A regular trip out is so different now.
They have to make sure they have all of Jonah’s essentials and anything else that might happen. TK has taken on the role of father like putting on another shirt, but Carlos has had to make more adjustments than he thought.
Not that he regrets it for a second. He’s glad to be learning, even with a few stumbles along the way.
Even a simple trip to the park is laden with essentials like snacks and water, but also a ball and some bandaids and cortisone cream. You can’t forget the change of clothes either. The list almost seems endless, but they finally get it all.
The three of them walk hand in hand to their neighborhood park, Jonah between Carlos and TK, swinging his arms wildly as they pull his arms to have him jump every few feet. Carlos swears the giggles and laughs coming from the two of them could solve all the world’s problems.
Who wouldn’t want to keep his boys laughing and happy, and so beautiful?
Carlos and TK settle on the bench, watching Jonah have a good time running around and chasing others. He pulls both of them in every once in a while, but oh to have a toddler’s energy to burn. They give it their best, but Jonah is a bubbly boy, just like his brother, and thankfully there are a few other families that can tap in.
While it may be exhausting, Carlos wouldn’t change this experience for the world.
