Summary
When Fives is killed, his essence refuses to become one with the force, instead, searching out the easiest sentient being to attach itself to. After years working beneath Palpatine, Fox has had his mental shields completely eroded and his defences completely shattered, making him the perfect person for Fives' essence to transfer into. The two of them must figure out how all this strange 'jedi stuff' works and how they can both coexist long enough to save their brothers and if they're lucky, perhaps the rest of the galaxy too.

This is the sixth time Fives has died and come back, but the first time he’s gotten shot by one of the vod’e.
He sucks a deep breath into his aching lungs and exhales, “Fuck.”Fives and Fox go on a joyride, there is some angst, some fluff, and everything turns out alright in the end.

Later, they would have to clear the mess on the terrace and wash their dirty dishes and put away their leftovers. The wine would either be finished or stoppered and set in the fridge to stay chilled because Riyo refused to drink warm wine. They would have to wash their faces and brush their teeth and settle down in their bed with Fox’s side nearest the door. They would find themselves wrapped in each other and Fox would kiss her neck where her skin still remained smooth and unmarked. An unfortunate side effect of a love shared only in the shadows of unjust laws.
Later, the galaxy would judge them for the crimes they committed and they would watch their family be threatened by the very institution they swore to protect. Love would not always be enough of a force on its own and they would have to learn what that meant for them when it happened.
This takes place prior to Chapter 3 of Mhi Ba'juri Verde. While it functions as a prequel in the series, it can be read as an independent story.

Summary
Cody has a scar now, and it’s the only thing that differentiates him from Fox appearance-wise. For one, they both have the same circles under their eyes. Fox assumes that’s what comes with being a Commander. Their hands are the same, too, damaged and bruised at all times.
But the biggest difference Fox sees when he looks at Cody isn’t the scar. It’s the rage. Cody doesn’t wear that same rage.
Fox’s hands ache with the need to punch something.
Or: Fox dealing with Senators, little brothers, the terrifying ordeal of asking for help and a menace called Quinlan Vos.
