Summary
Peter flaps a hand in the air, grasping for words. All he’s left with is the thought that’s been running through his head all night: “There was this dilapidated building out near Hell’s Kitchen, rotted all the way through, and I kept staring at it and thinking, This thing could go down at the smallest breeze.” Peter gestures at the roof over their head. “Even this apartment could go down easily enough.”
May rubs his hand. “Buildings don’t just collapse, Peter. Did something happen to make you worried about that?”
Peter shakes his head. He doesn’t ever give her details. He doesn’t tell her about the intimate, gnawing kind of horror that came with being trapped beneath a collapsed building and knowing no one was coming to save you; the way it felt like his bones were being ground into the damp cement; how he’d felt small and very soft, and how his thoughts keep going over the components of a building—rusted metals, long nails strong enough to jut through cement—and how that might’ve pierced him if he’d moved wrong, like a fork pulled through slow cooked meats.
(Peter learns to cope and communicate with the people around him, post-Homecoming.)

Summary
When Tony tried to urge the homeless guy sleeping on the steps of the Tower’s loading dock to move, he never expected that he'd found Hydra’s pet assassin—James "Bucky" Barnes.
Now, after months of keeping his presence a secret from the Avengers and helping Barnes learn to cope with both his returning memories and the modern world, Hydra is back for their favorite toy and Tony must call in old friends to save the life of the man he just might have come to care for a little too much.

Summary
After Afghanistan and Iron Man, SHIELD gave Tony a choice. He could out himself as Iron Man, or claim it was a bodyguard, and hide his face from the world.
Agent Agent never said anything, but Tony had hacked SHIELD's servers and knew they wanted him to go the bodyguard route. Yes to Iron Man and no to Tony Stark, and all that.
That, as well as keeping Pepper safe, made him go with the bodyguard cover, and flimsy as he thought it was, no one questioned it.
Of course, why would they? Tony Stark was no superhero.

Although, it's less easy to keep a secret identity with a bunch of superheroes and spies living in your house.

Summary
That's it. He's going insane. Whatever's going on in front of him is nothing but an illusion- a hallucination. Not-Tony isn't really there, he's just a product of wishful thinking and too many hours spent daydreaming.
Peter closes his eyes tightly against the stinging of his eyes before opening them again, fully expecting Not-Tony to have disappeared. But, no, he's still there. Sitting on the couch with a growing puddle of coffee at his feet.
"May?" Peter says, hating the way his voice cracks. "May, I need to see a therapist."
The tears spill over as Not-Tony raises a hand to his mouth and pushes his sunglasses to his forehead, revealing horrified eyes. They're exactly like the real Tony's had looked- in fact, everything about Not-Tony is exactly the same as real Tony.
It's not him.
(Peter Parker's mental health took a dive when he learned that his parents weren't coming home. It never stopped dropping. Tony doesn't find out how bad things are until, after his revival, Peter refuses to recognize who he is.)
