   Summary

   It started the way it always did.

   Ace of Hearts was a loyal soldier in the Queen’s guard. In fact, he was one of her best, and he wanted for nothing else in life than to serve her to his fullest capacity.

   It always started out that way...

   But Ace was something of a defective card.

   Or: The one where Ace's love for Red is the thing that keeps saving him and dooming him over and over again.
