Summary
When Carlos accidentally goads an arm-wrestling match between Owen and Enzo that leaves Enzo with a broken arm, TK is seriously mad. Fortunately, make-up-birthday-sex is a thing – and for TK and Carlos, this means deep-throating, role play, toys, and the kind of sex that breaks the laws of physics.
“Do you want me to run a bubble bath?”
“Yes,” TK answers bitterly, “But you’re not getting in it.”
“You’re banning me from the bath now too?”
TK sniffs. “I’m taking a bath alone. I’m going to bed alone. Tomorrow, I am going to eat breakfast alone.”
“Huh.” Carlos nods, hanging his black jacket up beside TK’s and placing his Stetson on another hook. “Three of your favorite Bs all by yourself.”
TK turns to him with a snarl. “We might have lunch together if we’re not out on calls.”
“Oh, might we?”
“At the burrito truck,” TK huffs.
“Another favorite B, but it gets to include me?” Carlos teases, making his way back to him.
TK rolls his lips. “Maybe.”

Carlos felt he should have known from the moment those words were uttered from his future father-in-law, more or less, that the events unfolding would lead to disaster.
After all, it wasn’t the first time he and T.K. had found themselves at the mercy of an Owen-Gabriel team-up.
What he couldn’t have planned for, however, was just how deeply that disaster would cut into their lives.
It wasn’t until Sadie confessed the depths of her deception that night that he would understand the implications it would have not only for himself and TK’s relationship, but for the relationship with both of their fathers.

In the early hours of a mellow May night, TK Strand wakes Carlos Reyes and proposes to him. A baffled Carlos initially starts to talk TK down – as if assuming he might not mean it. This is the story of why.
Or, 4 times TK accidentally proposed because Carlos is spectacular with his mouth, +1 time he genuinely proposed because Carlos is spectacular with his heart.
He’s smug when he enters him. He gets to be. No finger-stretch is quite enough for Carlos’ thickness, and TK grits his teeth at the exquisite burn – so familiar, yet always a shock. Carlos catches TK’s mouth with his as he opens wide, his head tipping back. Carlos licks at TK’s lips, his tongue, his teeth. He loves the way he can make TK’s mouth open with words or make it open with silence. He can make TK’s mouth open like he can’t open it wide enough to get all the air he needs, or to let out the moan trapped around his heart. He loves TK’s mouth so much, he just has to kiss it, even if TK’s mind has bent sideways and he doesn’t have the wherewithal to kiss him back right now. On his desk at work, Carlos keeps a picture of TK grinning beautifully. It’s his favourite thing. That smile, that mouth. He thinks about it all the time.
