Aelita ends up winning. Jeremy curses under his breath but takes the loss, tossing a dirty look to William as he teases and laughs, ruffling both of the player’s hair in a movement that ends up with him falling off the bed anyways and getting laughed at in return. Sure. Maybe the time wasted was worth it.
