Scratch that, it probably does.
Well, that may have been a little too straightforward, so he’ll explain the situation mentioned beforehand from the very beginning.
It was no surprise to anyone that Saparata sucks at maths, and when he says this, he doesn’t mean “B/C grade student”. He genuinely means he’s on the brink of failing maths. Don’t get him wrong, it’s not that he doesn’t care about maths, far from it, actually. He just couldn’t find it in himself to pay attention in class, especially with the upcoming exams fucking up his sleep schedule immensely.

On top of that, the classes were far too small to fit thirty-five students, and had too little chairs for each student, meaning a few had to sit down on the floor during class, one of them unfortunately being him.
It’s not like Saparata cared if he had to sit on the floor. Hell, he would’ve even preferred it if it meant that other people got to sit down on chairs. Besides, the floor was perfectly clean thanks to the school’s amazing cleaning staff, so it wasn’t an issue by his standards.
No, no. The issue was much, much bigger.

He took care of his health without any flaws, immaculately, following each routine down to the smallest details, never missing a beat.

From the second he got out, he could feel his head pounding, every bit of his body begging for him to rest, though he just brushed it off as after-effects of studying all night for a week or two straight, hoping it’d go away quickly or at least before he got to school.

His hand still hovered millimetres above the door, slightly shaking. After a brief moment, he felt it would be best to turn around and continue wandering the forest until he reached some sort of town, or at least another house that seemed to be occupied and could shelter him for the night, but just as he was about to turn around and walk away, the door opened, the creaking sound being emitted making him whip around instantly, a figure watching him from the slim gap of the door, before being opened wider. A tall elf with brown hair sticking about stood in front of him, olive green eyes looking him up and down while a confused yet concerned expression plastered on his face.

“Like you still love me.” Scar said, voice nothing short of somber yet full of rage.
He said it. After more than days worth of bottling up his anger, stress, confusion, guilt, melancholy and frustration, the emotions whirled inside him like a tornado, clashing with each other to form an ugly feeling that didn’t dare to show itself, not up until this moment.
The silence was loud, unbearably so. Both parties stood across each other in the wood building they called a base. Grian’s wings were puffed up and splayed behind him, creating a red, blue and yellow banded fan-like shape, one that Scar remembered carding his fingers through to get all the sand, dirt, debris and loose feathers out of them, carefully so as to not harm him.

In Jimmy’s defence, he was with friends when the message was sent. He couldn’t open his phone just to reply to photos of Scar’s cats when he was out at the arcade with Joel and Grian. The three had been planning this hangout for so long, it felt mean to waste time on replying to photos of the cats that he saw every day. He wasn’t saying that Scar wasn’t a high priority, he would never. The thing is though, Scar was prone to misunderstandings, and one thing led to another and before he knew it, he found himself knee-deep in a less-than-ideal situation.

What snaps him out of his thoughts is a head of pale-white hair that passes by in a flash, so quickly that Fluixon nearly mistakes it for snow. He whips his head around, but to his surprise, the person is nowhere to be seen. He assumes he’s just seeing things or mistook an animal—perhaps a stray brushbuddy—that crawled by. He’s half-tempted to search for the mystery person, but he stops himself from looking for them when he realises the time is far later than the time he planned on getting back. He’s certain that Elanuelo will genuinely yell at him, maybe even forbid him from leaving the house, so he rushes quickly to arrive back at the windowway he came in from, before flying the remaining distance to reach the atelier on time.
