull him in for a short, appreciative kiss. Sapnap hummed against his lips and raked a hand through Dream’s hair before pulling away.
“You make me not want to leave sometimes.” Sap pouted, giving a sharp bite to Dream’s lip in retaliation for the distraction. Dream just smirked and dug his fingers into Sapnap’s sides, loving the way his friend was perfectly built for grabbing at and holding onto.
“Not my fault if you’re addicted to me baby boy.” The purr always brought a shiver through the raven haired boy’s body, a haze to his fiery eyes that sent heat to Dream’s gut.
“Hey enough, no soft porn at my bar.” Nikki reached to shove them apart, “You have pretty boys to hunt and seduce, yeah?”
“Killjoy.” Sapnap clacked the metal ball in his tongue against his teeth before sauntering away, vanishing into the crowd of writhing bodies on the dance floor.
Dream huffed and sat on a stool, grabbing his drink again and turning to Nikki, “Speaking of hunting-“
“No.” Nikki shut him down without so much as a glance, eyes trained on the glass she was cleaning, “I haven’t found-“ A pause, slumped shoulders and a pained sigh, “I haven’t found any of them.”
Dream frowned and nodded in understanding. Nikki’s friends had had this big falling out after one of them went missing, his car found burning in the woods three weeks after his disappearance. Pogtopia, their band, had split up after that, went their different ways after one of the members had shouted at them to stop looking, leave their singer alone. He wanted to leave, so the guitarist helped him leave, and the singer would never be found. The drummer had been outraged, the keyboardist shocked, their roadies sad yet unsurprised, and Nikki had felt betrayed. She went to work for Quackity, who had always let the band play at the club, after the others had abandoned their shared loft without so much as a goodbye. She’d been looking for all of them ever since.
“What about you, how’s your hunt?” Nikki broke their silence with a softly spoken question, fingers trailing over the music notes on her arm. Dream groaned and lairs his head on the bar.
“No one has standards these days Nikks, no one!” Dream whined, easily slipping into his brat mode in order to get his friend smiling again. Surely enough Nikki laughed and patted his head.
“Poor thing, so unappreciated.” The woman cooed, her amusement at his pain very clear. That was fine though, Dream could take being the butt of a joke if it helped someone he cared for smile. He huffed softly and looked up at her with a pout as he scooted his emptied drink forward for a refill. Nikki laughed and took the glass, walking off to do a round before helping him out. Rude.
“Impressive work you have.” Someone sat next to him, cropped multi-colored hoodie sliding off their shoulders a bit, giving more view to the black mesh shirt beneath. Dream raised a brow and turned, blatantly eyeing the purple, teal, yellow, and orange swirls all over their legs with interest. The inked lines matched the colors on their hoodie almost perfectly. They wore a short blue pleated skirt and white fishnets with large holes scattered about to better show the ink trailing their skin. Dream could see the edges of something colorful just beneath the front of the hoodie and he itched to find out what it could be.
Taking a moment to actually look at their face, Dream could see why Quackity would be interested in them. Fluffy brown curls flopped over their forehead despite obvious attempts to push it back, violet tinted eyes shone with intelligence and interest, pretty pink lips tilted into a curious smile.
“Thanks, did most of them myself.” Dream grinned, cocky as he leaned in the bar and feeling smug that Sapnap’s intended prey had come to him instead, “Haven’t seen you around before.”
“Haven’t been out much.” The stranger shrugged with a smile, the lights of the club flashing over their face and creating varying colors of shadows across it, “My friend and I are new to town.”
“The cutie has a friend? Are they as pretty as you are?” Dream teased lightly, reaching to ghost his fingers against the stranger’s chin without making real contact. Violet eyes fluttered as they leaned into Dream’s hand with a sigh, smiling as they turned and pressed a kiss to his palm.
“404 is gorgeous, and also not here if you were wondering.” Pink lips brushed the rough skin of Dream’s palm as they spoke, soft and tipped into a grin, “Rare that someone calls me pretty without asking my name. Or gender.”
“Oh but I gave you one, Cutie. Don’t really care about the other bit.”
“That so?”
“It is. Does that bother you?” Dream started pulling his hand back, but the cute stranger gently grabbed his wrist and held his palm firmly against their cheek.
“It doesn’t. I like guys that like mysteries. Things are more exciting that way.” The stranger nuzzled into Dream’s palm with a small pout, as if they were mad at Dream for even thinking of moving away. The blonde laughed and stroked his thumb against their cheek in apology.
“Mysteries are very exciting, especially from pretty things like you.” Dream leaned in closer, watching as pink rose to the surface beneath pale cheeks teased with glitter, “I will ask this though, is Cutie fine by you or would you like something more personal?”
“Depends, how many other cuties do you have?” Violet eyes danced over Dream’s face, possibly attempting to count the freckles scattered about it.
“None that I kept around.” Dream glanced up as Nikki none too gently set his new drink down, along with an aqua colored drink for his companion. The blonde snickered and moved back a bit, smiling at the whine from pretty pink lips. “Nikki doesn’t like too much PDA at the bar, doll.”
“Cutie and doll? Does that make me special?” They finally relinquished Dream’s hand in favor of pinking up the drink.
“More than most.” Dream lifted his glass as well, taking a slow drink as this cute doll giggled around their straw.
“Alright then, a more personal name sounds fun. Whatcha got?” They grinned, a brow raised in a challenge.
“Easy, Swirls.” Dream reached to tap one of the little glowing marks on Swirls’ thigh as they barked out another laugh.
“That’s so lame!”
“I don’t exactly know what you expected, all I know of you is how pretty you are and how precise these are.” Dream snickered, tracing the purple line lightly and delighting into the shiver he got from it.
“Okay fair. Should I call you smiles then?” Swirls reached to tap the smiley face on Dream’s neck. Dream rolled his eyes and captured their wrist, returning the kiss from before with one to a teal loop found on the tender flesh.
“Call me the guy of your Dreams.” The blonde winked, shy giggles falling from now aqua tinted lips.
“Too long, Smiles is easier.”
“Then just-“
“Oh Dreeeeam~” Arms covered in dancing flames wrapped around his shoulders as warm lips settled by his ear, “Why didn’t you come find me? I couldn’t find them and got lonely~”
“Because I’m not lonely.” Dream snickered, leaning back into Sapnap as Swirls’ eyes widened and dimmed to a bitter and resigned mauve, “Hey no, don’t make that face doll. Sap’s fine with pretty things like you coming into my bed.”
“Ohh, you found the pretty one Q was with?” Sapnap perked up, letting go of Dream to wander closer to Swirls, “Hey there, I’m Sapnap.”
“Oh I’m, S-Swirls I guess?” Swirls laughed shyly, mauve lightening to something closer to the bright violet from before as they looked back and forth between Dream and Sapnap.
“One of Dream’s dumb nicknames?” Sapnap snickered, ignoring Dream’s indignant glare and tipping Swirls’ face up with a gentle finger under their chin, “I think… I could do better.”
Dream scoffed and rolled his eyes with a smile, enjoying their little game as he sipped his drink. He gave Swirls a soft smile when they still looked a bit lost, hoping to reassure them a bit. He and Sap meant no harm and would back off if they continued to be uncomfortable.
Swirls hummed as tension released from their shoulders, looking up at Sapnap shyly, “No thanks, I like it.”
“Suit yourself.” Sapnap shrugged, leaning forward to kiss their forehead lightly. Dream’s brows rose a bit, Sapnap wasn’t one to just give away kisses like that. He might have to forfeit in that case.
“I always do…” Swirls trailed their hand up Sapnap’s arm with a smile, “These are nice, the black light flames.”
“Thanks.” Dream smirked, winking when Swirls looked over curiously, “All his ink is mine.”
“Really?” Swirls looked up at Sapnap for confirmation, and the raven nodded and turned, showing off what was exposed of the kaiju and panda. Swirls reached out hesitantly, “Can I…?”
“Get a better look? Sure, however.” Sapnap turned and gave Nikki a two finger salute. The woman narrowed her eyes impatiently, “We should move to a table before Nikki throws water at us.”
“Would she?” Swirls looked at the woman incredulously, disbelieving, “She’d get in trouble for it though?”
“She’d do it.” A duel answer from serious faces.
“She knows us.” Sapnap wrinkled his nose and swiped Dream’s drink to down it in a few gulps.
“And Q’s got a rule, if patrons irritate workers, workers can handle it how they see fit.” Dream stood and offered Swirls a hand, “Now, should one of us fuck off and go dance or are we both welcome to talk some more?
Swirls giggled and took Dream’s offered hand, standing gracefully in heels that put them well over Dream’s head. They reached for Sapnap’s hand when he made a pouty face and pulled him closer.
“I think three’s a party.” Swirls grinned, letting Dream lead their group around the dance floor and to one of the far VIP booths up on the balcony. Booth was a loose term, high backed white seats that curved enough to give an illusion of privacy, the dark lighting of the second story making the space feel secret, special, with high sitting tables that could be moved aside if the patrons wanted more room. Dream slid in first, watched as Sapnap gave Swirls the option of sitting on the outside if they wanted. The violet eyed beauty just smirked and slid in next, crossing their legs daintily as they gave Sapnap an expectant look.
“Something you want, Swirls?” Sapnap grinned back as he sat down, leaning his elbow on the table and his chin in his palm.
“You said I could see the rest.” Swirls pouted cutely and Dream laughed, knowing where this would go.
“The rest of what?” Sapnap’s grin grew ever wider when Swirls huffed softly.
“Of your tattoo.”
“Did I?”
“You did.”
“Oh but which one were we talking about? I can’t remember, I have so many.”
“The panda.”
“This one?” Sapnap showed off a cute, cartoonish sleeping panda on the inside of his right arm and Swirls groaned.
“Nooo, the one on your baaack.” They whined and looked at Dream for help. Dream just shrugged with a smirk as he watched them.
“Are you asking me to take off my shirt Swirls? How bold.” Sapnap winked, snickering at the wide eyed look he got from them. With a grin the raven moved closer and gently brought Swirls’ hands to the hem of his crop top, “Take it off me then.”
Dream hummed and gently wrapped his arms around Swirls’ waist as he pressed against their back, watching as their face went from pink to red, violet eyes turning to a hazy amethyst. Delicate looking hands gripped white fabric before slipping under it and pushing it up higher. Dream grinned as the steampunk heart became exposed, Swirls gasping and tracing over the intricate line work with slow fingers, marveling at the dramatic colors and deep shading. Orange, bronze, brown, a flash of gold in the center of the carefully crafted organ.
“This is… This is you?” Swirls’ voice was quiet, awed as their fingers continued tracing the thin lines.
“Everything on me is Dream, I don’t cheat on the best artist in town.” Sapnap smirked, leaning forward so that Swirls’ hand pressed more firmly against his chest, “That all you want to see then?”
“No.” Swirls huffed and pulled the loose top over Sapnap’s head, getting a laugh from both him and Dream at their impatience, “I want to see everything.”
“So bold for a pretty little doll.” Dream purred, lightly nipping at Swirls’ ear. The pretty thing whimpered and pressed back against him, hands wrapping around Sapnap’s waist to pull him closer so they could stay in contact.
“You’re both teases from hell.” Swirls pouted, running their hands up Sapnap’s sides with a light drag of neon painted nails, matching with their hoodie as everything seemed to.
“Mmm, doesn’t seem like you’re much better.” Sapnap groaned, the fire in his eyes smoldering as he leaned past Swirls to press a lustful kiss to Dream’s lips. Dream hummed and slipped his tongue into the wet heat of Sap’s mouth, ignoring Swirls’ whine of protest with a squeeze to their waist. Sapnap moaned when Dream nipped at his tongue, careful of the metal ball that clacked against his teeth as the smaller man explored his mouth.
“Guys!” Swirls whined again, louder and insistent as he pushed Sapnap away from Dream, “That’s not faaaair.”
“How so?” Dream pressed a soft kiss to Swirls’ hair, lightly rubbing their waist when they half turned to pout at him.
“You’re ignoring me.”
“Kinda.” Sapnap admitted with a soft laugh as he leaned against Swirls’ hands again, “See, we don’t know you babe.”
Swirls blinked and looked at him with a frown, “I thought we came up here to… get to know each other?”
“We did.” Dream chuckled and gently cupped Swirls’ chin to look them in their eyes, the shade too close to mauve for his liking, “And we will, but until then doll, you will have to ask for what you want.”
“We don’t know what you like, what you don’t like, where your boundaries are.” Sapnap raised Swirls hand from his chest to his lips to press gentle kisses to the tip of each finger.
“And we don’t want to make assumptions and scare you off.” Dream finished with a kiss to Swirls’ cute little nose, “Consent is sexy, doll. I give you full consent to take what you want from me though, in case you were wondering.”
Swirls huffed and leaned close to nip Dream’s bottom lip, “I want kisses too.”
“Then kisses you shall have.” Sapnap smirked, cheekily trailing kisses to the back of Swirls’ hand, up their arm and to their neck. Dream had kissed Sapnap enough to know that his lips were barely brushing against Swirls’ skin, giving them no where near what they wanted. “Mind if we bite?”
“You can but-“ Swirls whined again, grabbing Sap’s waist to tug him closer, “Saaaapnaaap, I want-“
“KAAAAAY WHERE ARE YOU, YOU PASTY ASS WHITE BOY?!” Quackity’s screech broke their seductive atmosphere as Swirls jumped, eyes wide as they looked at the stairs to the balcony.
“Fuck.” They groaned and gave Sapnap a light push, “I forgot we still had things to talk about.”
“So the pretty doll’s name is Kay.” Sapnap hummed, completely unhelpful to Kay trying to move past him.
“I- Y-Yeah, it is, like the um- l-like the letter.” K pouted as Dream laughed.
“So much for mystery.” The blonde snickered, peering out of the booth to wave at a frantic Quackity, “He’s here.”
“No don’t do- Why would you do that? That was unnecessary now he’s going to- Heeeey Q.” K gave an awkward little wave, shyness cloaking him as a timid guise, so different from his earlier flirty confidence. It was so cute. The lights brought Quackity’s white shirt to a soft glow, black suspenders cutting through with a sharpness that rivaled the scar on his face, holding black slacks on very nice hips that Dream missed grabbing onto.
Quackity raised an unimpressed brow as he stood at their table, eyes roaming over the three of them slowly. Kiss bruised lips, reddened cheeks, Sapnap missing his shirt and uncaring of putting it back on.
“…Can’t say I’m surprised.” Quackity eventually sighed, shaking his head, “I meant to introduce you guys more professionally than this.”
“Professional? At your nightclub ?” Dream rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms more securely around K’s waist, resting his chin on the brunette’s shoulder, “You know better Quackity.”
“Yes well, I knew you’d have your ink on display so.” Quackity shrugged, seemingly unbothered by Dream and Sapnap crowding around and clinging to K, “K’s an old buddy from college, he and his friend 404 just opened up a tattoo parlor. Thought you’d be interested in somewhere that doesn’t know how much of a prissy bitch you are, Dreamie.”
“Rude, also thank you.” Dream laughed and pulled back to look at K fully, “That why you asked about my ink?”
“The ink and you’re really hot. Didn’t realize you were the artist he wanted me to meet.” K shrugged, leaning into Sapnap’s hand as he played with soft looking brown curls, “So um… I can take it from here Q?”
“Mhm, I’m sure you can. I’ll call 404 and tell him you’ll be home late.” Quackity snickered, reaching to ruffle Sap’s hair before walking off.
K huffed a shy laugh as he watched Quackity go back down the steps to the dance floor, “So…”
“So.” Dream pressed a featherlight kiss to K’s throat, smirking when the brunette gave a soft sigh and tilted his head towards Sapnap to give Dream more room, “We can talk about the job now, or later. Up to you.”
“That depends, am I ever getting a real kiss?” K pouted looking up at Sapnap to see if the raven would have more pity than the blonde. Dream laughed and scooted so he was flush against K’s side.
“A real kiss huh?” Dream nipped at K’s ear again, chuckling darkly when K bit back a sound trying to escape his pretty lips. “You want us to kiss you senseless, K? Leave you breathless and begging?”
“God, anything please .” K groaned, running his hands across Sapnap’s chest, “Beginning to think you’re all talk , boys.”
Dream laughed and kissed the shell of K’s ear, giving Sapnap a look that was returned with a fire filled grin as the raven got closer to K.
“Alright doll, since you asked so nicely.” Sapnap teased, gently gripping K’s chin and yanking him close to crash their lips together. The contrast between how gentle Sap was before and how rough he was now must have been a shock to K, he gasped and gripped Sapnap’s shoulders with a choked back moan as the raven thoroughly explored his mouth. Dream was left to watch, normally vibrant green eyes dimmed by hazy lust as his lover devoured every sound the brunette struggled to hide. Dream didn’t stay passive for long though, latching onto the exposed skin of K’s neck with a low growl. His sharp teeth sunk into tender flesh, K giving a soft mewl into Sap’s mouth as Dream laced over the near broken skin with his tongue.
By the time Sapnap pulled away they were both panting for breath, but that didn’t stop Sapnap for yanking on Dream’s hair to pull his mouth off K’s skin with a wet pop before slotting their lips together with a low groan, half crawling into K’s lap to get closer. Dream chuckled as he licked into Sapnap’s mouth, twining their tongues together briefly before pulling away and tilting K’s head towards himself, smirking at the sight of blown wide pupils and panting lips.
“More, K?” Dream brushed their lips together teasingly, grinning at the pitiful whine he received.
“ Please .” That was all Dream needed to hear to press his lips to K’s with a soft groan. K kissed like he was drowning and Dream was air, desperate and needy, clutching at Dream’s tank top and Sapnap’s hair to pull them both closer. Dream knew that Sapnap would do the same thing he did, mark up pretty pale skin with even prettier bite marks, so he took his time pulling soft sounds from K. The blonde was gentle, slowly exploring K’s mouth and giving the softest nips to K’s tongue and bottom lip, drinking up moans and whimpers as K tried to deepen the kiss to something harsher, heavier. Dream refused to give him an inch, keeping their kiss slow as he traced over one of the hickeys he’d left on K’s neck, just the slightest of pressure to give K a reminder of what he and Sapnap would leave once the night was over.
With a final, much harsher, bite to K’s tongue Dream pulled away, smirking at the dazed yet unsatisfied look the brunette wore. K whined and tried chasing after him only to cry out as Sapnap bit down on his shoulder after tugging the hoodie out of the way, hands squeezing K’s waist possessivly as he left a deep purple crescent mark on pale skin.
“Fuck.” K groaned when Sapnap finally let go, apologizing with a soft kiss to the blossoming bruise, “You two…”
“Not too much for you, I hope?” Dream traced an obnoxiously orange spiral on K’s neck, placing a sweet kiss to the ink.
“Not enough , you’re both terrible.” K whined, pouting at them as he crossed his arms. Dream and Sapnap both laughed, the blonde not nothing to hold back his annoying tea kettle wheeze as he laid his head on K’s shoulder, arms wrapping around his waist again.
“So needy K, we’re in public you know.” Sapnap snickered, finally moving off K’s lap to stretch, “Speaking of, I don’t suppose you’d want to come home with us?”
“Depends, am I ever going to see the rest of your back or will you torment me all night?” K raised a brow and leaned against Dream’s side, much to Dream’s pleasure. It gave him the chance to place more kisses on the little spirals after tugging K’s hoodie towards him to reveal more skin.
“So insistent.” Sapnap reached to poke K’s nose before turning around, leaving the brunette to gasp in wonder at his ink covered back. Flames and fur and scales covered his skin in what looked almost like a mess at a glance, but the longer you looked the more detail and time could be seen in the work. The panda was probably the most simple part, lines that shine white in the black lights of the club but otherwise went unseen, colored only by the vicious monster destroying a city skyline.
“Wow…” K’s breathy voice was one of the sweetest sounds Dream had ever heard, neon tipped fingers reaching to skim over the lines, “This is… Holy fuck, Dream you’re hired.”
Dream blinked and let out a soft wheeze, “WhAt?! Just like?”
“ Yes. just like that. I’ve never seen ink this good. I thought Sapnap was exaggerating but-”
“K, listen. I like you but there’s a reason I’m for sale.” Dream held up a hand to stop K’s excited rambling, even if his ego was purring at the attention, letting go of the brunette and crossing his arms with a frown. If it was so easy for K to give him a job, then there was no way he’d appreciate Dream’s standards, “I only do work like this, good, original, meaningful -“
“I know, we know, Q told us.” K grinned, grabbing Dream’s shoulders and throwing his leg across the blonde’s lap to straddle his hips. Dream heard Sapnap whistle but paid him no mind as K continued speaking, “I was just coming to see your work, see if you were worth the trouble and you are . 404 has harsh standards too, we get it. Come by and check out the parlor? Please?”
Lime eyes met violet, searching for anything half truth, any sign that this would be another waste of his time. When he found none Dream smiled, something softer and kinder, something reserved for friends as he gave a small nod.
“Alright, I’ll stop by tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?” It was K’s turn to frown, brows furrowed in confusion as he settled his weight on Dream’s thighs.
“Unfortunately doll, I am a firm believer of not sleeping with someone you work with.” Dream sighed and reached to cup K’s cheek, “Even when I reallly want to, turns messy when things don’t turn out well.”
K rolled his eyes and leaned into Dream’s hand, “It’s just one night-“
“I meant the job K.”
“But I told you, 404 won’t have a problem with-“
“And if you’re right, then I’ll have to look at you everyday and know how you look when you’re a begging mess. Very distracting.”
K’s face went red again as he leaned closer, pouting right in Dream’s face, “Doesn’t have to be a one time thing, Dream.”
“I’ll have to jump in on this one Dream.” Sapnap’s hand slipped between them to grip Dream’s chin and firmly turn his head for attention, “I wanna take him home, together.”
Dream raised a brow, intrigued by why Sapnap was actually fighting his decision. Usually, the raven would just take K for himself and Dream would retreat to the soundproofed basement for however many nights he needed to. It was how they worked. But for Sapnap to argue for Dream’s presence like this? That only happened when Sapnap had more than sex on the brain, as it had with Quackity.
Dream would never let Sapnap go without someone he wanted just because he wanted to avoid drama.
“…Fine, he’s too cute to pass up.” Dream relented, nipping at the fingers still holding his face. Sapnap grinned and leaned to give him a kiss, before turning and giving K the same treatment.
“So K, wanna come home with us?” The fire in Sapnap’s eyes was smoldering, burning lust and want that would consume anything in its path stupid enough to crave its heat.
K groaned and grabbed Sapnap’s jaw, pulling him back for a deeper, messier kiss. All teeth and tongue and swallowed up noises.
“ Please .” K whined, pink lips swollen and panting as he looked at them, “I can’t stand much more teasing.”
Dream laughed and gave Sapnap a nod, the raven grinning and slipping his shirt back on before slipping out of the booth to retrieve Dream’s jacket. K opened his lips to protest before Dream cut him off with a sharp bite to already bruised lips.
“Alright cutie, we won’t make you wait much longer.” Dream purred, sliding out of the booth with K still in his lap, letting the brunette stand before leading him down the steps and to the front door, Sapnap already waiting by his bright orange sports car when they got outside.
“How many drinks?” Sapnap asked, twirling the keys around his fingers.
“Just two, I’m alright.” Dream caught the keys when Sapnap tossed them high, climbing into the driver's seat. He rolled his eyes when Sap led K into the tiny as hell backseat used only for times like this. “Don’t have too much fun without me.”
“Oh we will.” Sapnap smirked, already half crawling on K to latch their lips together. Not that they were alone, K didn’t even bother hiding the pretty sounds the other drew from him, whining and moaning as he clawed at Sap’s crop top.
Dream growled and started the car. Tonight was going to be fun, so long as the ride back to the house didn’t murder his sanity. Another needy whimper from the backseat and the blonde pulled out onto the ride, already fully aware that this drive was going to be hell.
