Summary
Oscar had thought that it was the end when he woke up in an unfamiliar room, hung up by the very same Grimm that had knocked him out in the first place, and staring at Salem.
As it turns out, thanks to a last-minute hail-mary by Ozpin and the largest accident in all of Remnant, it was only the beginning.

Summary
“Stop panicking. You’re going to be fine.”
Emerald wants to believe Mercury. Really, she does. But this is betraying Salem they’re talking about. This isn’t peanuts.
She, Mercury and Neo have poured over the plan what has to be hundreds of times by now, stealing moments away at the makeshift camp they had all set up in the wilds outside of Vale. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts - god, but what if he’s ready for them? What if Salem’s ready for them? What if she knows about what they’ve been planning this entire time? She’s not here, but her monstrous Seer is - what if it had been listening in on them?
(OR: Mercury, Emerald and Neo attempt to make their getaway from Salem during a battle. Meanwhile, Oscar's been cast adrift, with nothing left to live for. Their paths intersect, and they must all make a choice- do what is right, or do what is easy.)

Summary
When it’s over, and everyone’s left either doubled over in pain or backed into a corner out of fear, the kid is gone.
Neo’s eyes flit to Cinder, crumpled into a bloody heap on the floor. Again.
And that raised the question - if that was what Salem would do to her right-hand woman just for failing a mission -
-Then what the hell was she gonna do to that kid?
(OR: After Oscar is captured, Neo attempts to adjust to life in Salem's ranks. It does not go well.)

Summary
“Trash?” Oscar remarks, unable to stop the exasperation from leaking into his voice. Sure enough, the back alley is full of it, a few square feet away from being a full-on junkyard. Heaps of scrap metal and debris from the abandoned buildings standing on either side are piled together, years and years of trash towering above the two of them. “You brought me all the way out here to see a big pile of garbage?”
“Close,” Mercury replies, stretching his arms over his head. “I brought you all the way out here to smash a big pile of garbage.”
And before Oscar can respond to that, Mercury snaps his metal leg forward, kicking a pile of debris down with an explosive ‘crack’! Oscar jumps as the pile collapses, dust billowing up from the heap.
“W-why?” Oscar asks, as Mercury steps over a hubcap, seemingly looking for something in the wreckage.
“Helps me feel better.” Mercury picks up a long iron stake, noticing the rusty sheen on its surface, before throwing it behind him. “Good way to blow off some steam.”
(OR: What happened on Team OMEN's end when Penny eavesdropped on Oscar's conversation.)

A conglomerate rewrite AU featuring a dozen different AU ideas packed into one fanfic. Don't read the tags if you want to be surprised by the changes, but if you want to get an idea of what to expect, they're there.

On Hiatus, the latest chapter didn't turn out well and revealed a lot of narrative issues that would plague the following chapters. I don't really feel great about continuing this if I can't fix those problems.Series

Summary
Emerald and Neo bring Cinder back after the failed fight with the new Winter Maiden. Salem does not like to repeat herself and is cross (to say the least) with Cinder disobeying her. Mercury makes sure the distressed Emerald gets out of there. Mercury, Emerald, and Neo decide to ally together. Maybe a certain farm boy will find his ticket out and find a way to repay their kindness.
Update: October 9th, 2023. Fixed some obvious errors in grammar, tense, and spelling. Wow, I needed to do that. Also changed some lines for clarity etc.

Summary
“...This seems like a solid plan,” Emerald said, after flipping through a few pages. “But we’ve only got three days to set this up. You sure we can do all this?”
“Honestly - no.” Oscar replied, voice cracking a little bit. “But it’s either this, or we just run in guns blazing, and probably get arrested.”
'I kinda like the second plan better', Neo signed. Oscar opted to ignore her.
(OR: the team forms a multi-step plan to break into Shade Academy and steal the catacomb blueprints before Salem can. Of course, writing it down on paper is much easier then going out and actually doing it.)

Summary
“I don’t want to do this.”
Mercury looked up, arching a thin eyebrow, leaking oil from his legs trickling onto his mat, staining the white sheets. “...Excuse me?” He asked.
“I don’t want to do this.” Emerald repeated. “Merc - you know what’s gonna happen, I know what’s gonna happen. This is a lost cause.”
“Look, just because Cinder failed this one mission, doesn’t mean you have to throw in the towel.” Mercury shot back, crossing his arms. “It’s not even our fault anyways-”
“I meant in general.”
A tense silence falls over the shack, silver eyes widening in surprise.
(OR: Emerald's often felt like her heart is where her brain should be. Today though, it might be a good thing.)

Summary
In the clearing Mercury and Emerald had reached, there were only a few things.
One, there was a crooked tree. Only half of it had leaves, the other half withered and charred. It seemed the tree was half dead. Underneath it, there was a tire swing, the rope long having since rotted and snapped.
Behind the tree, was a shack.
A very familiar shack.
(OR: Mercury goes back to a his old house. Emerald tags along.)

Summary
“Hold on -” Emerald interjected, Neo’s head whipping back and forth between the three of them like it was some kind of fascinating tennis match. “If we want to get a ticket to Vacuo around here, we probably shouldn’t be spending any money. We have what, three hundred lien between the four of us?”
“How do three international criminals not have more than three hundred lien between them?” Oscar exclaimed.
“The economy is in shambles.” Mercury replied with a smirk.
(OR: Team OMEN, fresh out of their escape from Salem and jail, attempt to get money the only way they know how - tricking people. And by people, they mean Whitley Schnee.)

Summary
Despite Vale and everything that happened there, spirits in Team OMEN were high - higher than they had ever been, in fact. They had gained a powerful and influential alley - albeit one who was kind of a douchebag - and they now had a game plan for some way to stop Salem’s plans for Vacuo dead in their tracks. Were they entirely legal ways? Maybe not. But for the first time - well, ever - Mercury finally felt like he was doing some genuine good, and he was sure that Emerald probably agreed with him.
(OR: Team OMEN arrives in Vacuo, and attempts to set up the pieces for their plan. Not everything goes correctly, however...)

Summary
“...We… were tricked.” Blake finally admitted, sounding just as burnt out as Ruby felt.
“Tricked?!” Jaune exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. “CONNED is more like it! They ran in circles around us!”
“It seems the blueprint’s proximity alarms going off was all part of their plan too.” Ren mumbled, eyes fixed on the floor. “We played right into their hands.”
It made sense why Team OMEN did what they did. But still… using his very existence as a distraction? And knowing it would work?
Ruby felt like she should be more angry at Oscar, but at the same time, she was just kind of happy to see him, even if he did end up pulling a fast one and stealing the blueprints they worked so hard to protect.
(OR: What happens after a night that goes well for one team, and poorly for others.)
