Condemned for Wanting Both

Summary:

They say you can’t walk into Mordor. Veronica never meant to walk into the story at all. When a tragic accident sends the English teacher—and devoted Faramir enthusiast—tumbling from her world into Middle-earth, she is given a new name, Nicariel, and a dangerous secret to keep. Armed with foreknowledge of the War of the Ring and a scholar’s love for the gentle Captain Faramir, she believes she knows how the tale must unfold.

Her plans shatter at the Council of Elrond. To steer fate away from disaster, she exposes Boromir’s hidden temptation, branding herself both seer and adversary. Forced together on the Fellowship’s desperate quest, Nicariel and Boromir clash in a relentless battle of wills—each a living insult to the other’s deepest convictions.

But the road to Mordor strips away certainties. The noble Faramir is her dream made flesh, yet it is the proud, flawed, and infuriatingly compelling Boromir who challenges her at every turn, forcing her to question the very narrative she swore to protect.

Condemned for Wanting Both is a sweeping, emotionally charged fantasy about destiny, desire, and the cost of rewriting legend. The fate of Middle-earth is written. The fate of her heart is not.

Chapter Text

Teaser/Trailer Video

In the snows of Caradhras, temptation first stirred. Boromir of Gondor – proud, burdened, breaking – reached for what he could not have. But it wasn't just the Ring that called to him.

She fell into his world like a storm no map foretold. Nicariel – Veronica in her bones – carrying secrets heavier than mithril. She saw his fall before it happened… and still her heart raced when he looked at her.

"What if I roll the stone away?" What if the cage of duty cracks, and the only sin left is denying this pull? His mockery hides hunger. Her silence hides fire. Arguments flare like beacons in the dark. Protective arms shield more than hobbits. And in stolen moments, when the world forgets, they remember each other.

"I know a place… It's somewhere I go when I need to remember your face." Do you think I have forgotten? About you?

Guilty as sin for the thoughts that keep them awake. Condemned for wanting both: the fight for Middle-earth… and each other.

Watch the teaser. Feel the clash. Then step into the story – where one outsider's knowledge might save him… or doom them both.
