“Highness,” Tim called, relieved to finally find him. Prince Jason was lounging under the shade of a tree, book in hand and a half-eaten apple in the other. He slowly dragged his eyes up to regard his knight. Tim stopped a few paces away, bowing his head as he awaited permission to approach further. His hand tightened on the hilt of his sword as he heard the prince bite into his apple.
“Took you long enough,” Prince Jason said after swallowing.
Tim looked up to see him raise his hand, inviting him to step closer. Tim did, taking the prince’s bare hand in his gloved one. He raised their joined hands to his lips, briefly closing his eyes as he kissed Prince Jason’s fingers. He stepped back, releasing his hand as he straightened.~♘~
Tim Hill is Prince Jason’s knight, oath-bound to protect him in addition to his personal reasons for serving in the castle. He’s kept his past a secret for years, but a would-be assassin threatens to ruin everything he’s worked for.

Hood’s foot pushed off the lip of a building’s roof, his grapple embedded in the building opposite. As he swung above the busy city street, Firefly turned back around to face them, taking a few shots aimed at Hood. Or more accurately, above him. He began to plummet towards the street, his line snapped by the beam of light. His limbs twisted frantically, reaching for a ledge, a railing - anything - but there wasn’t anything close enough.

Jason Todd has a plan. Get into the Charitable Education Associations Annual Masquerade, complete his mission, and leave. He didn't expect to get stymied before he even got in the doors by an unexpected layer of security. Already planning just how many security guys he's going to have to go through to make his escape, he's just as surprised as everyone else when the gorgeous young man sent out to confirm his invite let's him through... as his date!
Suddenly Jason has just a single night to convincingly fake a relationship, complete his mission, reconnect with someone from his past whom he was never able to leave behind, uncover the sinister goings-on behind the scenes of a charity school, dodge both Batman and Nightwing as they stalk him through the ballroom, try to save a bunch of kids from a horrible fate, make up for a mistake he'd never even known he'd made and somehow, someway, try to rescue the last good bit of his childhood that he remembers from the forces trying to control him and maybe also from himself as well.

"The one you have a crush on and look at him from afar, but you deny it and never take the first step because you’re a dramatic bitch?"
"Yeah."
"What? You have finally talked to him?"
"No."
"Then what?"
"I hit him with the bike."
Roy was silent, looking at him and blinking a few times at the news. But he didn't have to say anything, Jason knew he was totally fucked.

Dick’s voice is hoarse with suppressed fury. “So, you’re just exposing us to this, this outrageous substance, and torturing us by leaving us here, bound and drugged?”
He has to know that’s not all. But he’s asking anyway, to get as much information as possible out of the villain before they’re left to their own devices. It’s what they’ve all been trained to do.
Tim squeezes his eyes shut, knowing what Joker is going to say. Knowing exactly what the evil madman is planning to do.
Damn it. Damn it all to hell, not here, not now. Not like this.

Tim turns to him with a quick, shy smile before rapidly climbing the pole, waiting for Jason to position himself under him. “Like this?” he asks, arching his back, gripping the pole tightly between his shapely little thighs and beginning a slow, grinding descent. Jason did not realize until this moment it was possible to be so jealous of a fuckin’ pole.
Oh fuck, I’m gonna die again. Of embarrassment or blue balls, just take your fuckin’ pick.
“Yeah, Baby Bird,” he says, almost not recognizing his voice for how throaty and deep it sounds right now. “Just like that.”
