2014 was supposed to be the season everything came together for Lewis Hamilton; his 2nd championship on the way, this was his year. But of course, then there's Nico fucking Rosberg, who's here to ruin everything. What began as a friendly rivalry turned into a year-long emotional torture that's would unleashed within their hotel rooms. Lewis is manipulative petty brat, Nico is a possessive fucker. Either of them can win the championship or their personal fucked up power/mind games. Or they can have each other. But not both.
It's basically a slow-burn (like real slow) childhood-friends-to-enemies-to-lovers. There's championship sabotage, Lewis using other drivers as jealousy bait, and Nico just doesn't wanna keep getting hurt by Lewis' games. They are two men who are obsessed with each other but too stubborn to admit what they want - until it's nearly too late.

Max lets go of his arm and there's actually a bit of throbbing afterwards Lewis notes, "Stop the bullshit, Lewis. What the fuck are you telling them." Max nods in the direction of where Lewis just had his interview.
"Just the truth." Lewis replies quietly, voice raw and weak and he has to avert his gaze for a bit because it's so hard, "Better people start accepting it."
Max scoffs, "Accept my ass." Max seems to only start but then his PR assisstent nudges him and Max schools his expression, "We'll meet at the car after this."

That would've been a jackpot for a wayward intern or engineer to find. He smiled, shaking his head.
“Thanks, man,” he smiled, looking up at George courteously. Man, was he tall, Lewis thought, when he stood straight up like that. He was stock still, just staring at Lewis, unmoving.
“Erm. George? Something the matter?” George’s face flushed further, and he swallowed.
“Your patch,” he said, almost like he was choking; “did you take it off?”
Or: Lewis leaves something behind in the garage, and like a good teammate, George goes to return it. It doesn't go as planned.

In his defence, he had Lewis’ key because he was supposed to stop by his apartment on the way back from his run to give it back to him, and let him know they’d be moving out at the end of the month, and could he be so kind as to give Nico back his own apartment key as well. Except when he got back to the building he realized he should probably take a shower first, so he went up to his apartment and realized he’d brought only Lewis’ key and not his own. This was why he should have taken up Viv on her suggestion of installing smart locks.
Nico lets himself into Lewis' apartment and gets an eyeful.
