Follow Valerie "V" Tokai, a reserved samurai and Unification War veteran, as she attempts to make a new life in the City of Dreams. Featuring a cast of characters from throughout both the TTRPG and video game, as well as deep expositions into the Unification War, Fourth Corporate War, and beyond.
This work is an ongoing graphic novel, it will be updated periodically, at minimum once a week, at most 2-3 times in a day, depending on how much I get done. This is an adaptation of the basic plot structure of Cyberpunk 2077. As such, while it includes most major dialogue from the game, the plot is heavily-modified and features several additional key events, original and returning characters, lore expositions, and other substantial changes throughout. Expect entirely original acts, endings, and character arcs.
You do NOT need prior experience with Cyberpunk, either the TTRPG or the game, to enjoy this work! I have meticulously transcribed everything relevant to the lore, including much of the in-game dialogue, so anyone can understand it, regardless of familiarity.

Now the new Director of Arasaka Counter Intel has a problem. She's uncovered information that indicates that Yorinobu Arasaka, the heir apparent to the Arasaka dynasty, is a traitor. But without solid proof, she's forced to take matters into her own hands.

“The world.” Johnny repeated the phrase slowly. She tasted his revulsion on her tongue. “This world?” he asked.
He gestured at the trash-strewn alleyway. The dog had finished its meal and had settled to sleep in a blanket likely left there before by a homeless person. “This is your brave new world?”
“No, Johnny,” she said, her voice echoing the revulsion he'd forced her to feel. “These are just the rats that got caught.”

V found hereself on the roof, with Johnny sitting by her side. Their gaze was fixated on the luminescent glow of the Secure Your Soul advertisement in the towering building before them.
"So, what will it be?" Johnny's voice broke the silence. After everything they went through, V was able to notice the small jitters of anxiousness as he waited for her decision.
But V doesn't remember the answer she gave. Instead, she found herself jolted awake in her former apartemnt - her very old apartment, one she had while working for Arasaka's counterintelligence.
Was it all just a dream? A warning? An opportunity?

It's sort of "time-travel" I guess (??). I wanted to play with the idea of fixing shit to get a happier ending for our V.

Valerie “V,” once second-in-command of the Counter Intelligence Division for Arasaka, purged in a corporate power play and plunged into a life of a merc alongside Jackie Welles. Until a botched heist resulted in a friend’s death, and a life expectancy countdown—Johnny Silverhand.
After searching for a cure, and her choices in Dogtown—sending Songbird to the Moon and killing Reed—leave her hunted by the NUSA, it leads her back to the original plan: reach Mikoshi beneath Arasaka Tower.
Rejecting help from others, she accepts Johnny’s reckless plan to storm Arasaka alone. Just the two of them.
But when they reached Mikoshi, the truth was revealed. Even without Johnny, she has only months to live. Choosing her friend’s survival at least, over self-preservation, she surrenders herself to Alt, passing into the Blackwall while Johnny had remained adamant to the end to stick to the plan until he is forced into his friend’s body against his will.
Months later, and a hundred holo-calls, Panam still believes Johnny stole V’s life and swears to hunt him down and bring her back. Unbeknownst to her, that was exactly what Johnny plans on doing. Even if it’d cost him his life just to bring V back.

Largely a rewrite of the base game V x Judy storyline, with some auxiliary material on top of that. Perspectives alternate, though in scenes featuring Judy I tend to default to her POV.
Usually there's deviation from how the scenes go in the game in terms of dialogue, but I plan no major changes in the general plot.
I use a fairly significant amount of vanilla dialogue, but I feel it's required for the context a lot of the time. If you know those scenes well, feel free to skim lines that look familiar. -
