After Wifies’ death — a deliberate explosion that took his own life — Parrot’s world collapses into silence and routine. Each day looks the same: empty roads, untouched gear, long hours spent staring at nothing. He no longer travels, no longer explores. He only exists. Worse than the loneliness is the constant feeling of being watched, as if something unseen is standing just behind him whole time.
“Stop staring,” Parrot mutters to the air one evening.

Summary
Black shoes enter his vision, despite Wemmbu having not heard anyone approach. After a moment, their owner sits down, then lies down. Mirroring Wemmbu's position on his stomach.
"What are you doing, silly? The ground isn't very comfortable."
Rejoice hums, a smile on his face. Wemmbu watches him get comfortable. The man was never able to sit still for long. He looks exactly as Wemmbu remembers him. Golden yellow hair, shimmering blue eyes.

Summary
The day Wemmbu was born was the day his village collapsed into ruin.
The sky above the End, once a quiet stretch of violet dusk and drifting islands, had turned the color of bruised flesh. Smoke coiled upward in blackened ribbons, swallowing the constellations whole. The chorus of the village, once alive with low hymns and the whisper of wings cutting through air, had been replaced with screaming. Stone cracked. Towers groaned. Bridges of pale endstone splintered and fell into the void below, their descent marked only by fading echoes.
His mother held him against her chest as if her arms alone could keep the world from devouring him.

He would survive, but his youth would be anything but peaceful. He would try to prove himself, and live a life his mother would have never wanted him to go through.
