Summary
To most, the wind was unpredictable. Sometimes, it was an ally, letting sailors go by without so much as a complaint. Other times, though, it was dangerous. It destroyed towns, it destroyed homes.
It tore apart families, leaving those left behind mourning.
It really just depended on how the Wind Gods felt that day. They, or more specifically, Cyclos, didn't care for their pleas.
There's an important part to the first sentence. "To most". This boy, the young Wind Waker, Hero of Winds; the Gods favored him, one could say. And so, he didn't fear the wind. The wind protected him, after all. It was his guardian.

Summary
The path of the club is clear, and it moves fast enough that Wind has only just begun to step back when the world shifts and he’s weightless.
Panic fills him momentarily before a combination of previous experiences and blinding pain overwrites it. His legs kick at nothing before they fold up to prepare for an incoming landing, even as his flank burns, sharpness of impact and adrenaline dulled pricks of open wounds. Wind has been sent flying countless times, but he’s not landing as he’s expecting, and as his vision clears, he sees the edge of the cliffside shoot up his field of vision and past his reach in an instant.
OR
A whump comfort fic about Wind facing the fallout of a crazy fall alone, until he doesn't have to anymore.

Wind gets an arrow through his calf in the middle of a heated battle. In a moment of desperation, he downs a potion and gets himself directly back into the fight. This, he doesn’t realize until after the battle is over, heals the arrow inside of him.

“Just a few keese,” Warriors said a bit sheepishly as he took the food and sat down. “Startled me a bit, is all. They’re dealt with now, though.”
“I’m glad that you’re alright,” Sky said in response, looking up from his food and sending Warriors one of those soft smiles. “We were worried for a minute.”
Warriors gave him a grin. “I appreciate the concern, but I’m just fine, no need to worry about me.”
Wind caught movement in the corner of his eye, and he glanced over to see -
Warriors.
Warriors, translucent, hovering beside them all with an awful, stricken look on his face.

Summary
“What are you doing?” Twilight asks, giving a significant look to the book loosely held in his lap. Wind immediately snaps it shut. “Do y’ like the waterwheel?”
“...Is that what it’s called?” Wind asks, keeping his eyes trained on the structure. After a moment of deliberation, he opens the book again and scribbles out his previous note. He can feel Twilight watching him, and when he whips his head up in preparation to deliver a withering glare, he simply finds the rancher looking at him curiously. He deflates a bit, at that.
“Yeah,” the rancher confirms, giving the home across from them another significant look. “Forgot for a minute that you wouldn't've known that.”
Or, the Heroes of Courage are always curious, and Wind is no exception. Sometimes the simplest advancements in one era are groundbreaking in another. There's not a lot of information about what life on the mainland is like in Wind's time, so he's trying to document some of it while he has the chance.
And, unsurprisingly, Twilight is a good brother. Written for a sprint prompt in the LU Discord!

Summary
Something about Wind—that he tries not to think about very often—is that his hands aren’t very… gentle.
They used to be. For his little sister when he would brush her hair and sing to her before bed, or for his grandma when he would help her with dinner, kneading fluffy dough and swiping at bites of veggies before she could add them into whatever soup she was making that night.
Now, they’ve been torn down and built up so many times that he can barely see past the scar tissue. Hard work and rope burns and a sword through the head of the worst enemy Hyrule has ever known have forced his hands to adapt.

Wind doesn’t have the Hero’s Spirit. This changes everything, and nothing at all.

Summary
Weird dreams haunted Wind’s nights. They weren’t the usual nightmares, instead he dreamed about dancing postboxes and screaming trees, begging for just a sip of Forest Water. He woke up confused, not remembering where he was, searching blindly for his treasure charts and feeling the sway of the ship. He hadn’t felt this seasick in a long time – the rations must’ve gone bad.
Or, Wind contracts a strange illness and a squad of heroes goes on a quest for a cure. Twilight has many thoughts. Time just wanted a break with his wife. Warriors definitely needs a hug. There's some adventure, some fun, some angst and a bit of timeline talk sprinkled on top of it.

Summary
Wind is different from the other heroes. It's not just the fact that he's the youngest, though that's definitely a part of it. It's the fact that almost every other hero has these shared experiences that they can talk about around the campfire that bring them all joy, but when he does it everyone looks at him like he's grown a second head.
Wind grew up in a drowned Hyrule, with foreign creatures, unique travel methods, and a Triforce that never really belonged to him. How does the life he's lived affect his experiences with the others, and their Hyrules?
A 5+1 styled story about 5 different ways that Wind feels out of place compared to the other heroes, and 1 where he feels right at home.

Wind doesn't have the Hero's Spirit.
Hylia thought that she had the third timeline under control. The Hero's Spirit was gone with the Hero of Time. She had limited Ganon's power with the force of the great sea. She would try and stop him herself with the forces of nature. Except one boy named Link wanted to save his sister. That's fair enough. She'd help him out a little, get them off the island, and... why is he demanding the triforce?
Or,
While Hylia is trying to get three separate timelines settled, Wind forces her to make him an official hero. Every time she tries to give him a peaceful life, the kid says "nah."

Wind is definitely the most charismatic and cheerful of the Chain.
Among the whole group, he is the one who brings joy with his innocent jokes and enthusiastic talk about the sea, family and the next great discovery he has made while traveling with the great heroes of Hyrule. He always has an optimistic attitude and intelligent solutions to conflicts, even if they are sometimes out of the ordinary.
In short, Wind is a good boy.
That's why the rest of the group is quite surprised to see the youngest of the heroes with a frown and cheeks puffed out like a squirrel, as they all walk through the snowy meadows of Hyrule.
