Now, a team of resistance warriors known as the Freedom Fighters, consisting of Sonic The Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles The Echidna, Amy Rose, Cream The Rabbit, Big The Cat, Sally Acorn, Antoine D'Coolette, Bunnie Rabbot, Rotor The Walrus, Sticks The Badger, and Nicole The Holo-Lynx have been fighting Eggman's Army for a while now. Now, our heroes must defend the various Zones of Mobius from Eggman's forces, such as the Badniks and the Egg-Bosses, and various other threats. And along the way, Sonic finds himself falling in love with Amy Rose.

Because of their intruiging capabilities, Rune Rummond is now being sought out by Doctor Eggman. Thinking they were in the clear, Rune and their twisted 'family' of sorts ran into the dense forest, only for three of them to get caught and hauled away to the mad doctor's laboratory.
Years later, Rune finds themselves standing with the Freedom Fighters against a new threat...one that has a soothing voice and a familiar figure. As they are fighting, they realize that not only do they still have feelings for the very threat that tried to kill the leader of the Freedom FIghters, but they may have feelings for multiple members of the team as well. What's a lamb to do?
