Steph yelps, “Oh, shit!”
“What!?”
“We haven't told anyone you're alive!”
“-What?”
“Your friends?” She looks at Babs, “Have you-?”
Jason stops looking at her. Why's he-?
She says uncertainly, “Jason?”
He replies stiffly, still not looking at her, “Everyone who can know, does.”
“But they haven't-. I haven't seen anyone come to visit you?” Maybe she just hasn't been around for it?
“I don't wanna see B, or Alfie, not right now. An' you've seen Dick an’ Babs.”
“Yeah, but-.” But that can't be it, surely?
“Any people I had, I left behind when I left the Alley. Hadn't talked to them in years, even before all a this. Robin wasn't supposed to talk to ‘em, so.” He shrugs, casual-like.
“Yeah, but you're not just Robin.”
“Look. Steph.
"B made it clear that if I wanted to be Robin, I had to behave. I had to do well in school, I had to do my homework, I had to be responsible.
"An' that did not include wandering round the Alley tryin' to find people I used to know.”
He huffs, like he's annoyed at having to explain this to her.
“But-.” That would mean he-. Just-. No one?
“An’ as it is now, y’know. You think shit like this happens to any old street rat, even one who got adopted by Bruce Wayne? Come on, Stephanie, be serious.”
She says very quietly, “Not even any other heroes?”
She knows that she doesn't know many, but Batman hasn't exactly endorsed her. Jason had been Robin, had been his kid. She knows that Dick used to be on a team, and Tim is too. Did Jason just not-?
He huffs again. “I went on a mission or two with the Titans. I guess if they wanna say hi, they can.”
It's clear that he doesn't expect them to, though.

She looks at Babs. She doesn't meet Steph's gaze.
Didn't Jason have anyone?
