“Hey,” Judy said, poking her head into the room. It was late—Wolf and Honeybee had headed back to the guesthouse and Dad had already made his nightly tuck-in rounds—but Judy looked wide awake. “Can I come in?”
“Sure,” Ham said, patting the comforter beside him. Judy was usually in the no-knocking-necessary camp, so he was surprised that she was being so timid now. She also proceeded to flop down face-first on the foot of his bed, groaning, so something was definitely wrong.
Judy and Ham have a chat.
