She's not immune to the irony of it all: during Oz's greatest celebratory season, all she wants to do is flounce upon her bed and curl up, wrapping herself up in thousand-count sheets, and mar her pretty face with tears. Who better to give Elphaba the show of abject mourning that she deserves than the woman responsible for her death?

 

 

 

So she cries, then cries some more—oblivious to the green envelope that slides itself underneath her bedroom door, waiting for her.
