So, Jason Todd wasn’t enough. His death wasn’t enough.
Except for one version of Bruce Wayne that he’d met in one of his cross universe adventures, a few crises back — an older guy, way crazier than his Bruce (who was already crazy), a hardass in every way possible, a freak who lived all alone in a bunker (like he’d always known Bruce was destined to do — LIKE HE SAID!) — and that weird, awkward, hostile fucking shut-in of a Batman — and he was the one who had loved his Jason enough to kill the Joker when he was supposed to. As far as Jason knew, in the entire multiverse, he’d been the only Bruce, the only non-evil Batman who had ever done that.
Was he the only Bruce that actually loved him? Maybe! And then that Bruce died. In Jason's arms. That was that.
... Until now! When that Bruce comes back -- smack dab in the middle of Jason's trying to make nice with the Batfam era. Terror ensues.
