Predicting human behaviour was a simple matter of understanding their stimuli-response systems, and Herbert was more than proficient in the scientific method. Herbert’s new theory about the aggression of their re-animated subjects is related to the pineal gland, so he proposes that they make use of the Pretorius Resonator, an ill-fated invention created by a Miskatonic professor.
