Genesis was no hero. But he has to try, anyway.
AKA
What do you do when the Goddess has blessed you with her gift of light, and now you need to save the planet, except her other two chosen heroes are indisposed with mako poisoning? No, seriously, Genesis wants to know.

Summary
Gaia can't be saved, Jenova's poison too far reaching and Sephiroth tied too closely to her Chosen One. Unable to break that bond, she chooses to steer into it. She completes their bond fully and sends Cloud back in time. This time, if one is killed, the other is halved. Cloud can work with that.
Sephiroth gains knowledge of this bond in vague dreams. A blonde warrior who is a sight to behold, but whose death would mean his own. If he is real, he must protect him at all costs.
Too bad nobody told Cloud what Sephiroth wants.
Or; that one time-travel fic where Cloud is just trying to save Gaia whilst avoiding Sephiroth until last. Sephiroth is just trying to find and protect the blonde warrior whose life is inexplicably tied to his own.

Summary
It was one of Sephiroth's greatest treasures.
He held the orb to the light and watched the magic swirl in the summon. Did Cloud sleep inside, waiting for his call? Or the sense of time vanish within the materia, swept away by the Lifestream?
If he stared hard enough, perhaps he would be able to see Cloud's fluffy hair within the orb. If he polished the surface, maybe he could see the outline of Cloud's magnificent blade among the swirl of power. If he poured his magic into the materia, calling for the summon, maybe Cloud would keep him company. Cloud was more than just a mere summon.

Summary
Cloud has been playing Cat-and-Mouse with Genesis for a while now. After all, they are supposed to be packmates, as appointed by the Goddess. But Cloud isn’t interested in his destined packmates anymore, especially not after Angeal’s betrayal of Zack, Zack’s death, and Sephiroth’s betrayal of everyone. Genesis is never going to win the game he insists on playing.
So when Cloud wakes up in the past, he knows exactly what to do. His pack doesn’t deserve a second chance, but a lot of other people do.
Genesis, meanwhile, only petitioned the Goddess to remedy his own mistakes. He didn't mean to take his surviving packmate along with him, but he won't object either. Cloud never believed his sincerity, but surely he will now that everyone has been given a second chance... right?
Catch me if you can.

Summary
Cloud never seemed to get a break.
For the past year, old memories kept plaguing him, of people and past times that he just couldn’t seem to grasp.
His cycle of misfortune just kept on spinning.
The Livestream also hadn’t calmed down yet, still agitated.
In conclusion: Everything was kinda weird at the moment
-------------------At the same time as Cloud was sent to look for complications at the former nibelheimian reactor that may have led to the Livestreams difficulties, four long dead Individuals have awoken at the places of their death.

Summary
The goddess may have been an agent of the planet, her foremost, concentrated voice... but she was also mischief incarnate when it suited her. Cloud would have cursed her in every language he knew, if not for the fact that he was now, apparently, a wolf.
And also back in time.
Cloud Strife would have loved trying to figure that one out, but a certain preteen redhead by the name of Genesis Rhapsodos was currently dangled around his neck and cooing about his “Gift of the Goddess”. Oh, Hel. Minerva was going to have a lot to answer for.
