Summary
It all starts with Eddie having a terrible month, missing his uncle on a sad and lonely Christmas Eve, and a card sent on a whim to a stranger now living in his childhood home.
Somehow, it ends with Eddie spending New Year's in the arms of Steve, the unbelievably sweet man who received his card and made it his mission to find Eddie via the power of the internet.
In the middle of it all, the winter holidays come and go, but the story isn't about that; it's about life that keeps on going between the cracks of holiday cheer. It's a story of texting for miles, processing grief, accepting kindness, attempting self-growth, falling in love so hard and fast it feels almost impossible, and a very cute emotional support cat. -
