"You asked me to come," he retorts, and Hal smiles, showing sharp, jagged teeth, and Booster guesses Parallax left more scars on Hal than the reports had recorded.
"You're the only one who doesn't get scared easily by this," he explains, tugging at the chains as if it were a gesture. "Bruce seems to hate me, Clark looks at me with compassion, and Oliver doesn't seem to recognize the face of the man he tried to kill, but you... You just see someone miserable."

When Barry is asked to go to the Watch Tower due to some unknown disturbances, the last thing he expectes to find is a Parallax-possessed Hal Jordan. Even more shocking is when he finds himself pinned to the ground under her, though she seems far from interested in fighting him.

“What are you doing?” He asked, rather bluntly, and ignoring the flush on his cheeks when he felt her sink back down against him. He wasn’t stupid to the way her suit was filled out, nor the way her legs straddled his leg that wasn’t wrapped up by a boney tail rather than the whole of his hips. He felt the little aborted movements against it when he tried to move. The only thing that didn’t make sense was that there had been no build up. No tussle, no honeyed words, nothing. He’d been jumped by her as soon as he saw her, which had only been moments ago. So why was Parallax rock hard against his knee and huffing as he tried to push her back?
“Mate.” She hissed out, and wow, Barry was not expecting that to be the answer! At all!

“Hal?” Barry breaks the silence. He looks surprised but also unsure. He takes a tentative step forward, but then stops, and Hal can tell he barely recognizes him with the heavy green armor and cape he wears, and with the decade of age that has deepened the lines of his face and painted the hair at his temples white. Hal, fearful that Barry too will see him as some kind of monster and not the same honest, decent man he’s always been and is desperately trying to prove he still is, wills himself into his regular civilian jeans, t-shirt, and jacket. It’s a form he doesn’t take all that often anymore, and the weight of his regular clothes feel strangely unfamiliar on his body.
“Hi, Barry,” Hal swallows, voice breaking when he says Barry’s name. God, it’s been so long since he’s said Barry’s name.
