Seventeen years was a long time to spend trapped in survival mode, constantly forced to endure all of the hardships thrown his way. Philip had never been one to complain about his misfortunes, he did not whine about how unfair life had treated him. He simply endured. For the sake of survival, but also because he really didn't know what else to do. For Philip, carrying that constant weight around on his shoulders was becoming more and more unbearable as time went on. Living day after day after day subjected to unending torment had eventually left him with a difficult choice to make.
