“No, I haven’t, which I’m surprised, I expected him to be stuck to you like a magnet all night since parties are not his thing… or yours.”
Mike sighed, “Yeah, I kind of expected that too.” As soon as the words left his mouth, he looked up and saw Will walk outside with…. “Fucking Chance, what the fuck?” Well, he did not mean to say that out loud, but considering the look on Dustin’s face, he did.

Mike and Will get into an argument right before they leave.

Summary
It's the months between March 1986 and November 1987 and the Byers family are staying at the Wheeler household.
Mike and El have recently broken up (it was for the best) and Mike feels lost without an El or Will by his side.
Will and Mike have never been the same since before Will moved to Lenora. They haven't had a real conversation in months.
The party has split up, Max is still in her coma, and the days are filled with heartfelt moments and tough conversations.
During the time Mike has to reflect on his and El's break up and the distance that has come between him and Will's friendship, he comes to a realisation.

He looked to be in his late forties. Stubble lining his jaw. There were faint lines around his eyes—earned ones, the kind that came from years of squinting at sunlight or laughing too hard.
He took one look at them—
—and stopped dead.
The ceramic mug slipped slightly in his grip.
For a long, suspended second, nobody breathed.
The man’s eyes—warm brown, familiar brown—locked onto Mike’s face.
His hand began to shake.
Slowly, carefully, like the cup might explode if he moved too fast, he set the coffee down on a nearby table.

"Ferarri's out there—don't die, alright?", Dustin warns over the intercom, and Mike scoffs, nodding.
"I'm not gonna die. Watch this—I'm gonna blow your fucking mind, Henderson!", he yelled egotistically, flooring it and blasting off at rapid speed.
Byers scoffs at the jump start, and too, places his foot to the pedal.
The Ferrari gains speed, only just short of Mercedes. The two vehicles battle on the tracks, Mercedes leading due to the headstart.
(A rivalry between two not-so-humble F1 drivers, Will Byers & Mike Wheeler, or maybe... a heated rivalry?)
