Peach blossoms in the mountain peaks

Summary:

Shen Yuan is definitely ready to give 0 out of 10 for this transmigration experience! Getting a quest from a dying dragon first thing when you get to a new world is cool, right? Only if at least something is understandable here! Wandering barefoot on stones? Give him more than 100 hours! Solving problems on the scale of three realms that appeared centuries earlier due to his survival? He definitely did not sign up for this...
What do dragons do in the world of PIDW anyway? Why are almost all of them as stupid as Airplane? Why does the main villain keep trying to kill him no matter what? But the most important question is... Why the hell should he serve an impudent succubus just because she let him rest for a few hours?! Well, at least in this backwater they feed well and are not at all against sheltering an incomprehensible boy.

Or:
Shen Yuan's attempts to live peacefully in PIDW and fulfill the wish of a dead dragon. Also not to die in the process. And if he manages to help the main villain a little, then this is just a nice bonus, nothing more!

Chapter Text

The first thing the entity felt after a long time in silence and emptiness was intense heat. It embraced him from all sides and did not even allow him to move. At the same time he felt only calm and satiation. In his head there were only attempts to think, but nothing full-fledged came out. Then after some time he felt coolness, like from a light summer breeze instead of heat. In general, his condition did not change in any way. So the entity remained between these sensations for a long time. Periodically he managed to hear some sounds that seemed to come from all sides, but did not make any sense to him. Sometimes he managed to feel his body a little. Very rarely he heard a strange ringing sound that was very familiar to him, but he could not understand where it was coming from. This continued for a while, but despite everything, the entity felt only calm.

The first thing that the entity fully realized was his name.

The first thing Shen Yuan really heard was a loud clang, a howl that reverberated throughout his entire body. Then he began to sway from side to side. He saw a very bright light through his eyelids, felt heat. Then felt cold again. He heard a crack. Again a dull howl, screams, sounds of destruction were heard.

The first thing Shen Yuan felt was a strong pain at the level of his forehead, on his hands and knees. The air around him was stale, it was painful to breathe. Dust was flying around, it smelled of ozone, as well as iron and grass. There was a ringing in his ears and his eyes were darkening. Then there was a squeak, something nearby illuminated his face with a bright light. On shaking limbs, he tried to rise slightly. He succeeded only on the third try. Breathing heavily and trying to blink, he sat on his knees.

The first thing Shen Yuan saw was a bright blue changing inscription on a small screen in front of him.

"...ome to the world! $^#&@*#%×_@. Malfunctions! ....were₽^#&@ Fixed as best as possible!... ERROR. Cannot find power source.@@@@@ Your target:$^&$#*#*#**$&&#*@*@($*$&&$&@*@*"

After that, the screen made a loud deafening sound and went dark. The space was enveloped in darkness again. Yuan continued to look ahead and listen to the loud pounding of his heart in his ears. Swallowing, he realized the second thing. He died and was reborn in some world with a system, but something clearly went wrong. His thoughts were confused, he could not formulate anything complete anymore. Suddenly, the space around him shook. Shen Yuan felt the wind on his face, and then saw a slight golden glow out of the corner of his eye. Automatically turning his head towards the light, he realized with surprising clarity, that he would probably die for the second time. He wanted to scream with all his might, but he was completely paralyzed by horror. Shen Yuan could only continue to breathe noisily and look at the huge golden eye that was constantly looking at him from a distance of one chi. In front of him was a huge gray-golden head of a lizard. More precisely, Shen Yuan thought hysterically, the lizard was black and white. The grayness arose from the dust and dirt around and the gold flowed from the numerous wounds on the huge body. The eye suddenly trembled, went out, and then shone brighter.

"Child..." A strange hoarse voice suddenly sounded in Yuan's head. Despite the horror inside, he quickly looked at himself. In the darkness, it was only visible that his hands were very dark from the dirt around. However, it was clear that all of his limbs had shrunk in size. He had just realized what kind of body he had transmigrated into.

In the current situation, the boy was only able to breathe heavily and look forward at the monster. Its body was covered with a strange semblance of ash-black scales, and a long dirty mane was white on the back of its neck. Everything around trembled again and suddenly a ray of light penetrated the space. The lizard's head and Shen Yuan had been under the creature's gray wings all this time, and now these wings slightly opened to the sides.

In front of him was not a lizard, but a dragon!

Then the dragon's curved front limb reached out to Yuan. His heart seemed to beat even faster and his breathing became more unsteady. As soon as the dragon moved its limbs behind Yuan's back, he felt a strong burning pain for a moment in a place that he could not recognize by sensation, no matter how hard he tried. Then everything stopped. Shen Yuan sighed again convulsively.

"...This is all...that I can give..." You could hear how the strength left this huge creature. "Run. Hide from the other Supremes...!" The dragon's eye closed, trembled behind its eyelids, and slowly opened. A small orange ball of light appeared from it.

Yuan could only jerkily nod at the dragon's words. Creature closed its eyes again and with a heavy sigh completely retracted its shiny wings. The boy immediately tried to get to his feet, but his limbs did not obey him at all.

"...save My Treasure...!" The voice in his head sounded again. This time it was a little louder and more demanding. Then it switched to a whisper. "...say that I am sorry for everything." The voice was so sad and helpless that Yuan's eyes involuntarily filled with wetness, and his chest began to ache. He did not understand what was happening at all. After a long silence, Yuan finally managed to get to his feet. The ball of light seemed to become larger and slowly flew towards one of the passages from the destroyed cave. Yuan swallowed again and went after it, adjusting the small blanket on his back, which had been on top of his body all this time. The path to fresh air was quite fast, but Yuan was constantly slowed down by the sharp rocks that dug into his feet and the huge signs of destruction around him, which distracted the boy's gaze from the ball of light. So, after his death he ended up in some strange world with dragons. The thought of novels with transmigration in different works popped into his head. However, Shen Yuan couldn't remember reading anything about dragons lately. It was as if he had been thrown into some random world. There was a bug with the system for a reason.… And the words of that creature would not leave his head! He didn't understand at all why everything the dragon said resonated in his soul so much. Yes, it was all very sad, but obviously not that sad.

There were a lot of questions, but there was no answer at all. However, Shen Yuan decided that he would solve everything as problems arose. So the main thing now was to get out of this creepy and very cold cave. He shivered, wrapped himself tighter in the blanket and turned his gaze to the flashing ball of light. This ball most likely appeared based on the energy of the large lizard and was a kind of dragon's last will. This thought made him uncomfortable.

Suddenly the cave shook, so the transmigrator had to break into a run. "... SO SORRY!" Yuan heard that voice again already at the exit of the cave. There was an unimaginable amount of despair and pain in this final phrase. After another loud roar, the cave collapsed and dust flew around. Yuan sneezed and wiped away his tears. So the plan to go through this place again in the future was ruined. He wanted to say that the view from the top of the cave was beautiful, but that would be a lie. Despite the open space, it was almost as dark as in the cave due to the night time and dark clouds in the sky. Looking around, the boy noticed only a huge amount of stones and sparse bushes around. "There is clearly nothing remarkable or memorable here, unfortunately…"

The ball of light suddenly grew even larger and moved with greater speed along a dubious path down the mountain. Noticing this, Shen Yuan rushed after it. The path was very shaky and from time to time it seemed to him that he was about to fall off the edge and crash into the rocks. How did he even end up in this stupid cave? People clearly didn't come here on a regular basis. Most likely, this cave was just for the dragon and that's all. Stepping on a particularly sharp rock, Shen Yuan cursed under his breath and quickened his pace. He wanted to get to a level surface faster.

Yuan did not know how long he walked like this, but his legs hurt unbearably. Suddenly, at the crossroads between the tops of the mountains, he felt a strange pulling feeling, because of which he unexpectedly fell onto the dirty ground. "Thank goodness I didn't hit the rocks!" He thought with irritation, brushing the dirt off his face with his hand. He noticed in the distancea blossoming tree growing over a small lake with lotuses next to it. Raising himself up, he felt something pulling him again, calling him even more strongly. Then a chorus of female voices rang out in his mind.

"Help...! ...our....LAST!" The voices became louder and more jumbled, making it impossible to clearly understand the words. Yuan screamed from the pain that pierced his skull. Unable to withstand such pressure, he hit the ground with his forehead. Everything became quiet again. What the hell was going on here?! Why can't he just spend some time in peace! Shen Yuan looked ahead and jumped to his feet as soon as he realized that the ball of light had not stopped with him, but continued to fly ahead again. The boy continued to run with all his strenght despite the feeling still pulling him towards the tree. This is clearly a problem for future him.

The ball of light eventually dissolved a hour later near a large oak tree in the forest under the mountain. During the journey, a light rain had begun. It threatened to turn into a real downpour. Yuan couldn't stay on his feet anymore and fell face down in the mud again. After a while, he rolled over onto his back, sighed heavily and looked at the dark sky. Sky was filled with an infinite number of different stars that were visible even through the clouds.

What had he gotten himself into, after all!?

Yuan lay like that for a short time, trying to rest a little and get his head in order. On a sudden impulse, he reached out to the stars. They were completely different from those in his world. Turning his gaze to the limb, Yuan let out a surprised sigh and raised his other hand. Upon examination, it became clear that they were not at all as dirty, as he had first thought. His hands were gray and had small claws. Moreover, they were covered with small scales that felt strangely like regular human skin. Yuan wanted to study his appearance in more detail, but this new world was clearly against it, because a couple of seconds later thunder rumbled and a downpour began. Getting back up on his feet, which were shaking like grass in the wind, he slowly walked along a small trodden path, leaning on the trees along the way. His legs and body were also gray as were his arms, the boy noted somewhat hysterically.

Walking through the thicket, Shen Yuan saw light in the distance. And the silhouettes of small houses. "Finally, something!" He thought with relief, breaking through the sheet of rain to the wooden buildings. It was probably a small village. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed about five small houses on the sides. It was surprising that they were all without light. More precisely, all except one, which was located a little to the left of all the others and stood as if on some kind of border. Shen Yuan climbed over a small fence, fell face down on the ground again. Then he made his way to the front door and knocked several times. For a couple of minutes, all he could hear was the rain.

"Well, have you come back to me on your knees?!" A mocking female voice came from behind the door. "Believe me, after all you've done, I'll agree to listen to you, haha!" Her voice gave off a strong, nasty hoarseness. The sound of numerous locks opening could be heard. "But only if you fall to your knees before me and acknowledge my greatness with a large number of colorful epithets! I knew that at the meeting with the Supremes, you'll all get your stupid heads slapped again!" Now the voice was full of malice. How many of these locks are there?! And wait, did she say Supremes? Remembering the dragon's words, perhaps he acted too rashly, but nothing could be done now.

"Oh well, this lovely jiejie will..." The door finally opened, and silence fell. "...Ah!?" Yuan was about to open his mouth when the door slammed shut in front of his face with a loud bang. From the surprise and the loudness of the woman's scream, he fell again, but this time on his butt. Due to the abundance of water in his eyes, he couldn't even look at the woman.

"Why does everyone in this world want to somehow stun me..." Shen Yuan thought with displeasure and leaned his forehead against the door. "What's going on..." He heard a gasping breath through the door. Suddenly, the door swung open again and a shadow fell on Yuan.

"Ha! Look who came to my doorstep! What is the offspring of the most vile member of the council doing here?" There was a tsking sound, and then a few chuckles. "Did he really throw you out into the street? Of course, it's not surprising! I told everyone that he was unworthy of the great council of the Supremes! But the residents of this backwater still hoped for something... Ha! This will definitely show them that I was right this time too!" More chuckles. Yuan could no longer feel his fingers from the cold. He honestly tried to understand her words, but a sharp pain in his head prevented him from doing so. Everything later! Now his goal is clearly different!

"S-sorry.." His own voice sounded insanely quiet and croaky. "Huh?!" Another yelp. Did she forget about him in her monologue? Clearing his throat, Shen Yuan continued, "...Auntie, I..."

"What auntie?!" The nasty voice cut into his ears again. "Not only are you a tramp, but you're also blind! I'm as young as the early morning of mid-spring!" You really can't tell with how you sound...

"J-jiejie, let me warm up inside, please! I-I'll do a-anything! And-d I'll help you with everything! … Just p-please, help…" Shen Yuan begged despite his ears and neck burning with shame. His thin face was clearly against these words, but it was a matter of survival! Given the lack of light in the other houses, he didn’t have much of a choice.

The woman let out a strange, convulsive sigh again. "Tsk! I don't need a wet rat on my new carpet! Go to the right, behind that ram's butcher shop!" Oh, it was unexpected to hear advice from such a person. "At least the stench from your rotting body won't be noticeable there!" The door slammed shut again. What a bitch!

Shen Yuan suddenly realized that he wouldn't be able to leave here. After meeting another living person, all the adrenaline he was holding on to simply evaporated. Fuck.

There was no other choice. Shen Yuan tried to lie down on the threshold more comfortably. He wasn't very successful at this due to the large number of wounds and bruises all over his body. What a terrible experience for a transmigrator! Where are any explanations, any reward for his efforts?! He gives 0 out of 10. Letting out a heavy sigh, he tried to fall asleep to the sounds of rain and thunder. Tch! Well, let him die here, under this door! But at least this woman will find something to do in the morning, cleaning up his stinking corpse!

Shen Yuan cursed under his breath and tried to wrap himself in the soaking wet blanket tighter. Apparently he should have followed that feeling by the blossoming tree. Maybe there would have been another cave nearby where he would have had a chance to at least hide from the rain. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the fabric swaying in the window near the door. She really just watched him suffer. Did he really run into some third-rate villainess with an inflated ego or a typical tsundere little sister, who is waiting for her hero, that will accept her no matter what?! Angrily squeezing his small body and closing his eyes, Shen Yuan tried to fall asleep. After a while, the door swung open again. "You're certainly an idiot!" A sharp smell of tobacco was heard. She managed to smoke during this time?! "Tsk, I don't want to deal with your body later. My schedule is completely full without you!" The woman stamped her foot next to Shen Yuan's head. "Come inside! Now you're in my debt until I think you've paid enough." It sounded extremely repulsive, but there really was no other choice.

Shen Yuan barely got to his feet, took a couple of steps inside and couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. It was so warm and dry inside! And finally he could see everything normally without that water in his eyes. His happy thoughts were interrupted by a surprisingly light blow to the back of his head.

"What are you waiting for, go there!" Yuan turned up to see where she pointed. He immediately turned back. Her clothes barely covered her breasts! Don't get him wrong, Shen Yuan had nothing against people who dressed very revealingly and such! But this was too much. It felt like with a slight movement, all these layers (what's the point of this number of layers if they're all lowered equally in one place?!) would descend further and reveal something sacred. "Haha, you're really funny! Never seen a succubus in your short life?" She clearly understood his reaction differently. "So look! I, the most outstanding of the sisters from Hao nest, Hao Aoshi, am descending to your insignificant level to help you!" She spun around smoothly on the spot and raised her hand to her face in a contradictory modest manner. Shen Yuan wanted to hit his head on the ground again, just to avoid hearing that laughter. But... A succubus? Based on the features of her appearance, he can try to understand whether he knows the world he finds himself in! The boy slowly turned his head toward the voice and gaped in shock. How could such a pleasant-looking girl have such an unpleasant voice?!

The succubus was clearly young, had pleasant, slightly rounded features with wide eyebrows, and her wavy brown hair was tied in a some simple and slightly careless hairstyle. The clothes were also quite modest in design and brown-orange color. That of course with the exception of the huge cutout on her chest and leg. The most notable were her bright pink eyes with black whites, long ears and dark round tattoos on her cheek and between her breasts. Also striking was the strange fabric that covered her entire neck and looked like bandages. Overall, Yuan felt a little disappointed. In all the works he had read, he had never come across succubi with black whites. He would definitely remember that! In most of the works he had read, all succubi and incubi were presented as complete copies of ordinary people, so this detail could have been very helpful.

It was clear from her face that she was flattered by the attention. "Oh, come on, I know I'm as beautiful as a peach blossom! You can pick up your dirty chin from my clean floor and go to that room." She waved her hand vaguely, laughed some more and walked off in the opposite direction with a light gait. There was a loud slam of the door. Shen Yuan thought with irritation that apparently even more loud noises awaited him.

He made his way to his goal on knees. In general, Shen Yuan wanted to do a lot of things: look around the small room, think about everything that had happened again, or at least just change his clothes and look at himself! However, as soon as his head touched the pillow, he immediately passed out.

His final conscious thought was quite generalizing.

          What a fucking mess!

Notes:

Thank you for reading this chapter :) It is my first work, so I am open to criticism. Please leave comments with your thoughts on this work. English is not my native language and therefore there may be mistakes, so I apologize in advance. Initially, I made several sketches on this idea, and then I could not resist and decided to write it. In the next chapter, I am going to attach my drawing of Aoshi's appearance and Shen Yuan himself. If everything goes according to plan, then almost every chapter will have a couple of small sketches :)
