"Hey there," Iceman murmurs, holding his hand out to Maverick. "C'mere, I won't hurt you. I promise."
There must be witchcraft or something in Iceman's voice- Maverick's pretty sure he wouldn't be losing his mind over it otherwise. Things only gets worse when his legs decide to move him towards Ice without his brain's permission.
"That's it," Ice says in that same low, almost hypnotic voice. He runs his fingers gently over Maverick's furry head, and it feels a little too good, because Maverick starts purring. "There you go. Aren't you pretty, huh? Yeah, you are. Got the prettiest green eyes I ever saw, you know that?"
Or, the one where Maverick gets turned into a cat and almost explodes when Ice pets him and tells him nice things. Twice.
