Summary
Was this what being on fire felt like? The feeling of burning flesh, the smell of charred skin. Rotting animals, smoke, every bad thing as a smell. Energy coursed through her, pricking her like a trillion of the sharpest needles, stabbing every single cell of her body. It burned, as if she had been consumed by fire, consumed by the sun, consumed by everything and nothing at once. Perhaps the actual moment of the lightning striking her wasn’t more than a few seconds, but the pain lingered. Her vision didn’t work, her eyes were not seeing. It was as if her whole brain was focused on one thing: pain.
Or: Lumine gets caught in a storm. She doesn’t have very good memories of storms.
