Kai didn’t know half of it.
He was too young to properly understand the reason for king Enji’s first visit ten years ago, futile diplomacy wasn’t something he was familiar with. He remembers that Touya was taken to the most senior healers along with Pops and king Enji himself, at least six times during the weeks they stayed at visitors, and that Touya evaded his questions expertly for such a young child. He remembers Touya said it was nothing, that his dad was just weird; when Kai had asked who needed the help of their expert healers, Touya shrugged and created new rules for a new game he pulled out of thin air.
Kai understands now, at least some of it.
