The reason they had made it back at all. She was still an outsider, she knew, but it was worth it. She had everything set to a plan. Nothing and no one would ruin it.
Nat knew that she wasn’t perfect. She was flawed, more so than most. She watched the others pick themselves up and return to who they were like it was nothing. Jackie was so perfect already. Lottie even started adjusting. Why couldn’t she get better too?
