Work Text:
Evka examined herself in the bathroom mirror, her dress shirt drape over her now showing bump and growing breasts, her braids hanging on her shoulders contrasting with the pearly white satin.
It was gonna feel a bit weird being dressed so nice and casual around the people of Lavendal, her Warden uniform folded and tucked away in their chest of drawers.
The dwarven woman gently cradled her belly, tucking her shirt to see her bump properly, “doing okay in their?” Evka said, as if their unborn youngest would respond.
A small movement occurred in her womb, not entirely noticeable if she wasn’t paying attention, but she felt it, “of course you are~”.
Evka finished up in the bathroom, doing a second check around her outfit to make sure she looked alright for their friend’s wedding. The dwarf moved from the restroom into her sons’ bedroom; the two little boys partially dressed in similar outfits to their mother, the eldest desperately tried to button his shirt while his younger brother was sat on his bed reading a book, his feet dangling off the edge as he enjoyed his story.
“You two almost ready?”
“Yes Mama, just tryin’ to- nrgh!”
The toddler mashed his buttons together thinking that was gonna do something, his tiny nose scrunched in frustration before his mom knelt in front of him, “here sweetie”, Evka took over buttoning Claude’s shirt, the boy spread his arms out slightly as his mother worked.
“You excited?” the woman asked her child.
“Uh huh!” Claude nodded eagerly making his mother smile.
Evka did the last button on the boy’s shirt, patting down the creases before placing a small peck on the little one’s cheek, “my little handsome boy~”
“Haha, Mama!”
“Whaaaat, you are”.
Claude’s cheek turned pink as his mother smothered him in kisses, “you go eat your breakfast now, okay?”
“Okay, Mama!!”, the dark-haired boy ran out into the kitchen, leaving Evka and Clem together.
The woman walked over to her younger son who was still stuck to his book, Evka slowly knelt in front of the light-haired boy, getting his attention without scaring him, “hey sweetie, we are leaving soon, okay” Evka signed to the boy
{Okay Mama, can I finish this chapter first?}
“Of course, baby, there’s no big rush”
{Thank you}.
Evka stood up and sat beside her son, looking down at the pages he was working on, “what are you reading, sweetie?” the woman asked, signing to her son.
{Papa gave it to me, from Auntie Lace, it’s called Tales of the Inquisition's Agents by Varric Tethras}
The woman’s heart skipped a beat; she barely heard Varric’s name in ages let alone seen one of his books, to see one being read by her child made her emotional, “you know Papa and I knew Varric?”
{I know, Aunt Lace and Uncle Kage told me, I would have liked to meet him}
Evka smiled and ruffled the child’s light brown curls, “yeah, he was great guy...”, the woman smooched Clem on the forehead before letting him be to finish the chapter he was on.

Opening the door to their bedroom, Evka was met with a beautiful sight.
Antoine was dressed in the same shirt, corset and boots he got on their twentieth anniversary, his marigold badge and ice necklace wore in a way so they were right beside each other, however, instead of the purple feathered skirt to go with the shirt and corset, the elf wore tight-fitting, navy leather pants.
The dwarf couldn’t help but stare at the man’s waist, he was so nimble, the leather pants hugged his thighs and hips perfectly, Evka heavily admired and adored her husband’s recent embrace of femininity, he’d wear the dress for her some nights when they were feeling frisky.
“Enjoying the view~?”
Evka looked up to find a smug Antoine looking down at her, his eyebrow arched with a smirk on his mouth, “I am~”, the elf approached his wife with a slow strut, the clack of his boots on the floor echoed in Evka’s ears.
“Why aren’t you wearing the dress?”
“Well, it’s a bit much, I don’t want to take away any attention from Flynn and Martin”
“Yeah, that’s fair”
“And plus...”
Antoine lifted Evka’s head by putting his thin fingers under her chin, “that dress is for my wife’s eyes only~”, the dwarf bit her lip as she took her love’s hand, “well, maybe when we get home...”
“Just for you, my darling~” the elf said, winking seductively.
Evka kissed the dorsal of the elf’s hand, eyeing him with a hungry stare, “it’s a date~”.
Antoine chuckled playfully before turning back to the mirror in their room, walking over to check his outfit. The dwarven woman’s eyes travelled up the elf’s lanky, hot frame when a particular scar caught her attention, as Antoine adjusted his top, he exposed his clavicle more, showing the prominent bite mark on his shoulder that has been tormenting them as of recently.
It had been a little more than a week since the incident, the incident that has had Evka on her toes since, worrying that her dear husband was going to be moulded into a mindless monster.
“I’m thinking about letting my hair grow out, what do you think?” Antoine asked, twirling around oh so elegantly.
“Ani... are you sure you're alright to go?”
“Yes, darling... I’m fine”
Antoine softly rubbed the shoulder presenting the giant bite mark, turning to his concerned wife, “I haven’t had a nightmare or odd feeling yet-”
“But what if you do today?”
“Evka...”
The elf walked up to his spouse again, kneeling down to see her face-to-face and holding her hands to comfort her, “it’ll be fine... but if something happens, I’ll tell you this time... I promise”
“.... okay”
Antoine pecked his wife’s hands sweetly, pressing them against his forehead gingerly as if he was praying to her, like that would be unusual for him.

Lavendal’s environment had never been so exciting to be in.
The simple yet pretty decor up in the Grey Hold, whites, purples and blues ever so slightly lighting up the dull grey that filled the place, Brona’s Bloom surrounding the Warden couple as they noticed all the boxes that took up the space were shoved outside temporarily for the small ceremony.
Chairs were set up with names written on them, Evka, Antoine, Claude and Clement were all placed in a row in front, next to them were two other seats reserved for their new friends, Amani Wilfred and Zephyr Wilfred, Evka really hoped that they can make it as well as her long time best friend, Kage, whose name was written at the beginning of the row across from them.
“Antoine, Evka!!” an energetic voice rang from the Western stairs, Mila came trotting towards them in a pretty blue dress with a Brona’s Bloom pinned to on the strap, her big curls tied back in low bun.
“Mila, oh mon cher, you look so darling!”
“Ha, thanks, Antoine”, the young woman hugged the elf and dwarf tight before kneeling down and hugging the boys too, “you guys wanna help me with the rest of the chairs?”
“Okay!” Claude agreed and Clement nodded vigorously before going off with Mila, waving to their parents before disappearing.
Evka let out a tired sigh as she rubbed her forehead, “are you alright, mon amour?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, just been feeling a little off lately... I’m okay, though”.
The woman had been experiencing more fatigue during her pregnancy, a lot more than when she was having the boys, “do you need to sit?”
“No Ann, I’m fine, let’s just look for Flynn and Martin”, Evka nearly walked off on her husband, the elf quickly following her.

“May I enter?”
Flynn turned at the sound of their dear friend’s voice, the dwarven woman stood patiently outside the curtains of the physician’s tent awaiting a response.
“Evka, you can come in!”, and the woman did so.
Evka opened the folds of the tent, seeing Flynn all done up was definitely a new sight, the physician’s hair was draped over their shoulder, the end of it braided with blue flowers woven into it, they wore a blue satin shirt with a white rose on their breast pocket and black leather pants.
“Wow, you look great, Flynn” Evka complimented the betrothed, Flynn softly stroked their hair, “thank you...”
“Nervous?”
The dwarf sat on the chair beside the human person who continued to stare at themself in the mirror, “a bit... but happy”
“That’s the important thing”
Flynn gave the woman a soft smile before looking down, rubbing the base of their ring finger where the symbol of their union will soon be, “hey Evka.... thank you”
“What for?”
“You helped me make this decision, remember?”
She does, many things happened that day, but she certainly recalls the talk she had with the physician, Evka didn’t totally realise she was the one who caused the engagement at the time and even now she would refuse to take credit for that, “I feel like you would’ve said yes anyway”
“Ha, I’m the one who proposed!”
“Really!?”
Flynn almost hyperventilated from laughter at Evka’s confusion.

Antoine sauntered into the ajar tent to find Martin.
The human Warden stood in front of the standing mirror in his tent, adjusting every inch of his outfit, the blue satin shirt, black pants and the black rose pinned to his chest, the elf could very clearly see the nerves in his fellow Warden’s eyes.
“Doing okay, mon ami?”
“Aight, just pre-wedding nerves... I’ll be alright”
Antoine leaned against the table next to Martin, the man continuously tugging and tucking his shirt to make sure it looked good for his future spouse.
“You look fine, Marty, Flynn will adore you no matter what”
“I know, I know, I just...”
Antoine placed a reassuring hand on the man’s back, looking at both of their reflections, “it’s okay to scared, it’s big commitment... but worth it”
“Were you this scared... when you married Evka?”
“Of course I was, but then again being a Warden, pretty much everything about your life is scary”
“I love Flynn... I love them so much, I feel like I shouldn’t be afraid to marry them”
The elf recognised this fear, the same fear that nearly prevented him from marrying the love of his life. Antoine took Martin by the shoulders and turned the other man to face him, “Martin, you are not afraid of marrying Flynn... you’re afraid of losing them”
“I...”
“You feel like your relationship could crumble any moment, that either of you could get your calling and you’ll never see each other again....”
Martin opened his mouth to say something but immediately shut it again, listening to the elf’s words, “your fear of losing the person you love causes you to avoid commitment, so it’ll hurt less when they’re gone... don’t let it stop you from being with Flynn, love them for as long as you can, okay?”
“... I... I think I get what you mean... thanks”
“You’re my friend, Martin, I’m always here for you”
“Like wise, man”
The human Warden embraced the elven Warden, squeezing him tight before they proceeded to discuss Antoine’s positions as best man, what he needed to do and where he needed to be.

“That one is for Greta, that’s Augusten and that’s-”
Mila aligned the seats for each attendant of the ceremony; she signed the spelling of each name to Clem as she placed them so he can place the cards assigning their chairs, meanwhile Claude put a flower on each seat next to the name cards.
“Hmmm, I’ll go get more chairs, you two stay here, okay?”
{Okay} Clem signed, “we will!” the older boy confirmed with an enthusiastic thumbs up.
The young woman walked off to get a few more seats, making her way through the archway to the storage nook.
Mila was just about to round the corner when she ran into an unfamiliar face, the startled girl nearly tripped back with a fright, but a hand reached out for her, “so sorry, are you alright, miss?”
The young woman looked up at the person talking to her.
A tall qunari towered over her, they had short steel blue hair, slicked back tight and neat, in front of their hair were two rough, spiky stumps where their horns should be, their eyes were almost completely blank, an off-white cloudiness covered their pupils and most of their iris’, nasty scars plastered across their eyes. As for the rest of the qunari’s face, they wore a navy-blue mask over their mouth, similar to the Viper’s.
“I... I’m okay, just got a little scare is all”
The qunari’s hand let go of her as the stood straight again, the taller person towering around two feet above Mila, so odds were that they were nearly the same age as Mila.
“Zephyr Wilfred, and you are- Mila"
Mila looked at them a little confused, “how do you know my name?”
Zephyr’s heavily damaged ears perked, and their head turned slightly, almost as if they were listening to someone, “big raven-black curls, brown eyes, brown skin, yes, that is you, lovely to meet you”, the qunari held their hand out again, Mila then took notice of how they looked, also very heavily scarred, their dark bluey-grey skin covered in light grey slashes, following up into long, sharp, obsidian-black nails, Mila was shocked they didn’t tear her dress when they caught her.
“Umm, nice to meet you too, are you here alone?” the young woman asked, shaking Zephyr’s hand.
“No, Tama and I met the First Talon and his husbands on the way into the... mirror portal”
“The Eluvian?”
“Yes, that, so she’s kind of trailing behind talking to them”
Mila’s heart did rejoice at the fact that Kage, Lucanis and Spite managed to make the wedding even with everything going on, however she still wondered about the qunari Crow in front of her, at least she assumes they’re a Crow due to the outfit.
“Warden Kage speaks very fondly of you, your father as well, you all mean so much to him as far as I can tell, when Tama received the invitation from your First Warden, it would’ve been a crime to refuse”, Mila couldn’t tell if they meant that literally or not, they spoke so formally yet their voice was rugged and husky, like they’d been smoking fifty a day.
“Well, I’m glad you and your Tama could make it, Zephyr”
“Likewise, Tama adores the First Warden and High Constable, she says they remind her of her and Aad when he was alive”, Mila took a second to try and remember what that word meant, suddenly recognising it as ‘grandfather’.
“They are a strong couple”
“Mm, are they around?”
“They’re with the groom and betrothed right now, you should see- ummm, meet them during the ceremony” Mila corrected herself mid-sentence, unsure if what she just said was appropriate to them, “don’t worry, I’ve heard worse”
“I... I’m sorry”
“You’re fine, yes, I am indeed blind, and yes, I can get around by myself, so don’t worry about ‘babysitting’ me or anything, anything else?”
“No...?”
“Alright, now, may I search for our seats?”
“Yeah, of course, they’re in the front, beside Antoine and Evka’s”
Zephyr politely bowed to the human woman before casually walking off to the seats, Mila watched the qunari find their assigned seat with ease, the girl wondered exactly how before continuing on to get the extra chairs.

“Uncle Kage, Uncle Lucanis, Uncle Spite!!!”
Claude waved and ran up to the big qunari man with open arms; Kage too spread his muscular arms open and caught the little dwarf in a snug embrace, picking up the child like he weighed nothing while his husbands and the other qunari next to him laugh sweetly.
“Hey little ankle-biter, how ya doing?”
“Good, Clemmie and I are helping with the chairs”
Amani put a hand on her heart as Kage giggled in awe at Claude, “oh, they’re so adorable at that age~”
“He’s gonna grow into a fighter just like his Mama, aren’t ya, kiddo?”
The small dwarven boy flexed in response, making his Uncles laugh, “he’ll have to train really hard to surpass me”, Evka’s voice echoed from the Eastern exit, Antoine striding beside his wife.
“Mama is really strong!”
The Warden couple chuckled to each other as they came up to the group, “so glad you all could make it, is everything going okay, Kage?” the elven Warden asked, taking his son from the other man’s arms, “things are calm at the moment, but we have reason to believe our final fight will be soon, then hopefully this will all be over”
“We’ll send you as much Warden back up as you need”
“Forever grateful to you both, really, Neve and Bel are definitely holding you to minding Krystal when this is all done” the qunari Warden snickered, “and we’ll be more than happy to do so”.
Evka felt a little tug on her side, Clement was looking for her attention, “hey sweetie, you want up?”
{Uncle Kage, up}
“Big Uncle Kage, someone wants up~” Evka gestured to the younger boy who was making grabby hand at the qunari, “haha, come here, kiddo”, Kage picked up the curly hair dwarf and lifted him up in the air before settling him in his arms.
Clem giggled as his Uncle hugged him, “you two will really have your hands full once this one gets here” Lucanis joked, gesturing at the dwarven woman’s showing belly, “speaking from experience?”
“Five kids ain’t easy but were happy”
“Bianca. Layla. And our boys. They. Will. Be. Strong. We. Raise. Them. Well” Spite added.
“I remember when my Zeze was this little, it’s a wonder how child can grow into such strong, ferocious fighters” Amani gushed, her gentle voice was so soothing to every ear, her sandy eyes shined at the innocent children in Kage and Antoine’s hold.
“Tama, I thought we spoke about calling me that in public”
A rumbly, husky voice spoke from behind the dwarf and elf, giving them a little jump, “oh sorry, dear, I forgot” Amani apologized to the younger qunari standing across from her.
“Salut, you must be Zephyr” Antoine greeted the young Crow, presenting his free hand for a handshake.
“High Constable Antoine, pleasure”, Zephyr shook the elf’s hand gently, their talon-like nails accidently brushing off Antoine’s dorsal.
“First Warden Evka Ivo, pleasure to meet you as well” the qunari turned in Evka’s general direction, their misty eyes pointing above the woman’s head, “nice to meet you as well, Zephyr”
“Zeph, darling, you don’t need to be so formal” the old lady stated, leaning over to whisper to Lucanis, “even outside the Diamond, they don’t switch off”
The assassin snickered as well as his demon.
Suddenly, the laughter was interjected by a curious toddler.
“Are you blind?” Claude blatantly asked the young qunari.
“Claude!”
“What?”
“Son, you can’t just ask questions like that” Antoine said before Zephyr added, “it’s fine, he’s a child, he doesn’t know better, yes, I am blind”
“My twin brother is deaf”
“Is that so?”
“Zephyr, I am so sorry” Evka interrupted, “why, you’re not the one who took my sight”
The atmosphere felt slightly awkward now, but it was quickly saved by Warden Greta who appeared from the Western stairs, “the ceremony will begin soon, we shall be take our seats in about five minutes”
“Thank you, Greta, we can show you to your seats”
“I already found them, Tama, I’ll be at out seating if you need me”
“Alright, dear”
Zephyr walked away, leaving an odd vibe with the group, “did I say something?” the dwarven woman asked concerned, “oh no, my dear, Zeph isn’t really... well, they’re not used to being around other people and they aren’t the best with words... it’s nothing against either of you at all”.
Both Wardens let out a sigh of relief, the thought of offending someone so close to this lovely lady would’ve weighed heavily on them.
Kage gave Clem back to his mother and went with his husbands to their chairs while Amani, Evka, Antoine and the boys did the same.

Everyone sat quietly in their places.
Watching the two soon to be newly-weds stand in front of each other with sweet smiles on their faces.
“You look gorgeous, Flynn~” Martin whispered.
The physician giggled and gently held their future husband’s hand, “you too~”.
Antoine stood off to the side of Martin, holding a small box in his hand while Warden Augusten was stood right in between the two betrothed, “one this day, we celebrate the union of our own Physician Flynn and Warden Martin...” the elder Warden began, everyone’s mouths shut as they paid attention to the words.
“These two souls met under dire circumstances, and because of that, they found light in each other through one of the darkest times in history...”
Martin and Flynn faced each other, holding one another’s hands, the physician softly stroked the Warden’s knuckles with their thumb as they both listened to Augusten’s eulogy.
“Through loss, through blight, through the near end of the world, nothing tore these two apart and now they bind themselves together till death, till they cross the fade hand in hand, Martin...”, the old man passed the speech onto his fellow Warden, Martin cleared his throat anxiously to give his vows.
“Flynn...” he began, his partner staring at him with beautiful brown eyes.
“...when we first met, I was a wreck, I constantly came to you with broken bone, flesh wounds, concussions and so on...”, the physician chuckled a bit, along with everyone sat watching them.
“... when I’d sit in the healer's tent and we’d just talk as you were tending to me, it was the happiest I’d ever been in life... I didn’t really have anyone growing up, I mean I had friends, but somehow, I always felt lonely with them... when I became a Warden, I was fine with it because I had nothing to lose...... but then there’s you”
Flynn gingerly squeezed Martin’s hand, comforting him through his speech.
“After so many times in the healers, when I went into battle... I kinda hoped I’d get injured, just so I’d have an excuse to see you” Martin laughed as he confessed that, making his partner and friends snicker as well, “I’m not alone anymore, because of you I have friends, family and now... you’re the love of my life~”
A sweet wave of ‘awws’ gently erupted from the crowd, making the two blush a little, “I’ve been told how difficult love can be for Wardens... our fate is unpredictable, the chance of losing each other at any moment... it’s terrifying...”.
Antoine and Evka gave each other knowing looks from across the way after hearing that part, knowing full well what he was referring to.
“But... I was also told that it’s a stupid thing to be afraid of... nobody knows when or how they’re gonna die... we’re not special, we just anticipate...”, Martin subtly looked behind him at the elf, giving him an appreciative expression, “so, I ain’t wasting our time being afraid of losing you... I’m marrying you today, and I’m gonna love and cherish you in our marriage for as long as I can”
“Marty...” Flynn whispered, their voice choked slightly as a few tears escape their eyes.
“I love you, Flynn... I love you more than anything”.
Martin lifted the physician’s hand up to his face, very softly kissing their knuckles before they proceeded with their part of the speech.
“Martin... before I met you, I lost so many people that were important to me in my life, my parents, Oskar and Marta... the only people I felt familiar and comfortable around were gone, except for Evka and Antoine...”
The other Warden couple smiled at the mention of their names.
“Focusing on taking care of my patients helped but... I missed my family... they were all taken from me, only I was left alive... blighted... poisoned... when I was saved, I had no idea how to handle sensing the blight, Evka and Antoine did their best to help understand it, but I was still carrying so grief... I was overwhelmed, stressed and just generally depressed...”
Antoine and Evka glanced at each other with sad looks before continuing to listen to Flynn’s speech.
“You always turned up to the tent with a big, dopey smile on your face, even when you looked like you just fell of a thousand-mile-tall cliff...” the physician chuckled, “... you made me laugh with your dumb jokes, even when I was really sad... you intrigued me with your stories... I just felt... happy around you”
Blue eyes gazed at the physician with pure love; Martin rubbed his love’s hands as he paid attention to their lovingly voice.
“I always wished you would just stay in the tent forever so I can see and listen to you all day... now you can, soon I’ll get to see your face and hear your voice everyday... and I’ll never get tired of it~”
Martin and Flynn shared soft smiles with each other again, “I love you so much, Marty~”
Augusten the silently signalled to Antoine, the elf making his way over to the couple with the box in his hands, opening it up to reveal two rings, one gold, one silver.
Martin picked out the gold ring while Flynn picked up the silver one, Antoine then retreated to his spot in the row beside his wife and children.
“Flynn, do you take Warden Martin MacLeod as your husband?” the elder asked as the physician slipped the silver ring on Martin’s finger.
“I do”
“Martin, do you take Physician Flynn Licht-”
“Yes, I do” Martin interrupted, putting the gold ring on Flynn’s finger, “you didn’t let me finish”
“Sorry, I’m such really excited”, Flynn and Martin laughed again as the older Warden rolled his eyes.
“Well then, by the power vested in me, I pronounce you both partners in life... you may now-”
Before Augusten could finish, Flynn grabbed their now husband and dipped him down in their arms as they kissed him.
Everyone cheered and clapped, well most anyway, Holden rang a loud wolf whistle out to the newly-weds as his daughter smirk and rolled her eyes next to him. Evka and Antoine clapped and leaned into each other as they witnessed a huge milestone in their friend’s lives.
Kage pointed a finger upward, an explosion of colourful sparks burst into the sky, Lucanis and Spite getting distracted by their husband’s beautiful magic.
Claude made a disgusted sound, looking away as if he was gonna vomit meanwhile his twin just lightly patted his hands together, trying to mimic the clapping that he couldn’t hear.
Everyone rejoiced.
The heart-warming ceremony soon coming to a close.

.
“Congratulations you two, those speeches were so beautiful”, Kage wrapped his strong arms around the new married couple, lifting them up into a sweet embrace.
“Thanks, Kage, that means a lot”
Lucanis and Spite watched as their dearest husband congratulated his friends, the other Warden couple coming up beside them, Antoine had a sleeping Clement in his arms while Claude stayed at his mother’s side, holding her hand.
“That was some ceremony, wasn’t it?” Lucanis said, his demon leaning his head on his shoulder, “Makes. Me. Think of. Our wedding”, Spite purred, linking his host’s arm with his.
“Glad to see you three doing okay, by the way” Evka said.
“We’ll be very much okay once that puppeteer scum is dead... then we shall get a well-earned vacation~”, the assassin scratched his husband’s neck as he continued to purr, louder.
“Give Wylan out best wishes as well, we hoped to see him through this” Antoine told the couple with care.
“We will”

Mila had gathered the cards from the chairs and put them in a little pile.
The young woman set the stack down on a crate in the East storage, taking a breather from the big event and everyone’s conversation, until she heard a distinctive voice behind her.
“Miss Mila”
She turned around to find Zephyr, standing straight and proper in the entrance, facing in her general direction.
“Oh, hi, uumm, Zephyr, yeah?”
“Yes... I... have come to apologize”
Zeph slowly approached the human woman, their tall frame forming a shadow over her, “apologize for what?” Mila asked confused, the Crow walked a little closer to her before stopping dead-set in front of her, pointing their head down as if to look at her, “I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable earlier, when we met... and if I freaked you out”
“Oh, no no, it’s okay, really, it takes a lot to scare me honestly, don’t worry”
“Is that so...”
Zephyr held a hand out to the young lady again, their pitch-black claws making their hand look bigger than it already is, Mila placed her hand in it.
Suddenly, the qunari bowed and got on their knee, stunning the woman with surprise, “I’d like to meet you again sometime, Mila, a treat from me for my behaviour tonight”
“O- oh, I...”
“You need not accept if you don’t wish to see me again-”
“No, no!! I mean... I’d... like to”
Mila couldn’t tell what expression Zeph was making due to the mask over their mouth, but their blank, cloud eyes looked up at her, or in her direction at least, slightly widened as they stood up again.
“I shall send you a letter when I am available to meet with you, I have quite a few contracts this week”
The human woman stuttered, trying to get something out but she had no clue what to say.
Zephyr turned away from Mila, walking away back to the entrance of the storage area, but they stopped real quick before leaving to say, “until we meet again, Mila~”, the girl’s heart skipped a beat, the rumble in the qunari’s voice when they spoke those final words sent an odd chill down her back.
“Until... we... you too...”
‘What just happened?!?’ Mila thought to herself, leaning against the crates while trying to recount that scenario in her head again and again.
“Hellooo~”
Yet another voice came from the doorway, a familiar woman’s voice. Evka stood there with a smug expression on her face, “soooo, what was that about, huh~?”
“I have no idea what you are talking about”
Mila zipped past the dwarf who was still looking at her with a cheeky smirk.

Evka and Antoine walked along the path back to their cabin.
Admiring the majestic night sky.
Claude and Clement were both fast asleep in Antoine’s arms, exhausted from all the excitement from today.
Evka let out another tired sigh, catching her husband’s attention.
“Tired, mon amour?”
“Mmm...” the dwarf managed to get out, her eyes drifting shut and open again.
“I could carry you too, if you like~”
“Ha, yeah, like I’m letting you try that again”
The elf let out a deep chuckle before following up with another offer, “I could ‘help you relax’ once we get home, the boys are already out~”
The dwarf smirked, giving her love a confirming look.
What could they say, love was certainly in the air that night.
