Summary
Robin’s back straightens, as though to get a better look at the stranger further off, and her heart skips a beat. She has short, brown hair that is obviously permed but isn’t tacky and lips that shine amidst the lights directly above her, slightly parted as she exhales. Her cheekbones are high on her face and her jaw is refined, sharp but not jagged— just like the rest of her. She seems put-together and dainty but still fierce-looking.
Robin takes a deep breath but it’s more like a desperate gulp for air rather than anything else. Steve looks up at the sound she makes and furrows his brows, wiping at the sweat on his forehead. “What?”
She smacks at his arm as subtly as she can while still staring at her, refusing to move her head.
“Who in the hell is that?"

Summary
Robin scrunches her nose and her freckles cluster together in the spots of sunlight on her face like bees to honey. Thoughts pass through Nancy like a spring drizzle, there and then not anymore - warm and sweet and then gone. She wonders how soft Robin’s touch is, momentarily. If Nancy could just tuck herself into the cavern of her chest, her ribcage, and have her wrap her arms around Nancy’s backside until they were one beat of one heart. One word and then another, back and forth.
It would be a nice way to pass the day.
Nancy tucks her knees into her chest and wraps her arms around herself. It would be.
Warm and sweet and then gone.
Nancy goes to the Video Store looking for Steve and instead finds someone unexpected behind the counter.

Summary
Robin looks... pretty. Really pretty.
The thought should scare her, but it doesn’t, because the alcohol is thrumming behind her ribs and buzzing beneath her skin, liquid courage taking form.
She decides to admire. She thinks she deserves it, just this once.
Or: Robin stumbles upon Nancy at the Halloween party rather than Jonathon. From there, a strange yet profound friendship forms between the two of them. Robin yearns for more and Nancy aches deep inside.
