    The few hours that follow are interesting to say the least!

    This fic starts quite intense, with some depictions of violence and (not major character) death, but quickly turns into some tooth-rotting fluff and a massive overdose of dopey Reno.

    Based around the Sector 7 plate drop, this story explores the lead up to the mission, the mission itself, and the aftermath from the Turks' POV. How do they react to having to drop the plate, and what is the emotional impact on them afterwards?

    Written for a female reader, this is a story with plenty of fluff and plenty of angst, generally a mature fic but rated explicit for the final chapter. Reno is an amazing character and great to write for - I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I loved writing it!

    There's a whole lot of angst in this one, but will Reno find his happy ending?

      He still hears the faint cries of voices under the rubble, unknowingly calling for the help of the very man who put them there.

      -

      “Stop twisting my words.” Rufus looms, walking stiffly over the threshold until they’re knee to knee. He’s properly furious now, his eyes almost glowing with the indignity of the situation, and Reno likes him better that way. It’s familiar, almost comforting.

      He wants to keep going because this feral, incandescent Rufus is comprehensible to him in a way that the thoughtful, forlorn man in the office wasn’t. Because Reno wasn’t raised like a bonsai. He grew up like a weed; cut down and stomped on until he either keeled over or spread his prickly roots all over the place. Rage and desperation fit him like an old coat and that’s the Rufus he wants, not this cracked, fragile emo boy shit.

      “Then stop pretending I got a choice and just fucking make me,” he says.

      “That’s not what I want.”

      “And you always get what you want, don’t you?” Reno stands, looking him eye to eye, nose to nose.
