Summary
Beverly Marsh figured she was a pretty unique case for her social workers. I mean, it’s not everyday you find a young girl who was left orphaned after her father was beaten to death with a slate, an ominous message inscribed on the wall in his blood.
Of course, said social workers would never expect it to be the doe eyes red head who had done the bludgeoning. The FBI marked it as a cold case, and young Beverly was due to be shipped off to extended family in Hawkins, Indianna very soon.
In her last weeks, Beverly resolved to spend as much time with the losers, no, her losers as she could. They hung out at the clubhouse, got milkshakes and trauma bonded. Days passed in a blur, and soon, too soon, Beverly only had three days left.

You just had to go and get a crush on your best friend, huh? Nice going, dumbass. Richie, who was loud and obnoxious, who teased him non-stop, who made inappropriate jokes about fucking his mother, who ruffled his hair and kissed his cheek just to annoy him, who called him Eddie Spaghetti.
He fucking liked Richie Tozier.
This was dangerous. Richie was his best friend, and you weren’t supposed to get feelings for your best friend, especially if you’re both boys.
So no one could find out. This was a secret that would live and die with him, even if it meant being slowly eaten away until he withered down to bones.
That was, until Bill and Bev started dating.

“Maybe it’s the flu, Eds.” He leans in and gives Eddie a shove. That’s it. Now everything makes sense. A joke, and the weight lifts a little. “You gonna take care of me? Kiss my forehead?”
“Fuck you. I’m never worrying about you again.”
“Oh… no…” Richie staggers forward like he’s been shot through the heart. “Tragedy! Eddie Kaspbrak doesn’t love me! What will I do now? Wait! I can always go for your mom… how’d you feel about me being your new dad, Eddie?”
Eddie stomps on his foot as hard as he can; which, honestly, isn’t very hard. He shoves his hands in his pockets and storms off toward the Derry synagogue. Richie jogs after him, acting like it’s all hilarious and wishing Stanley were done with the bird cult already. When Stan’s or anyone else is between Eddie and Richie, everything’s better. The electricity dies. The masochistic urge to confess everything shuts up. It’s just white noise. Some dumb, slightly outdated joke.
And he can finally breathe.*Or that one time I decided to rewrite It by Stephen King from Richie Tozier’s point of view, complete with flashbacks, flashforwards, and a future 1995 Derry where Richie and Eddie may or may not happen in the cutest way possible*.

a story in which stan and richie carefully curate the perfect ruse to fool all their friends. seems simple. but, it becomes a little complicated when the lie starts to feel a little too… real.OR: richie and stan fake date to prank the losers, and it arises some new feelings from bill and eddie. in the midst of it all, richie and stan get caught up in some feelings as well.
