Summary:

After a year of their break up, it was time to move on, but were Goku and Chichi ready yet? What could happen when they started looking for new love through an online dating app?

Chapter 1: Finder

Notes:

Written for GoChi Week 2022

It was supposed to be a one-shot, but it got more and more words so I decided to split it into three chapters and fit the chapters to the themes of the special week.

This one corresponds to the first one, theme: Love Dream

The second and the third will be for days 4 and 5.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Dear Kami, that place looked abandoned. Anyone looking from the outside wouldn't know that there was a human being living there! Well, maybe not exactly a human, but a living being with intellectual capacity, a functional adult. At least that's what he thought.

Krillin shook his head and knocked a few times on the door, but no one came to answer it. He knew, however, that his friend was inside, he could feel his KI. He then decided to go inside and as soon as he stepped through the door the monk immediately brought his hand to his tiny-almost-non-existent nose, trying to inhibit the smell of something rotten that was inside. He soon found Goku stretched out on a musty old futon with no shirt and no pants, and Krillin was mentally thankful that his friend was at least wearing underwear, which, however, was stained, from something he didn't know what was, but preferred not to think about. Goku had clearly not showered for days, his hair was greasy, and his beard was unshaven – which in Goku's case meant months since his beard grew very, very slowly. There were scraps of food scattered around the house, as well as dirty clothes, his fighting suits, and stinky boots. He did not doubt that that house must have been infested with rats and cockroaches.

He slapped his own face and shook his head. The strongest warrior in the world was done.

He had been like this ever since Chichi and he had broken up.

Krillin never thought Goku would feel so bad about it, after all, the same man had been dead and away from his family for seven years and had apparently taken that distance very well. However, now that he was in the world of living again, but separated from Chichi, it seemed that he no longer had the will to live, and that was depressing. To see Goku, the one who was always smiling and in a good mood, who always saw the positive side of things, in that situation, cut him to the heart.

Goku needed to get his shit together. He then shook the sayan who was drooling and snoring on his stomach on the futon.

“Hey, Goku, wake up!”

“Huh?” the sayan opened his eyes and wiped his saliva with the back of his hand until he got situated on what was happening. “Oh, hi Krillin, I didn't know you were here!”

The warrior stretched and straightened himself on the futon and then scratched his groin with one hand while the other scratched one of his eyes. Krillin made a disgusted face at the scene.

“My goodness, Goku, you look terrible!”

“What are ya talking about?! I'm fine!” Goku shrugged and reached for an open and slightly dented can of soda laying on the ground, which the liquid he drank was highly doubtful. He then burped loudly and smiled, scratching the back of his neck.

Krillin sighed. The sayan didn't look fine at all, but apparently, he refused to accept reality. At least Goku had improved a little in the last few days. In the first week, the sayan was inconsolable. He was down, discouraged, seemed lifeless, didn't want to do anything, wasn't eating, and wasn't training. At least in the last few weeks, his friend seemed to have returned a little to his normal state, as he saw that he was at least training again – and apparently eating as well, although in a very sloppy way.

“How can you live in this pigsty?”

Krillin refused to believe that Goku was that sloppy. They had lived together for a few years while training under Master Roshi's tutelage, and his friend, while wild and unmannerly, was not a dirty, unhygienic pig. Not even Oolong did that. His behavior was a clear reflection of how he was really feeling.

Chichi certainly made quite a difference in his friend's life.

Goku shrugged.

“I only come here to sleep, actually, sometimes to eat too.”

After the breakup, Goku had moved into the old little house that had once belonged to his grandfather but had not made much of a point of renovating, tidying up, or even cleaning it.

“But you have to do something, you can't keep living like this!”

“I'm fine, really!” replied Goku, trying to convince his friend, or maybe himself about it.

“Listen Goku, you have been separated for months, you need to... you need to get out of this, you need to get over this separation. It is hurting you! You're not you anymore!”

“Um... look I don't know what you're talking about, because I'm fine, really!” said the Sayan as he scratched his belly unpretentiously. Then, he saw a ball of meatball on the floor, on the edge of the futon, and picked it up, saying, before putting it in his mouth “Look, a meatball!”

The monk made a disgusted expression and shook his head.

“No, you're not!” Krillin shouted. “And it's past time for you to move on. It's time to accept that you and Chichi are over!”

Goku grumbled and grimaced in displeasure. That subject was always a sticking point for him. However, his short friend was right, he wasn't well, but it was still hard to accept that everything was over. At least he could count on Krillin, who was his best friend, and ever since he and Chichi broke up, the monk would pay him constant visits to check on him and see if everything was okay. He was a good friend, so maybe he should listen to him and get his life together.

“What do you suggest I do?”

“You haven't started the divorce process yet, have you?”

“No...” Goku replied. He already knew what divorce proceedings were, Krillin had explained it to him before, but until then, he hadn't lifted a finger to make the separation official, and he hadn't heard that Chichi had done the same. Maybe deep down he had hoped that things would change, but it was just an illusion that his foolish heart was futilely feeding on.

“Don't you think you should start with that? Put an end to your situation?”

Goku sighed and replied, gloomily: “I prefer to let Chichi take care of that.”

“Well, if you need it, I can try to help you find a contact for a good lawyer.”

“Thanks.” he sided smiled. “But I... I just wanted... I just want to end this, this... this frustration!”

The short bald man shook his head, saddened. He could understand, that if he were in Goku's shoes and separated from his beloved android, he would also be feeling lost.

“You have to forget about her, Goku!”

“But... there's no way I can forget her, Krillin, she's the mother of my children...” Goku said. One day he had already forgotten her, and that wasn't good, he felt guilty for having forgotten about her and the promise he had made. And now, how could he simply forget her again? He wasn't sure he could, they had children together. “How can I forget who the mother of my children is?”

“No, Goku, not literally forget! Of course there's no way you can forget who she is, but you can overcome it! Get over this separation and be happy again!”

Goku nodded, understanding what he was trying to say, but not sure if he would ever be able to forget her or the love he felt for her.

“And how can I do this?”

“You haven't thought about, I don't know, meeting someone new?”

“Meet someone new? Is there someone I should meet?” asked the sayan innocently. He didn't understand how meeting someone else could make him forget about Chichi.

“Yes! No! I mean get out! Get out of this mountain, go for a walk, meet new people, other women, you know? Who knows, maybe you'll meet someone special or at least have some fun!” suggested the bald man.

“I dunno, Krillin... I think it's too soon...”

“Too soon? Goku you have been separated for almost a year!” exclaimed the monk. “It's not too soon!”

Goku scratched his head, a little uncertain. Had it been that long? Wow! Even he hadn't realized it, although to him it seemed like an eternity... But even tho, that time was still short compared to the time they had been together.

“Well, they always say there's nothing better than a new love to heal a broken heart!” Krillin smiled. “You might find the right person for you, but for that, you have to start going out and meeting other people.”

Goku had already found the right person for him and that was Chichi. There was no way he could find another. Not least because, like her, there was only one!

“I dunno, I don't think that could work.”

“You can at least give it a chance. You never know what might happen. You could go to the bars in the capital, for example!”

“The bars? What for?”

“Well, that's where you will meet the beautiful women, Goku. Or do you think you will meet anyone here on this mountain?”

Goku shrugged. He met Chichi right around the fire mountains.

“Although... On second thought, maybe this isn't the best way for you to start...” Krillin pondered. Goku wasn't the conventional type who could go to bars or parties, he barely knew how to behave properly at the parties Bulma gave at her house, let alone in an environment like a bar. “Maybe you can start by meeting people online!” Krillin's smile brightened.

“Online?”

“Yamcha told me about this dating app he is using, called Finder. Maybe it could be useful for you! Give me your cell phone!”

Goku didn't understand very well how it worked, but he got up to look for the cell phone that Gohan gave to him after he left home. It was the only use of the device, by the way, to talk to his children, because Goku didn't use it for basically anything else, except for Goten, who every time he went there, took out his cell phone to play games, since the little one was forbidden to have one for the time being – Chichi thought he was still too young for that.

“Ah, here it is!” Goku smiled as he found the device inside one of his boots and then handed it to Krillin, who grimaced as he took it.

“We shall see.” murmured the monk who started to download the app in question. “Your smartphone is a bit of an outdated model, but I think you can still use Finder... I think it'll be great for you to start socializing a little more. It's an app that uses one hundred percent anonymity. You don't see anyone's name or picture, just details and information that you choose to put in your profile. If you see a profile that interests you, you can give a like and if the person is interested in your profile as well, they'll match it and then you can start talking through the app. If things progress, then you set up a date to meet in person!”

“Hm...” Goku pondered for a moment. He knew what date was, he had had several with Chichi over their first years of marriage, but the rest of the things Krillin was telling still sounded foreign to him. It had been a little over a year since he had returned from the world of the dead, so he was still adapting to all those new technologies that, before he died in the battle against Cell, didn't yet exist.

“Come on, let's create a profile for you! What will be your username?”

“What is a username?”

“It will be your ‘name’, your nickname in the application.”

“And it can't be my own name?”

“No! The idea is not to use your own name, otherwise, people might be able to recognize you somehow, like searching for your name on the internet and finding information about you or your family.” Krillin explained. “Listen to me, it's very important that you don't reveal to just anyone who you are. The internet is a great tool, Goku, but it can also be dangerous if not used wisely. You better not give them a chance to do you or your sons any harm.”

Goku tilted his head to the side, thoughtfully. At that moment he understood Chichi's concern about Goten having a cell phone.

“What is yours?

“Mine?” Krillin's eyes widened. “Are you crazy, Goku?! I don't have one! I'm married, remember?!”

“So am I!”

“But you're separated, for God's sake!” Krillin replied, annoyed. “That's not my case! I only found out about this app because Yamcha told me! If you prefer, I won't say anything to anyone, I think it's even better, then you'll feel more at ease when it comes time to start talking to someone. I won't even tell Eighteen, okay?”

Goku shrugged. There was no reason to say anything to anyone.

“All right. So, I need to choose a username, a nickname... Like...” he thought for a moment and remembered the nicknames Chichi used to call him, especially in those more intimate moments. He blushed. Surely he couldn't use one of those dirty nicknames, mainly because they'd remind him of her, and the whole point of this business was to forget her. Right? “How about ... Kakarot?”

“Kakarot? But that is your sayan name! No. It could connect to you! Let's think about it! It has to be something sexy because you're going to use it to communicate with women, but it can't be obscene, or they will think you are a pervert. It has to attract attention, to show that you are a sophisticated guy!” Krillin looked at Goku, who was picking his nose clueless about what he was talking about. “Yeah, maybe not that sophisticated... Maybe something to do with your simple, yet powerful lifestyle! Like 'Mr. something'! Think of something that might suit you!”

Goku put his hand on his chin and thought for a moment until his mind lit up with an idea: “Hmmm, how about... Mr. Carrot?!”

She ran her hand over her head which throbbed with pain before taking an aspirin.

There were good days and bad days.

And that one was bad. Definitely bad.

She closed her eyes and tried to remember everything that had happened the night before, but there were only flashbacks of a few things. She remembered going out with Eighteen to go to the bar for a few drinks. They had done this at least once every two months since Goku was dead. The two had become very good friends after the android had crossed over to the light side of the force and married Krillin. They always did things together such as going for walks with their children, shopping together, and even going out to drink on some nights.

And after Goku and she broke up, Chichi used the days his children stayed with him to go out with her friend, but apparently, the night before, she had overdone it, because the hangover she woke up with that morning was a strong sign that she had crossed the line.

She also remembered going to a karaoke bar, to laugh at the people who subjected themselves to that ridiculousness and, of course, with no intention of singing. They ordered some drinks and snacks until...

Oh no! No, no, no, no, no! She sang!!!! By Kami, she sang!

Chichi put her hand to her head, despair and embarrassment overtook her. She had sung, and from the fragments of memory she had, she hadn't even sung properly. She was dead drunk!

How did Eighteen allow that?

She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth! Ah, but her fair-weather friend was going to pay her dearly, oh she was!

She then sighed and splashed some cold water on her face, but when she went to dry off, she couldn't find a towel. She went back to her room and looked in a drawer for a towel, but instead, she found an old Goku t-shirt that had been left behind.

She froze as she looked at the garment in her hands and her heart squeezed.

Oh, who was she kidding? The only reason she boozed up the night before was to forget about the stupid image of Goku that insisted on penetrating her mind night and day, especially the day before since it was their anniversary date!

And the worst part was that while she was bitter, sad, and depressed because she was remembering their wedding anniversary date and heartbroken that they were no longer together, Goku probably didn't even remember that that date supposedly had an important meaning for them! Which ended up making her angry too.

And that was it! That was the necessary combo for her to do something stupid like drink herself to death and sing a cheesy song at a karaoke bar full of strangers, all in an attempt to forget her idiotic husband's stupid smile.

Husband...

Chichi sighed.

Ex-husband, actually.

The weight of that word hit her violently every time she thought about it. Her Goku was no longer hers. They were no longer together, and not because he was dead, but by his own decision.

She tried, but she couldn't hold back the tears that welled up in her eyes, but then she heard a knock on her bedroom door and a voice calling her: “Mom, are you there? May I come in?”

“Yes, sure, dear!”

The door opened just as Chichi closed the drawer and Gohan entered the room saying: “Mom, Eighteen's there...” he stopped suddenly when he realized that something was wrong with her. “Are you all right?”

“Huh? Of course, honey, everything's fine yes! Eighteen's here, you said?” she dismissed as fast as she could, Gohan was good at picking up on the nuances of her emotions.

“Yes, she's in the living room...” Gohan replied, still uncertain about his mother's answer.

“Oh, okay then, thanks honey, I'll go talk to her!” Smiled Chichi and left the room, leaving behind her thoughts and daydreams about her failed marriage.

Gohan still stood in the room watching his mother walk out the door. He then turned and peered at the drawer she had closed, knowing it was something related to his father. It had to be.

He didn't understand why his parents broke up. He knew why, they had explained it to him and also to Goten, but he couldn't understand it. He could see, it was clear how much his parents loved each other. Chichi was crazy about her father and Goku worshipped her. So why couldn't they see that too? Why couldn't they get it right?

Frustrated, he rubbed his hand through his hair. He just hoped that one day they would finally get back together.

Chichi, in turn, headed for the living room where she found her friend standing there looking bored.

“Hi, Eighteen!”

“Oh, hi Chichi! Come here, shouldn't Gohan be with his father today?”

“Oh yes, but he has a date with Videl later and decided to come home a little early.” replied Chichi. “Anyway, what are you doing here? Is everything okay?”

“Yes I am, I just came to return the cell phone that you left with me yesterday!” said the android, taking out Chichi's cell phone from inside her small purse. “But I should be asking you, are you okay? Because last night... wow!”

Chichi huffed and violently pulled the cell phone from the blonde's hand.

“Arrg! How could you let me sing, Eighteen? You're supposed to be my friend and not let me embarrass myself!”

“And you think I could hold you back?” snickered the android. “But I filmed your performance, don't worry, I'll send it to you later!”

“You are worthless!”

Eighteen laughed again and tossed his hair to the side, debauched.

“My friend, singing was the least of yesterday's problems!”

“What?” Chichi squinted. Damned drink that had made her get amnesia.

“You got real waist, Chichi, after you came off the stage! It was crazy! I filmed everything, by the way!”

“What? You have got to be kidding me!”

“Hun-hun!” she denied with her head while smiling mischievously. Chichi put both hands to her face, not knowing where to hide her face from such shame.

“Oh, my! What have I done?!”

“Relax Chichi, everyone goes through this someday! You know I've had my moments too!” Eighteen reached out to support her. “The important thing is that we had fun!”

Chichi couldn't help but give an empathetic smile. From what little she remembered of the evening, it had been really fun.

“Yeah, but now I have a horrible hangover!” she grumbled and looked at her cell phone, which was full of notifications from an app she didn't know about. “What's it?”

“Oh, you don't remember?” asked the blonde as she looked at Chichi's cell phone screen, making sure of what she was talking about. “Wow, that was back when you hadn't even had tequila yet. I thought you would remember!”

“Finder? What the hell is that?”

“Well, it's a dating app that you signed up for!”

“A dating app? B-but what do you mean?”

She knew what a dating app was, but had never done one before. Chichi opened the app and was faced with several notifications, such as:

‘Devoted_lover liked your profile’

‘BigFatCock liked your profile’

‘Dr.Dick liked your profile’

‘Hot_Guy liked your profile’

And for each of them a button where she could mark: 'like back' or 'reject'.

“Hm, wow, this one looks promising, huh!” Eighteen scoffed when she read another notification that had just popped up:

"Naughty_pussy_eater liked your profile"

Chichi felt her cheeks heat up violently. She couldn't believe those obscene nicknames!

“My Kami!” she opened her mouth in shock. “How do I check my nickname?” she sounded desperate, if she couldn't even remember making that profile, how can she be sure she didn't use a nickname as perverted as…

“Relax, your profile is very coherent. Look!” Eighteen helped her to open the screen with Chichi's profile where the nickname was: ‘LadyMilk’.

“Whew! And how do I delete this?”

“Delete? Why delete?”

“Are you crazy? I can't use an online dating app!”

“And why not? Take the opportunity to meet someone, woman, since you refuse to give your phone number to the men who always hit on you at the bar.” Eighteen rolled her blue eyes and tucked her hair behind her ears. “You're the one who said you wanted to forget about Goku! This is your chance!”

“I-I-I don't know...” Chichi stammered, uncertain. Not about the app itself, but about getting involved with someone else, opening herself up to meet other men. She hadn't done that even when Goku had been dead for seven years. She didn't know if she would have the courage to do that now...

“Oh, Chichi, come on, enough of it!” Eighteen shouted. She wasn't a patient woman, and seeing that Chichi was still stuck with her ex made her slightly annoyed.

She believed that Chichi deserved to be happy, and as much as she admired the princess' love and devotion to the warrior – even after his death – she believed it was time for her to move on. She even understood Chichi refusing to get involved with anyone during the seven years of Goku's death, because she still felt married to him, even as a widow, there was still a bond and a commitment, but now... now it was gone.

The android, like any good friend, had to pick up Chichi's pieces for a long time after their break up, because she was the only friend Chichi would open up to, so she knew how much her friend was suffering and how much she needed to get over that breakup.

“Chichi, you were the one who said you wanted to forget about him, you were the one who asked me for the phone number of a lawyer to start the divorce proceedings that you didn't even contact, by the way, did you?”

Chichi's shoulders slumped in defeat, Eighteen was right. She had to file for divorce or there would never be an end to it. But she didn't dare to do that, she didn't have the courage to put an end to it. Goku had been her first love, her first man, and she had dedicated so many years of her life to him. Doing that was like giving up on her dream, her dream of love, the dream she had cherished since she was a child.

“I know, I know... I just... I don't think I'm ready to take this step yet!” Chichis squeezed the fabric of her clothes between her fingers.

Android Eighteen rolled her eyes.

“My friend, I understand, but it's been almost a year since your break up, it's time for you to forget him. You're a mother, but you're still a woman, you're young and beautiful, don't waste your time suffering because of a man, go live, go be happy! You deserve it! And don't worry, I won't tell anyone that you are starting to move on, not even Krillin. When you're ready, you'll tell. Tell your kids, tell your father...” Eighteen complemented, for she knew that Chichi didn't like Goku to know about her life, she was rather proud in this aspect.

Chichi looked once more at the app in her hand and then at her friend who was smiling in a way that encouraged her.

Maybe she should give it a chance...

Apparently, the conversation with Krillin had had some positive effect on the warrior, who, after realizing how much he was decaying, tried to get his life together. He still wasn't completely well, but he was doing better. In fact, he owed it to his children, who were devastated to see him in that situation every time they went to visit him. So he cleaned up the mess in the house, threw away the old and musty futon and bought a new one, bought beds so that the boys would have a decent place to sleep when they went there – and not in sleeping bags as they were doing before – and a TV for Goten to watch cartoons.

He had plenty of money that he had received from Mr. Satan as a prize for defeating Kid Boo. He had said that Chichi could keep everything, after all, she got the boys and needed much more than he did, as he could live with just the basics, but she refused, she kept a small part that she thought was necessary for Goten's education and for a few more basic things for the half-sayan and the rest remained with him. But Goku didn't need it all, although he didn't have much to do, he couldn't win an argument against her, so he just saved the rest of the money for when it was needed.

A few weeks had passed since Goku had created his profile on Finder, which he hadn't paid much attention to after his friend left. He even looked at some profiles, but nothing that caught his attention, and he found it boring, so after a few minutes he dropped it. Anyway, Goku had no interest in meeting women online. He had no interest in meeting any other women, in fact.

Yet there he was, with his cell phone in his hands and looking at the profiles that appeared to him. He had a frown on his face and a sullen scowl.

All this because, during his son's last visit, he had heard something that did not make him very happy.

“How's your mother?”

This was a curiosity that he always had and once in a while he questioned it. Gohan ended up running away from the answer, he had already tried to intervene in their matter before, but it ended up making things worse, so he preferred to leave it to the two of them to resolve themselves, so in general, he answered that Chichi was fine or okay. Goten, on the other hand, perhaps because of his innocence and naivety, was more sincere and talked a little more.

“Okay, I guess.” he answered without taking his eyes off his father's cell phone. “She and Mrs. Eighteen was going out for a walk in a fancy place, I guess, since Mom was wearing that outfit.”

“Which outfit?”

“She was wearing a dress, just like the clothes Mrs. Bulma wears!” replied the little one. Goku arched an eyebrow. “Mrs. Eighteen said that mommy looked beautiful and hmmm... she still got it... hmmm... that she should wear that outfit with... on a date.”

“What?”

Goku startled.

Did he hear right? Was Chichi... was she... was she going out on dates?

He frowned, becoming suddenly irritated.

“Daddy, what is a date?” asked Goten innocently. “Is it that kissy-kissy stuff Gohan and Videl do?”

That left Goku on the verge of turning into a super sayan. He couldn't believe that Chichi was going out on dates, that she was going out with other people! He thought that maybe, who knows, they still had a chance. Deep down he still had a little hope. But knowing that his ex-wife was moving on made him extremely uneasy.

Goten pulled him by the shirt bar and Goku shook his head, trying not to punch the wall of the house.

“No, son! It's just a... a... meeting between adults!” replied the sayan nervously, then pulled the cell phone from his son's hand, saying “Now give me that.”

“Hey, but I'm playing!” protested the younger one.

“It's time for your bath!” affirmed Goku with a scowl.

“Awww...” Goten pouted, his father wasn't one to pick on this kind of thing so much and sometimes even let him stay without a bath, but he obeyed anyway and went out grumbling. “I can't wait to have my own cell phone...”

The sayan waited for his son to leave the room, then opened the Finder and started looking at the profiles that appeared in recent notifications.

If Chichi was going out on dates, so would he.

Goku was not happy at all to hear that Chichi was dating other guys, that she was going out on dates, that she was... moving on. The mere image of his ex going out with others was too much for his mind that he couldn't even imagine it without feeling anger.

And jealousy too.

A lot of jealousy.

And that was all very unfair! For it was Chichi who had thrown him out of the house. He was there, suffering and dreaming that they could still get back together, while she moved on and even started seeing other men. Why did he have to be such an idiot and think that they still had a chance? Why did he have to be so innocent and naive to think that maybe she still loved him?

Argh! he grumbled mentally. Maybe he was even more frustrated that he couldn't find anyone interesting on that damn app he had been looking at for days. All the profiles that appeared to him or that he liked were completely dull from the descriptions. He didn't feel the slightest desire to meet or at least start a conversation with any of those women.

'Blonde, green eyes, 21 years old.... '

Too young. Dear Kami! He wasn't looking for a child to raise!

'Bluenette, black eyes, 36 years old.... '

Mehh! he had never been into blue-haired women.

'Red hair, brown eyes, 30 years old, vegetarian...'

Vegetarian? That would never work!

It would never work. He would never find an interesting woman in his life again. He couldn't stand to look at that application anymore. He was about to give up and accept that he was destined to be alone for the rest of his life on earth, UNTIL finally, a profile caught his attention...

She was already somewhat recovered from her last meltdown, for as much as she had gotten used to being without Goku for seven years, after his return she had kind of unlearned how to live without him as if those seven years had actually been seven days. Then after he had left home again, she felt it all over again. And it was even worse knowing that he was alive this time and living only a few meters away from where she was.

Her cell phone then rang, bringing her out of her thoughts that were preventing her from concentrating on the movie she was supposed to be watching. She picked it up and saw on the screen a notification from the Finder app that made her roll her eyes.

“I thought I had already disabled the notifications on this thing!” she grumbled to herself, but then realized that it was not an app alert notification, but a notification to update the app.

She shrugged and threw her cell phone aside, ignoring it. Since she had no interest in using with it, there would be no point in updating it.

However, another question permeated her mind: why hadn't she deleted it yet? Maybe she should have done that already the very day she had found out that she had created that profile, but she hadn't, for some reason she had left it there, just deactivated and ignored.

She picked up her cell phone again and went straight to the delete button, but before she could do that, she bit her lip, uncertain. Should she really delete it? Should she not even look at the profiles there? Should she not start considering a new relationship?

But after so many years... She didn't know if she'd be ready to get involved with someone again. So many years of her life had been dedicated to Goku and the love she felt for him, how could she get involved with someone else? She hadn't been able to do that even when he was dead. She felt as if it was wrong, as if she was betraying him.

But then, a memory of an afternoon, when she was at her android friend's house, came to her mind.

She had taken Goten to play with Marron. What she hadn't counted on was encountering the unpleasant presence of Oolong there. That shameless, cretinous pig.

“So, Chichi, how are the dates going?” asked debauchedly the pig, who was sitting on a beach chair next to Chichi and Eighteen, who were sitting at a small table while watching their children playing in the water.

“What?”

“Well, are you telling me that you are not seeing anyone? Because if you're not, you're wasting your time. I heard that Goku has been going out with Yamcha. You know, YAMCHA! His only single friend!” The black eyes stared at her shrewdly. “What do you think they went out to do? To talk about martial arts moves and techniques? Of course not! They went out to pick up women! And the worst is that they didn't even call me! Jerks!”

“Oolong!” Eighteen glared at him.

“I don't think Goku is like that.”

Oolong laughed.

“He might not have been like that when you got married! But now things have changed, right, he's a grown man, single, he's the type to attract women's looks, and most importantly, he's a man!!!” Punctuated the pig. “As much as he has no intention of going out to get women, he is still going out with Yamcha, as I said, his only single friend. Of course, Yamcha will want to take advantage of his company to attract women, and do you really think that there won't be some that won't hit on him, that he won't like the attention, that he won't want something? You are being an idiot if you're not taking advantage of your situation to go out with other men as well...”

Chichi lowered her eyes, a bitter taste of bile in her mouth as her stomach churned. She hadn't even had anything to drink that afternoon except tea, but that mental image of Goku flirting with other women or giving in to their charms, whatever, was something her mind wasn't able to handle very well.

“If you think that this can't happen, then you're much naiver than I thought. Really!”

“Oolong, shut up!” shouted the android who was fed up with that unwanted visitor, who just ignored her. “Who invited you here anyway?”

“Your husband!” retorted the pig, without an ounce of remorse.

“Uhh, remind me to kill Krillin later!” she said to Chichi, but then threw a deadly glare at Oolong, who kept quiet, afraid of being killed by the android.

Chichi sighed. It was painful to think about the failure of her marriage. It was hard to move on, especially since she still loved Goku. However, the sayan obviously didn't feel the same way anymore, since he had left home. He was the one who had left her, and now he was living his life as if their marriage had never meant anything.

She swung her leg and bit her lower lip. Enough of that, if Goku had already forgotten her – which probably should have happened long ago – she would forget him too.

Chichi then decided to give the app a chance, opened it, and started to check the notifications that were pending. There were only boring, dull and lame profiles. She looked at each notification one by one, and there were many, but she refused them all. At each new nickname, at each description, she made a face, none of them seemed to be compatible with her, until she arrived at a specific notification that had arrived for her about 2 hours ago.

‘Mr.Carrot’

The name alone drew some attention since most of them were ridiculous and obscene names, but the profile was something that really attracted her.

'Dark hair, black eyes, 38 years old, divorced.

Height: 5′ 9″

Hobbies: spending time with my two children, physical activities, and gastronomy.'

Chichi suddenly found herself smiling.

That Mr. Carrot guy looked promising.

Goku opened his eyes when he felt the vibration of his phone on his abdomen. He had fallen asleep after looking at so many profiles on that app.

He then checked the notification on the screen and smiled.

'LadyMilk liked your profile. Would you like to start a conversation?'

Notes:

Just to be clear: I don't believe that a breakup/divorce between Goku and Chi-Chi can happen in any way, ever, ever! But here I created this scenario to favor a crazy idea I had, since I didn't want to do something in an alternate universe, but in the original.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing!

Chapter 2: Move On

Notes:

This chapter is for day 4 of GoChi Week.
Theme: Over the waves

Chapter Text

'Do Carrots and Milk go together?'

That had been the first message he had sent to Lady Milk, and Goku couldn't believe that that silly phrase had actually received a response. He didn't know how to flirt, well, not exactly with strange people, since he used to flirt with Chichi even when they were married, but still, it was different.

He muttered contentedly as soon as he received a new notification on his cell phone while flying over the ocean waves as he returned from a visit to Master Roshi's house.

The two of them had been talking for over a month and he couldn't believe that he had actually managed to find an interesting woman through the Finder application. He looked at many, many profiles, and nothing caught his attention. He found them all boring and dull until he found hers. Only Lady Milk's, and that was the only one he had been talking to since then. It was amazing how much they had in common, and that was what had drawn Goku's attention to her profile from the beginning, the similarities they had with his own.

Like him, she was divorced – although he wasn't yet properly divorced, as nothing had been made official until then. She had two children, still kids, it seemed, while he had two too, but one child and a young adult. She liked to practice Pilates, which he had discovered after a while had to do with exercises for the body and mind, so it was also something very close to martial arts – whose information had been changed to ‘physical activities’, because Krillin claimed that the term ‘martial arts’ could refer to an aggressive profile and this wouldn't sound very good to him. Goku didn't care and let his friend do as he pleased, he certainly knew about this much more than he did. Another thing she liked was cooking, and he, being the legitimate sayan as he was, loved to eat, so it was already something else in common.

During the conversations they had, they got to know each other a little more, getting to know a little about their lives, but always in a very subtle way, so that very personal information was not revealed, such as names, residence, etc. He also didn't reveal that he was an alien who came from another planet as a child, who used to have a tail and could transform into a giant ape, or even transform into a super sayan (one, two, and three!). These details he decided to omit, Krillin had advised him that he shouldn't go around talking about it, because, besides being something that could link him to his true identity, it was something that could scare people away, and his previous experiences proved that many humans could react negatively to it. Goku eventually agreed with him, because, again, his friend had more knowledge about this sort of thing than he did. Of course, sooner or later he would have to reveal it, but it wasn't time yet. They were just getting to know each other.

Goku answered her message and closed his eyes briefly, feeling the wind hit his face and the sound of the ocean waves relaxing him. And so he allowed his mind to travel freely and imagined how Lady Milk would look like. At first, he saw her from her back, a beautiful silhouette, strong legs and arms, her hair black and straight, her skin fair, smooth, delicate. Then he began to imagine her from the front, thick thighs, a thin waist, a large bust, and finally, her face, her black eyes, her thin nose, and her pink lips. He imagined every bit of her and his mind delighted in the creation of that image, which unconsciously took shape, a more concrete, more real shape. He smiled slightly before widening his astonished eyes.

It was Chichi!

Chichi was who he was imagining.

Damn it! he sighed, frustrated. He was still unable to imagine another woman, to feel desire or attraction for any other woman. Chichi still dominated his mind and, honestly, his heart. And he didn't really know if it'd ever be different. He still thought about his ex a lot, basically every single day. And his heart still squeezed deep in his chest every time. He still loved Chichi and believed that it would be impossible to ever stop loving her.

He closed his eyes tightly again, his heart beating hard, racing, clenching in his chest. He still couldn't believe that Chichi had put him out of the house. Did she really not love him anymore? Well... seven years was a long time... But he had never stopped loving her during that time, never stopped thinking about Chichi. She had always been his safe haven.

After coming back to life and returning to his family, Goku thought that things could just go back to normal, but he couldn't have been more wrong. There were wounds, deep wounds that he had caused. He knew that he had made Chichi suffer deeply, but apparently, he had no dimension of how much.

It was hard for him to recognize that he was the one who was hurting her, that he was the one causing all the suffering that she, that their family had been through.

Chichi was certainly better off without him...

And as much as he hated it, he needed to accept that. Accept it and move on, forget about her, and try to be happy again. Even if he still felt connected with her, even if it felt a little bit wrong to keep talking to another woman. But Chichi was already moving on. It was his turn.

And, perhaps, Lady Milk was his way...

It was both odd and exciting. Goku had never been interested in any woman until he married Chichi, and from then on she became his object of desire. But at that moment when they were no longer together, no longer married, he could feel some interest to meet this Lady Milk personally. He felt like at the beginning of his marriage, when he was discovering all those feelings and sensations that Chichi had awakened in him. The butterflies in his stomach every time a new message came from Lady Milk, the anxiety to send a reply, the excitement when they spent hours in the middle of the night talking about trivialities.

He hoped that he would soon be able to meet her in person.

The conversations were getting deeper and deeper and more and more intimate and it was already becoming difficult not to reveal too much information about her personal life. Chichi was still afraid of talking too much about her and putting herself or her family at risk. How many cases had she heard of men seducing women over the Internet and then doing terrible things to them? This was no joke, she knew, but it was getting more and more complicated and, for some strange reason, she felt an unusual trust in Mr. Carrot. Even though she had never seen his face or even known his name.

Chichi bit his lower lip. How could he? He knew almost nothing about that man's life! All their conversations were about things they did or had done, discussed ideas, and tastes, and talked about things that were happening in the world, and things that had happened in the past. Of course, Chichi omitted that she herself had been involved in many of the events that had happened on Earth, like her son being the real winner of the Cell tournament, even with Mr. Satan taking all the credit – and the money. Nor had she revealed that her children were two hybrids, since their father was a sayan alien and the most powerful man on earth. How could she? It would scare Mr. Carrot! Who would want to get involved with a woman whose ex was the strongest guy in the world?!

That's right, NONE!

Anyway, they had been talking for two months and she knew very little about the man's life, who he really was. He had said that he didn't have a job, and although this had discouraged her at first, he commented that he had enough money that he had earned from his last job. Enough to live quietly for a few years and provide for his children's education – and that was where he had won her back again. She also didn't know the reason for his divorce, but neither did she reveal hers. How could she? Would she say that her ex-husband was dead for seven years, then came back to life, tried to pick up where they left off, but couldn't? How would she explain to him that her ex had come back to life? She couldn't talk about the dragon ball, just like that, as if they were something simple. So she was leaving these details out, but she knew that sooner or later, if things developed, she'd have to tell him the truth.

She knew that he had no father or mother, that he was raised by his grandfather, and she had also revealed that she never had a mother, only a father, but she had also not mentioned that she was the Fry-Pan princess and that her father was the powerful and fearsome (no longer) Ox King. She knew that he had two children, but didn't know how old they were, and that he apparently loved them and enjoyed spending time with them, which was something she valued very much. He seemed to be a good father.

Chichi took a deep breath. There was a part of her that wanted to get to know Mr. Carrot in more depth, but there was another one, a large part of her, that felt she was betraying Goku. After all, they hadn't even made their divorce official yet and she was already there, talking to another man, openly flirting with another man.

However, she knew she was being silly, that Goku was already moving on. She knew it would happen, after all, he didn't love her anymore. How naive she had been to think that he still loved her after all this time, that they could go back to living as a family together, that they would be happy again... She had really believed that those seven years had not changed his feelings for her, but she couldn't have been more wrong.

It didn't take long for Goku to decide that they should split up, but who was she kidding? It was obvious that this would happen. Goku had spent the last seven years free, in the other world, training, fighting, doing what he loved most, how could he still be there, in that house, stuck with her? He was a free spirit, always had been, and she... she was just holding him back, she was a burden in his life. It was obvious that Goku would realize this soon and would want his freedom back, so he decided to leave her for good.

But she still loved him, loved him with all her strength, with every cell in her body, and she would always love him. Forever. Until the end of her life. She had no doubt about that. He was the father of her children, her first love, and that was not something that could be erased.

However, she needed to move on, she couldn't keep holding on to that feeling forever, or she would never be happy again. If Goku chose to move on, as he apparently was moving on, then she should too, and she couldn't feel guilty about it, for going after her happiness.

Soon her cell phone rang with another reply message from Mr. Carrot:

'I really like talking to you!'

Her heart soared and butterflies fluttered inside her stomach. How could that mysterious man cause that kind of reaction in her? The only one who had been able to do this until then was only Goku. Not even in all those years of widowhood did she want to go out with other men, she didn't even look at other men, she ignored the compliments she received, the looks, the comments from some perverted guys, the advances from the brave ones, she ignored all the other notifications and profiles that liked her profile on the app.

And then she was there, chatting by messages with that stranger, the one who had caught her attention, feeling as if she were a teenager again, leaning to love. She promptly answered his message, confessing that she also really enjoyed talking to him, even though she still knew him so little.

The answer that came back surprised her:

'I’d like to meet you in person, what do you say?'

She bit her lower lip, uncertain. Should she? They knew each other so little and for such a short time.

However, she had married Goku without practically knowing him either, hadn't she?

So... why not...?

Goku looked in the mirror once again, checking on his look. He had never been one to care much about his appearance, however, past experiences with Chichi had made him understand that for dating he needed to dress well and couldn't wear his training gi, even though that was what he preferred to wear most of the time.

He was wearing a white dress shirt, but no tie, because he didn't like that thing tightening around his neck, dark gray dress pants, and black shoes. He had asked Krillin to help him choose a nice outfit for him and a nice place where he could take Lady Milk for dinner, and his bald friend had promptly helped him. He took a shower, shaved, and put on some perfume.

I was ready to meet her.

His heart, however, was restless. As much as he enjoyed talking to Lady Milk and was curious to meet her in person, he was still far from forgetting Chichi, and going on a date with a woman other than her was awkward and seemed, in a way, wrong.

But he tried not to focus on that at that moment. He was only going out to meet someone he was chatting with virtually, it didn't mean they were going to have anything – yet. And, at worst, he would eat well, because that restaurant had good food and he could become friends with the woman. He was good at making friends.

However, he really hoped that this meeting could be the missing trigger for his heart to open up again. Things between him and Chichi were over, they had barely spoken since their separation and it would probably continue that way, so he needed to move on. He had good feelings about this woman.

Goku then took a confident look at himself through his reflection in the mirror and nodded. It was time to move on!

Chichi got out of her house and walked to the cab dressed in her most beautiful dark blue evening dress. Her hair was in a side braid with a few loose scrunchies in front, she was wearing light make-up, black high heels, and a black handbag. Modesty aside, she was feeling very beautiful and Eighteen had confirmed that this look was dressed to kill.

She checked her cell phone one last time, making sure there was no message from Mr. Carrot saying that he had already arrived, and since there was nothing, she assumed he wasn't there yet. She took a step forward, but hesitated, unsure if she should go through with it. She was going to a restaurant to meet a mysterious man she had met on the internet. That didn't seem quite right. The man could be a bandit, a criminal, or a murderer! Well, it couldn't be anything she couldn't handle either, after all, she could still defend herself and fight very well. Sure, she wasn't as strong as Goku and his other friends or sons, but she could beat Goten to a pulp until he transformed into a super sayan, and her son wasn't the least bit weak in base form, she believed she could handle this guy if he was, in fact, a pervert.

Anyway, she was halfway there, she had already made the appointment, and now it was too late to give up. Or not? He wasn't in there yet. She could turn around, dismiss the cab and make up some excuse. Or not! Just disappear, don't answer any more questions. He didn't know who she was, after all.

Chichi bit her lip and closed her eyes. How had she gotten herself into this situation? She had arranged that date with him weeks ago, and what had seemed like something so far away had come so fast that she could barely process it. She had arranged everything. Since that weekend was not for Goku to be with his children, she had asked Eighteen to help take care of Goten, after all, she was the only one who knew about these arrangements of hers with Mr. Carrot and she'd prefer it to stay that way. As for Gohan, he was big enough to stay home alone, although he had a date with Videl too, and wouldn't be home until the next day. She shook her head staggering the thoughts. She just hoped her son was taking care of himself!

Armed with courage, Chichi decided to go ahead and enter the cab. She had nothing left to lose! Her Goku was no longer hers. She was already a separated woman.

It was time to get back to living her life.

She had been greeted by an employee right at the entrance of the restaurant and gave her name, as the employee found no one who had mentioned that was waiting for her, he took her to one of the free tables inside the restaurant.

Chichi followed the young man, nervously, her heart in her mouth and her hands sweating. Her eyes looked for quick exits, in case it was necessary to escape or run away.

“Here you are, Mrs. Son! Please, make yourself comfortable and the waiter will be right with you!” said the attendant, who pointed to a free table for her to sit at. She was not yet divorced, hence the use of her married name.

She smiled and thanked him, but when she went to sit down and the attendant had finally left her field of vision, her eyes quickly caught an image.

Her heart leaped, raced, and she almost had a heart attack!

Right at the front table was her ex!

“Goku????”

“Chichi???”

Chapter 3: Blind Date

Notes:

For the 5th day of GoChi Week.
Theme: Sweet name that made my heart

Chapter Text

Both of them widened their eyes at the same instant. Goku rubbed both eyes making sure of what he was seeing. Nervous and anxious about the upcoming date, he had not paid attention to the familiar KI that was approaching the restaurant.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, her tone slightly irritated. “Are you following me, by any chance?”

“Of course not!” the warrior defended himself.

Chichi crossed her arms and wrinkled her nose as she noticed Goku's outfit. What was he doing there in that restaurant and all dressed up?

“Why are you here then?”

“I'm waiting for someone!” he replied smugly.

Chichi grunted and gritted her teeth. He was on a date!!! On a fucking date! She felt her anger rise and her blood boil, her urge was to punch him in the face – and whoever he was expecting. But there was nothing she could do, after all, she was there for a date too.

Goku half smiled. He could feel Chichi's KI rising and saw a vein almost popping out of her forehead. He knew she was jealous, he knew Chichi like no one else! And for some reason, he found that slightly satisfying.

Not wanting to stay behind, she retorted:

“Oh yeah? well, I'm waiting for someone too!”

His smile faded at the same instant.

She was also on a date. That explained her outfit and her elaborate look, which, by the way, was stunningly beautiful – even if he thought she didn't need any of it – and that was Goku's turn to clench his fists and control his anger.

Chichi took the seat at the front table and picked up the menu, placing it in front of his face, avoiding looking at Goku, however, she chose that position so that she could see who the skank he was going to meet with was. As Goku stared at the cover of the menu that Chichi was holding, just thinking of a thousand ways to kill the guy who was going to meet her there. If that man was thinking that he would get his hands on his precious Chichi, he was very wrong.

The waiter then approached Goku's table and asked him if he wanted to order already or if he would wait a little longer for his company to arrive, and that's when the sayan realized that Lady Milk was due to arrive at any moment. The warrior had dropped his cell phone on the floor when he got to the table, and when he went to send a message to the woman, telling her that he had arrived, he noticed that the device was not in his pocket. That was when he crouched down to retrieve the phone, and in the meantime, Chichi had arrived, distracting him from having completed his task of telling Lady Milk that he was already at the restaurant.

The warrior told the waiter that he would wait a few more moments, even though his stomach was already starting to complain of hunger – he hoped she would not be so long – and then sent her a message.

Chichi's cell phone rang, waking her from her reverie about the person who might be going to meet Goku. She tried not to look at him, but eventually lowered the menu a little to catch his gaze, which seemed not to shift away from her. Then she saw the notification from Mr. Carrot saying that he had already arrived and that's when she remembered the man she was supposed to meet. And if before she wasn't too worried about his appearance, after seeing Goku there, she hoped he was the most beautiful man on earth, just to rub it in her ex's face!

Goku arched an eyebrow as he read Lady Milk's reply that said she had already arrived at the restaurant and was waiting for him. He wondered where she was.

'where are you?'

Chichi found the question odd because she had left word at the restaurant's reception desk that she was waiting for a person named Mr. Carrot, so she imagined that the attendant would guide the man to the table where she was as soon as he arrived.

'I'm at the back of the restaurant!'

Goku made a confused face. He was also at the back of the restaurant, but there was no one there who could be the woman he had been meeting. All the other tables, apart from Chichi's, were occupied with other couples, family, or groups of friends. Where could she be?

'me too!'

Chichi scratched her head. The whole blind date thing was really complicated. Maybe it would be better to say how she was dressed so that the man could recognize her!

'I'm wearing a blue dress. How are you dressed?'

'I'm wearing a white shirt!'

Chichi and Goku simultaneously looked around to try to find the person who fits that description and partially got up from their seats, until their gazes crossed and a click hit them.

Chichi's jaw dropped and Goku's eyes widened.

She blinked a few times, disbelieving in what was happening.

“No, no, no, no, no, no!”

“You!!!!” Goku pointed at her. “You are Lady Milk?!?”

“Oh, no! How?” Chichi put her hands up to her face. “How? My Kami?! How is that possible?!”

Goku was stunned. Speechless. So the woman he had been talking to all these days was none other than his ex-wife? Chichi?

A half smile was forming on his lips.

That was...

It was...

“A DISASTER!” grumbled Chichi, loudly. “You did that on purpose, didn't you? You pretended to be Mr. Carrot to trick me, to make a fool of me!”

“What?” Goku widened his eyes, terrified. “Of course not!”

“Argh! How could I have been so stupid?!”

Feeling humiliated, angry, annoyed, and frustrated, Chichi marched to the exit of the restaurant. Suddenly all the things making sense. Everything they had talked about. The fact that he claimed to be divorced! The fact that he was an orphan raised by his grandfather! The fact that he doesn't work, but has money to support his children! The fact that he liked to talk so much about physical exercises that she then understood were martial arts training! Him liking gastronomy, when in fact what he really liked was EATING, because he was a fucking sayan!!!!

All those things, when they talked, as similar to Goku as they seemed, she still thought it was something common. There were many people who had no parents and were raised by grandparents. There were many men who were divorced, who didn't work, who liked to exercise... At no time had it ever crossed her mind that it could be Goku! But all, ALL the clues were there from the beginning. She had been stupid enough not to notice, not to see. Or she had been too naive to ignore all those signs, trying not to associate the man with her ex, trying not to see Goku in him, when in fact they were the same person all along.

“Chichi, wait!” Goku shouted as he went after her, confused by the events, but then he realized that he had given his real name to the clerk when he arrived at the restaurant and warned that he was waiting for someone, but had not said the name. He was very layman about this dating stuff.

Chichi ignored it and kept walking away. She wanted to get as far away from there as possible. She wanted to disappear!

“Chichi!” he pulled her by the shoulder, holding her and making her turn towards him. “Hold on!”

“What do you want, Goku? Isn't it enough that you made a fool of me? What more do you want?”

“But I... Chichi!” Goku felt his heart tighten at her accusatory words. “I didn't do anything! I didn't know you were Lady Milk!”

“Yes, you did! You knew all the time! You must have... I don't know, hacked my account and... and...”

“Hack-what?” Goku asked. “Chichi I didn't even know what a cell phone was until a year ago, do you really think that I, look at me” he pointed at himself giving emphasis to his sentence “I would have set something up to chase you through a cell phone app?”

Chichi crossed her arms and snorted. He had a good point.

“Don't lie to me, Goku!!!”

“And have I ever lied?” He looked at her sweetly. Her heart was beating fast.

Chichi shut up for a moment and pouted, grumpily. Why did this have to be happening? Just when she thought she could find a good man and forget about Goku.

“Well, you have been lying these past days!”

“What? How?”

“Well, you said you were divorced!”

“You said you were too!” Goku retorted, making Chichi even angrier. “And you said you had two children! But Gohan is an adult!”

“He's my baby, okay?!”

“Chichi, at his age, you and I were already married!” Goku pointed out, chuckling.

“It doesn't matter!” Chichi ignored the fact that he had mentioned their marriage, which caused a slight pain in her chest, and continued “He'll always be my baby!”

Goku cast an empathetic glance at her. He knew that from her point of view, her children would always be Chichi's babies, regardless of their age.

An uncomfortable silence hung for a second as the two avoided eye contact until they laughed at that comical situation. Then Chichi said: “I'll call a cab to go away...”

“I'll... I'll take ya!”

“You don't have to.”

“We'll fly, it's going to be quick and I'm already going the same way anyway.”

“Can't you just teleport?”

“You know I need to have a KI at the place where I'm going to teleport. Is there someone at home? Goten or Gohan?”

“No...”

“Well, I can drop you off wherever they are.”

“NO!” Chichi quickened in denial, as she didn't want her children to know that she had gone out on a date, plus suddenly teleporting with Goku might be awkward. She sighed and then agreed with his suggestion. “Okay, we can go flying.”

Goku smiled and then held her in his lap, bride-style, startling her briefly, but then she wrapped her arms around his neck. The sayan looked up at her, whose face was mere inches away from his face and their breaths colliding. His heart pounded hard as he switched his gaze from her shimmering black pearls to her ajar lips. Chichi felt her face instantly warm with that intense gaze and the feeling of being once again in his strong arms, but she turned her head to the side quickly, clearing her throat. Goku felt a slight disappointment because one more second in that glancing game and he'd have done something crazy.

The sayan then flew up with Chichi in his arms, who leaned against his chest as she was carried through the air.

“And what's all that stuff about gastronomy and exercise?” Chichi mocked, recalling the profile he described in the app.

“Well... Krillin who helped me put it together, I didn't pay that much attention, I thought he knew what's better...” replied Goku with a beaming smile. “What about you and that Pilates thing?”

“Why, I have been practicing Pilates for years!”

“And how come I never knew that?”

“Well, it's just that, actually, I started this after your second death” she revealed. “After you came back, things changed a bit in our routine that I ended up putting aside. It was only after… after a while that I picked up again.”

Goku nodded, realizing that she had avoided mentioning that it was after their separation. There were a lot of unspoken things between them and a lot of things unclear, but they could never talk in a civilized manner. After the first argument, there were more and more, which eventually led to a series of fights that only stopped a few months after the breakup, and that was because they had stopped talking to each other completely. This was the first time they had seen each other in a few months and had talked without fighting.

“You look very beautiful tonight,” revealed Goku, suddenly. Chichi stared at him in surprise, her heart pounding in her chest. “Not that you aren't on daily basis, but… what I mean is well… lucky the men you are dating.”

“What? I'm not seeing other men, Goku! Where did ya get this idea?”

“You're not?”

“No," Chichi replied annoyed, her face with an angry expression that Goku always found cute. “That would be the first time I'd ever gone out on a date!” she revealed, a little embarrassed.

“But... Goten said you were.”

“Goten said what?”

“I mean, he didn't exactly say that you were seeing other men.” Goku laughed nervously. “But he did mention that Eighteen said you should dress nicely for your dates.”

“She...” Chichi shook her head and snorted. “It was nothing like that, Goku! She was the one who kept insisting that I should start going out on dates and always said that some of my clothes could be worn on a date, but that was it.”

“Is that so?” Goku arched his eyebrows and smiled. “That's great!”

Chichi frowned. Great? Why did he think it was great?

“Was that the outfit Goten was talking about then?”

“Huh? No! This outfit was my choice. Eighteen only gave her opinion after I was ready.”

“I liked it!” he said and smiled again, looking at her as if to affirm that he was serious.

Chichi felt her face redden again. With that wind hitting his face and blowing his unruly hair around, it was impossible not to melt at the sight.

“Well... You don't look so bad yourself tonight. Who helped you pick out those clothes? I know it couldn't be by yourself!”

“It was Krillin!”

“I thought so!”

“You know I'd rather be wearing my gi...”

Chichi snickered. “Of course you do! How nice that at least you have a friend who helps you get dressed for your dates...” she sounded a little bitter as she finished her sentence and Goku tilted his head to the side.

“But I don't go out on any dates! This would be my first one too!”

“Really?” Goku nodded. “But why were you in the app then?”

“Ah, Krillin insisted that I should create one to... to try to meet other people, but I didn't really care. I just... I just started using it after Goten said that, because... because I thought you were seeing other men...” Goku revealed, slightly embarrassed. “You were the first and only person I talked to on the app.”

“I... I also only started using the Finder because I thought you were seeing other women...” Chichi admitted, her face getting redder and redder and the smile on Goku's face growing accordingly. “And you, I mean Mr. Carrot, were also the only one I talked to!”

“But I am Mr. Carrot!” remarked Goku, finding the whole thing incredibly amusing.

“Yeah, I know now...” she muttered and Goku landed in front of her house.

“Well, thanks for the ride, Goku.” Chichi said and Goku scratched the back of his head, he was about to say something when his stomach rumbled loudly.

“Woops, hehe!”

Chichi smiled.

“You must be starving, huh? Why don't you come inside so I can prepare something for you?”

“Would ya?” Goku's eyes grew bright and his mouth salivated.

“Yes, why not? You did give me a ride, after all...” she shrugged. she had enough food to feed an army, let alone one hungry adult sayan for whom she always loved to cook.

Since Goku was not the type to refuse food, much less Chichi's, he grinned as he replied: “Gosh, I would love to! Love your food, Chichi!”

The fire mountain princess smiled faintly and the two of them went inside. It was always a treat for her to know that Goku liked her food.

Within minutes Goku was attacking some of the delicacies that Chichi had warmed up for him and for her too. When Goku finished, he wiped his mouth on his shirt sleeve and received a stern look from Chichi which made him stop the movement and laugh. Being alone all that time had made him sloppy in some ways. Chichi just shook her head but smiled too.

“Thanks for the food, it was great!”

“You're welcome, Goku!” she said, feeling her heart warm at the compliment.

Then she put the dishes in the sink and Goku helped her. Chichi said nothing. Being there, in his presence, was comforting to her, and she secretly hoped that this moment would never end.

Goku put the last bowl in the sink and turned to look at Chichi, who, with her back to him, was wiping a cloth over the table. It felt so right to him, to be there, with her. All of it was definitely right.

He then said, sharply: “You know, I liked knowing you were Lady Milk!”

Chichi stopped moving when she heard and turned to face him, who was staring at her with a certain gentleness that made her heart race and her hands sweats. He then cut the short distance between them and stood face to face with her. Chichi swallowed hard, and the air in her lungs ran short.

“I really liked knowing that it was you that I was talking to all these months, Chichi.”

At first, thinking that this was a set-up and that she had been tricked, she was furious, but then, realizing that both of them didn't really know their true identities, she couldn't help but be pleased. It was him. All that time it was Goku, her Goku. She couldn't deny, that knowing that the name of her mysterious crush, was actually the sweet name that always made her heart flutter, belonging to the one and only man who had always made her heart flutter, made her truly happy, but it was still hard to conceive that her heart only opened again to him.

“Goku, I...”

“Are you going to tell me that you didn't like that I was Mr. Carrot?” he asked with a crooked smile, and Chichi felt her cheeks heat up. Goku giggled. How adorable she was when she was embarrassed.

“I-I-I, well… I-I-I...”

“Say it!” Goku challenged. His voice sounded hoarse and dense, his gaze intense and feverish. He stepped even closer, her body practically touching his body, and Goku needed all the strength in the universe (perhaps even more than he needed to defeat Kid Boo) to keep him from taking her in his arms. He merely ran his fingers gently over her hands, slowly moving up her arms in a gentle caress. Chichi's breath stopped in mid-throat. “Say that you didn't like knowing it was me all this time. Say that you didn't miss me. Say it!”

Her body shivered.

“N-no...” she shook her head. Goku giggled. His breath tickling her face with all that closeness. His nose rubbing against hers in a nonchalant yet provocative way, bringing those silky lips millimeters away from hers, only to pull back, leaving them dry and wanting to be wetted by his.

“Because I missed you!” he revealed. One hand rested on her waist and the other on the back of her neck, massaging her with his fingertips.

And then Chichi couldn't resist. With one hand she pulled him firmly by the neck and reached for his mouth, ending the slow and malicious torture that only Goku was capable of. He responded to the onslaught without blinking and engaged his tongue with hers in a frenetic and possessive dance.

Kami, how he had missed that kiss, how he had missed her, her touch, her smell, her taste! Everything!

Chichi melted into the strong arms of that sayan warrior, who held her tightly and firmly, who pressed her body against his, who squeezed her with every movement their tongues and mouths made, who dismantled her elaborate braid.

How she had dreamed of such a moment!

Goku's lips ran from her lips to her neck, in hot bites, licks and kisses that involuntarily elicited a few moans from the princess, who felt her body growing hotter and hotter under the touch of those strong, calloused hands. But then a fraction of lucidity flashed through her head and she came back to reality. They were separated! That would be no good.

She pushed him away with a little difficulty due to his eagerness and said: “Goku, Goku, stop! Stop!”

He stared at her, confused. He didn't want to stop, didn't want to ever be separated from her body again.

“But, Chi...”

“No, Goku, we can't... This... this is a mistake! We-”

“Mistake? Mistake is being apart!” he interrupted her “Listen to me, Chichi! Do you have any idea how many profiles I looked at on that app? Do you realize that yours, YOURS, was the one and only that caught my attention enough to like, the first and only one to start a conversation? And it was you, all the time, it was you! And I'm sure that you thought the same thing, that you went through the same thing. That I was the only man you were interested in!”

“I-this is just a coincidence, Goku.”

“No, it can't be a coincidence.” the big dark eyes stared back at her. “Do you have any idea how much I've missed you? How much I miss you? How much I dream about you every night? It couldn't be anyone else, Chichi, it couldn't be any other woman. You are the only one who owns my heart and always will be. Nothing in the world can change that!”

“You shouldn't say such things, Goku!” Chichi retorted, trying to ignore the feeling that had locked inside her. She couldn't listen to this and fill herself with false hope.

“Say what? The truth?” Goku looked deep into her eyes, serious, impassive. His heart tightening in his chest. “Say that I love you? That I have always loved and always will?” he brought one hand up to her neck and brought his face closer, brushing his nose against hers, feeling her warm breath against his skin and lips. “Because that's the truth, Chichi, the absolute truth!”

“Then why did you leave?” she cried, unable to hold back her emotions, tears starting to stream down her porcelain face. She pushed him away and stepped aside. “Why did you leave me?”

“Chichi...” Goku wiped her tears with the back of his hand. Seeing her cry always broke his heart. “But it was you who put me out of the house!”

“Only because you wanted to break up, Goku!!!” she replied, angrily, but with a note of disappointment in her voice. “You said we should split up!”

“I...” Goku felt his voice catch in his throat. “Chichi, I never wanted to break up... I... I was an idiot, forgive me, please!?”

Goku took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He felt his insides bubbling with the mix of feelings he was having at that moment, as if he was going to implode at any second. He still remembered the discussion they had over a year ago in which he had told her that maybe it would be better if they split up, even though he had never intended to do so.

“When I said that I was annoyed, but because I thought you would be better off without me!”

“How could you thought such a thing, Goku?”

“You lived so well without me during those seven years. I know it was hard for you. Dear Kami! It was hard for me too! But... I know that I was the one who caused all that pain and suffering, and when we fought and you brought up your disappointment that I didn't come back into your life sooner, I... I just thought it was better that I stayed away, that you would live better without me, that this way I wouldn't make you suffer anymore!”

Chichi looked into Goku's sad eyes that were overflowing with tears.

“When I came back home and saw all my things outside, I understood that you also agreed, and then I just left...” the sayan closed his eyes as he felt Chichi's small hand caress the side of his face. “I... I thought you wanted me gone and I went. I accepted your choice.”

“Oh, Goku...” Chichi then hugged him tight, understanding, finally, their faults and mistakes. “I didn't want to, I never wanted to! I'm sorry!! I never thought it would be better to live without you, or away from you, ever! But I was angry, I was nervous, and you said that, you said it would be better if we were apart, so I... I just acted impulsively. I thought that... I thought that you didn't love me anymore, that I was just holding you back, that I was taking away your freedom and that's why you wanted to split up... Since you did leave, I thought... I thought I was freeing you, freeing you from this marriage that you never wanted...”

“Chichi! Don't say that!” Goku held her by the shoulders and looked at her seriously. “You know I never thought I did wrong in marrying you, I never regretted keeping my promise.” he then moved his hands to the sides of her face, holding her tight. “And I never stopped loving you! Not even for one second.”

Chichi smiled slightly and stroked his face once more. Her body trembled and her heart leaped with happiness.

“Do you still love me?” he inquired.

“I always loved you, Goku, and I always will!”

Goku smiled openly, it was the best thing he could have heard that night!

He then pulled her in, connecting their lips with voracity, with passion, and desire. He felt as if he could not let go, because if he did, she would slip out of his arms, and that was something he wouldn't allow to happen.

The sayan's possessive hands began to explore the outline of Chichi's body, which burned at the touch as their mouths locked in a rhythmic, sensual motion. She intertwined the fingers of her right hand in the back of his neck and the left hand gripped his shirt, hugging him, keeping him there, where he should be and where he shouldn't leave. Where he should never have left.

Hungry, Goku brought his lips to Chichi's neck, smelling the delicious perfume she exuded that he loved so much. One of his hands was tangled in her hair, and she moved her head with each shiver that his tongue caused when it touched her skin. The other hand he brought to her right breast and groped over her clothes, eliciting a delicious moan from Chichi, which made his erection tighter in his pants.

Chichi could also feel his hardness against her body, causing more fervor within her, who slipped her right hand into his shirt, feeling the sayan's hot skin ignite in her palm. Goku grunted and pulled her closer to him, increasing the friction between their bodies. He kissed Chichi's lips again as his hand now caressed her thigh and he slowly moved up, taking the edge of her dress with him.

Each movement, be it of the hands or the lips, added more to the passion and desire of those two beings who were incapable of denying their feelings.

They were submitted to each other.

They stopped the kiss, suddenly, when her lungs were already short of air, and their gazes locked, deep and honest.

No words needed to be said. It was crisp and clear to either of them, and in the next second, their hands were busy removing the garments that were keeping them from feeling more complete – Goku with less delicacy than Chichi, since he basically ripped her dress and who only didn't complain because her mind was as taken by lust as his.

Then she felt his strong hands pull her up by her thighs and sit her down on the kitchen table and she wrapped her legs around his waist and brought him closer to her, gluing their naked bodies together, eliciting another grunt from Goku who felt the wetness of her intimacy brushing against his groin. The scent of her taking over his potent nostrils was numbing. He immediately positioned his cock at Chichi's entrance and penetrated her, slowly and deliciously.

Dear Kami, that felt so good and she was so wet.

Chichi bit his bottom lip and scratched his back as she moaned softly feeling him fill her and Goku's mind went wild. It was almost as if he was under the effect of the full moon, but he knew that was just the effect Chichi had on him, even more so after all that time away.

When he reached the base, Goku held her by the buttocks and began to move slowly, roaring and gasping sensually. Their sweaty bodies collided with each movement, causing a loud slap that was muffled by the sound of their mouths exchanging sloppy kisses, but letting out moans, screams and grunts.

Little by little the sayan was increasing the pace and pressure, as much as he wanted to stretch her out on that table and fuck her mercilessly, he still wanted to enjoy every bit of Chichi and this was the best way to do it. The fire mountain princess, on the other hand, as much as she knew she could take all the pressure that her sayan warrior could offer, was also enjoying that moment that, for her, could last forever.

She was delirious with every pelvic movement he made, Goku had always known how to leave her at her limit every time they made love and this time was being no different. She bit his neck and scratched his back, hard, as he held her legs apart for deeper access. She moaned louder, more sensually.

“Ooooh, Goo-goo... kuuu...”

His name sounded from her lips like musical notes. He smirked. He always liked to hear her call his name at those moments and it made him even hornier, he could easily turn into a super sayan at any moment. He kissed her and then whispered over her lips:

“Chichi... I love you... nnnngg… I love you so much!”

“I loov... aahhnn... I love you too!”

The warrior then held her by the base of her butt and lifted her off the table, moving her on top of his member, penetrating her faster and harder, feeling her panting breath on his neck causing him to shiver more and her walls to press against him even harder. He knew she was close, and so did he.

She threw her head back and tugged at his hair as her whole body shook with the orgasm that overtook her and her reaction was enough to make Goku spill his load, roaring as he nibbled on her neck. Chichi softened at the same instant and would have given way to the floor if it weren't for the strong arms of her lover holding her down.

Goku smiled and hugged her tightly, making Chichi lay her head on his chest and listen to the rapid beating of his heart. The heart that belonged only to her.

The messy sheets and out-of-place pillows gave away the scene of that night.

Goku was lying, naked, on the bed as he laughed with Chichi, in between kissing and cuddling, talking about the craziness of the whole Lady Milk and Mr. Carrot situation. She was lying just below him. They had just finished another session of crazy love that, after the kitchen, had moved into the bedroom, which had not changed a bit since he had left.

When he had left grandpa's house that night to meet the unknown Lady Milk, he certainly hadn't expected things to end this way. It was, without a doubt, the best date of his life, because it was the date that brought his love back into his life.

He ran his hands over her soft body and then looked at the clock on the wall that read over midnight. Time had passed that he hadn't even noticed. He then looked at her with a certain gentleness and placed a soft kiss on her lips, before standing up and saying: “It's late, huh?” he scratched his head, unsure if this was what he should do, and Chichi peeked at the watch, realizing that the time had flown by. “I guess I'd better be going...”

She pulled him by the hand, saying: “No. Stay!”

“Do you want me to stay the night?” he asked with a hint of hope in his voice and crouched down next to her again.

Chichi shook her head negatively and replied: “Forever!”

Goku's eyes widened and he opened an "o" with his mouth.

“Is it serious?”

“Yep... Stay!”

Goku cracked a smile wider than his own face, now that was the best thing he heard that night!

Then leaned over her again and, before kissing her, revealed: “Chi... this is what I want most!” Goku felt his heart fill with joy. Just when he thought the night couldn't get any better. He would be back, back to her, back to his love, and also back home, with his family, his children. They would be complete once again. “That's all I want!”

She smiled in mid-kiss and hugged him, tangling her fingers in his unruly hair.

His Goku was back. Back from where he should never have left and where he would never leave again.
