The first chapter in a personal take on the Marvel universe, setting the stage for more stories with these X-Men, and other heroes and villains within this limitless world. New mutants are discovering their mutations, ranging from walking through walls to metal skin, and need to contend with both internal fears of their abilities and humanity's aggressive form of supposed defence. These young mutants are aided by the teachers at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, though even the school is unaware of humanity's new weapons to fight mutantkind.

What if some of the X-Kids decided the Brotherhood weren't enemies or a problem to be dealt with, but potential friends they could nag into doing shit like, brushing their teeth and believing in themselves? What if Kurt discovered who his mother was, saw the shit job Mystique was doing leading the brotherhood and said to themself "Fuck it, I'll do it myself?
This is a series of moments that plays havoc with the X-Men Evolution series' original timeline, with the stories beginning roughly in the second half of the kids' junior year of high school, and spanning into their late teens early 20s. The stories fill in the big gaps left by the series and take paths I wish had happened, like Freddy apologizing to Jean, like Kurt getting a circus family, like Todd and Forge having a secret lab together.
Some chapters are in response to the Kodd 2021 revival challenge, but many are me running in my own direction.
